In town for a work trip and needed someplace a little more quiet to chat. A local coworker recommended the drinks, and WOW, was he right! Amazing craft cocktails that reminded even this seasoned bartender of the art is really can be in addition to the unique ambiance and fabulous staff made for a great experience all around. I wouldn't hesitate a moment to go back.
Let me tell you, this is now one of my top spots in Dallas now thanks to the recommendation from the receptionist at SOVA. It’s Hungarian food with a classic old school pub with a much hipper but fun vibe. The Traditional Wiener Schnitzel caught my eye right away when I was looking online which only sold the deal that I was going here. The best part is they did not disappoint, it was one of the best I’ve had. I always want more sauce so it could have used a little more but it was crispy, no air pockets between the cutlet and the crust, I mean it was worth it 1000%.
Interesting restaurant design concepts. The decor is almost like worshipping Satan or Goth. Haha. But it is not the bad kind, it pretty cool btw. We were here slightly too early for dinner, so it practically empty. The food on menu is towards Eastern European cuisine which mostly I am not familiar with except the schnitzel. They have some bloody good drinks also. Pricing is pretty average and the service is not bad. I would recommend to come here for a drink at night to soak in the atmosphere.
Girlfriend and I went for Halloween and it was a nice cozy old world vibe bar with really great food. Definitely need to check out if you’re in Deep Ellum.

Was not expecting the diverse food menu they had, it was delicious. The atmosphere was also very stylish dive and the food matched the vibe just didn't expect that cuisine. At places like this it is usually good but it is elevated bar food and can sometimes still feel unhealthy. Here they had such a variety, I ended up ordering the chicken thighs prepared paprika style with spätzle. Cooked and seasoned really nice and the overall dish was great. The cocktails are fun and inventive too.
Fantastic spot. With pictures of famous Hungarians on the wall and a ruin bar sort of theme we were transported to Budapest. The Langos , Gulyas, and octopus were to die for. Just enough Paprika to take me to Hungary. The service was amazing too. Nice but not fake nice. Their suggestions were on point and made for a memorable experience.
An absolute GEM. So glad we stopped in for drinks, each one we ordered was delightful. Exploring their menu is honestly fun, their Hungarian food is delicious. The flatbreads are shareable because so big, & I will be craving it more. The spatzle was yummy & a good texture. Aaliyah (sorry if misspelled) was a wonderful host to our group & made the experience even better. The back patio made me so happy. Huge heaters floating above made us forget it was cold outside.
This is my favorite bar in Dallas. I love the vibe and aesthetic and everything I’ve tried has been delicious. The drinks are inventive, attractive and balanced, with good flavor and interesting pairings. I love the charcuterie board, so many interesting things on it and pretty filling. A great value for the cost, too.
This restaurant's Hungarian dishes were Fantastic!
I am Hungarian and last night we took 5 of our friends to try as many dishes as we could. We started w langos topped w cheese and sour cream. Then tried the Vadaszos langos w the meat and vegetables. We then had gulyas soup and porkolt which are often mistook for each other. After those we tasted paprikas csirke and lecso. Both were beautifully served and had a bit of a kick from the paprika. We ended w palacsintas.
Our waitress, Maddie was charming, and efficient.
We also sampled a great variet of cocktails which were delicious and were cleverly named.
The weather on the patio was an added bonus to make the eveninh truly special.
I highly recommend this place. Kudos to the chef.
A wonderful sensory experience! The theme and food is amazing, all the way from design to execution on the plate and pour of the cocktail.
Had one hellish day at work, looked up a good whisky bar and when I saw in the photos they had not just the token Scotch you see everywhere, but a good selection including my favorites from the little island of Islay, I had to go to burn off the bad day.
The staff was awesome, the food felt like grandmas home cooking, and after smelling the awesome burning cedar plank, had to try the smoked old fashioned, which felt like a wonderful fall hug. Had a good dram of Caol Ila 12, a new one for me that I now need my own bottle of!
Will seriously be back soon, got a few other in their Scotch selection I need to try!
Dan is an amazing owner who takes care of his patrons and what they are looking for in a drink. Dan wants everyone to enjoy their time at his establishment and everything he does is to ensure everyone is comfortable and enjoying their time at Armoury D.E.
Came in late and they were still servicing food, which was great. Great selection of Whiskey that is decently priced. I would recommend this place.
Super cool vibe and aesthetic in a bar that serves interesting and well crafted drinks as well as some super tasty dishes. They’re in the heart of Deep Ellum and both their bar and kitchen are open until 2am! Perfect for those late night, post-concert hankerings.
Also. If you are of the opinion that octopus can never taste tender and delicious, you NEED to come here. The Charred Pulpo is exquisite and melts in your mouth. 🤤🤤🤤
The food here is delicious! There are great cocktails and an interesting beer selection. They rotate there tap as expected. The dinning space is great, the service is super. The staff was very accommodating, attentive and friendly. Definitely check it out you won’t be disappointed.
It’s easy to see why Armoury makes Dallas’s top 100 restaurants. The charred octopus was truly incredible. It was like nothing I’ve tried before, and I’m so glad I ordered it! I’ve had octopus elsewhere and have been turned off by how chewy/rubbery it is. That was not the case at Armoury. It was flakey, flavorful, and one of a kind. The porkolt was filling, delicious, and comforting. The charcuterie and cheese options were adventurous, delectable, and just all around fantastic.
I also ordered a couple drinks - Alpine Occult and Call Me Big Poppy. I loved both of them.
If you’re looking for something quiet, try it around lunch. Otherwise the bar vibe is loud in the evening.
10/10 recommend this place
Seriously, fantastic food and cocktails!! Awesome patio in the back to watch bands. It's such a really cool atmosphere.
Very cool location. They have an outdoor patio in the back with seating and lovely murals. The food is great and their cocktail list is impressive. One of my favorite spots in the area!
Visiting from out of town and decided to stop for a cocktail in Deep Ellum. The cocktails and service were superb. Music and the vibe overall were just great. Highly recommended.
