By far one of my long term favorite Mexican food restaurants. Wait staff is phenomenal. Your greeted as soon as you come in and thanked for coming when you leave. They leave my chips, salsa and sweet tea filled to the brim. My waitress let's me create my own platter of my favorite dishes. Been a long term customer and will continue to be so. Not enough stars for them.

We had dinner here around 5:00 on 11/9. We were warmly welcomed and seated immediately. We just so happened to show up during happy hour, so we ordered the basic margaritas on the rocks. They were delicious. When we were seated, we were given chips and salsa while we perused the menu. The chips were an odd texture, but the salsa was extremely flavorful and more than made up for that. We ordered a bowl of queso for the table as well, and that was also scrumptious. So the chips kept disappearing despite their texture. For my entree, I got the pechuga de pollo with double rice instead of beans. And instead of sour cream sauce, I got it topped with grilled Serrano peppers and cheese. The peppers were incredibly spicy, but the dish was so fantastically delightful. We really enjoyed our dinner experience here.

This no frills Tex-Mex institution turns out pretty good renditions of the classics that are very well seasoned. The atmosphere definitely has that “shopping center” vibe and the service can be spotty, depending who you get, but the quality of the food makes it worth the trip. I’d prefer a spicier/more interesting salsa, but the puff beef tacos and sour cream enchiladas are some of the best in the city. Great place for a casual weeknight dinner with the family.

I love the fact that they bring a carafe of salsa to the table because I love it and I don’t have to keep requesting more! It’s delicious. Our food was all so amazing. The fajita meat was so tender and had the best flavor. We will definitely go back again! We enjoyed every bite.

Stopped in for lunch with nine people. Food was excellent, price was right. Service was great. They served all of us well. Great experience, lots of food. Chips were great, sauce was somewhat spicy for a few of us.

Been here a few times. Excellent food. One thing I really like that they do is leave a serving jar with salsa. I usually end up finishing the salsa very quickly and it’s nice to have more already on the table! Very highly recommend the food and drinks!!!

Best Tex-Mex in Dallas! Family owned and run. Single location NOT a franchise. Very tasty mild salsa for the North Dallas crowd. Salsa served in individual bowls so you don't have to fret over others double dipping....very thoughtful. The chips were so fresh and crisp. The crispy beef taco is one of the best I've ever had. The chicken verde enchiladas were top notch. Oh, and not pictured was the sopapilla OMG!. Ask for the honey to smother the sopapilla. It reminded me of a homemade donut that I use to cook on Saturday mornings with my kids. Service was a 9 out of 10. We had multiple people come to our table to take care of our needs. Price: very reasonable. We didn't have any alcohol so the price was very affordable. The meal, drink, tax and 20% tip amounted to about $25 each.

Very nice family owned restaurant. It’s been around since 1947. Classic tex-mez food. I was pleasantly surprised to see the famed San Antonio puffy tacos on the menu and they did not disappoint.

We held a casual private party in the party room. Mauricio, the manager, was easy to work with and very accommodating. The room had a large screen TV for our presentation. They allowed us to bring in a cake. Our service was attentive and quick to all our guests’ needs. I would highly recommend Tupinambas for all your party needs.

This has to be my favorite Mexican restaurant! Love #13. Love Tupy's tacos! The food here never fails to please. Have been eating at Tupinamba's since the 70's and followed them around whenever they moved.

For 45 years, at multiple locations, with many different guest/girlfriends, this is been my favorite Mexican food of all time. Tonight was no exception. The staff that greet you at the front door is friendly and accommodating! Then the wait staff, is accommodating and very good to bring you refills when you need it. It’s no understatement to say that this place is worth the drive from Fort Worth. Hi
