Great place to eat. It is small place but its always packed with people. The breakfast is good. I enjoy their menudo and caldo. They have great service and always delivers on good food and friendliness.
El Jordan bad service.. Yesterday I had to ask for chips and salsa three times. She finally brought them after my meal was finished. There were only four tables occupied at the time. I will not go back.
This place is what you want out of all your favorite hole in the wall cuisines. Low key, cheap, super clean and delicious food. I hear bfast is the best, but my lunch here (Caldo de Rez) was like a medicine. With each bite I felt healing. Don't miss this place.
Drop in to El Jordan...You'll be glad that you did!. I was with my family strolling around the Bishop Arts District and stopped into this authentic Tex-Mex find! I felt like we stepped into a Mexican border town cafe. The guacamole, enchiladas, refried beans, and flour tortillas were great....the queso, not so much. The fajita quesadillas were well seasoned and tender.
Great AUTHENTIC restaurant. If your looking for the best menudo in town, menudo that tastes like real home made menudo, look no further than El Jordan.
So happy we stopped in El Jordan for breakfast/brunch. Ordered bacon omelette, breakfast burrito, and menudo for 2 people - all under $30 total. Big portions (note: the breakfast burrito is more of a snack and priced as such). Great homey atmosphere and friendly service. Feels very home cooked. Ask for spicy red sauce if you can handle some heat. Definitely recommend!
It has the feeling of a small town cafe on the square and the food to match. I ordered two eggs over medium which they came out. Exactly that way, two sausage patties, and two pancakes and all was tasty. The eggs already had salt on them so if you don’t like a lot of salt, you might ask them to hold the salt (I don’t salt my eggs - just pepper) My server was probably in my top five ever of being the most friendly. The prices were incredibly reasonable, and I can highly recommend this place for a good basic breakfast. If I come back, I will definitely try a breakfast burrito.
Food taste great - Lorena and her brother are awesome
Never been here ,the coffee strong and delicious, the service was outstanding, french toast was soft and flavorful just with powdered sugar
Pro tip: start your day in Bishop Arts with a bag full of El Jordan breakfast tacos. Even if you have brunch plans, you'll want a pre brunch snack while you wait to be seated and you'll definitely want them after the third bar.
Other tip: Their phone doesn't work while the credit card machine is processing. Just keep calling.
I had breakfast here 2 days in a row. Super nice people, great food at a reasonable price. I had huevos ranchero's one morning and the oatmeal with cinnamon the next. Both were delicious!
Authentic Mexican breakfast. Breakfast burritos are a decent size. Breakfast special for my daughter included pancakes very affordable. Chips and salsa provided. Salsa was fresh and not too spicy. We had the Horchata which was amazing. I would return just to order the drink again. Definitely recommend this location for breakfast.
Eating here reminds me of home. The staff are excellent and very friendly. I ordered a Carnita Torta which was prepared wonderfully with tender carnitas, good toppings, and great bread. The Horchata was the highlight of my day.
My daughter and I visted this place for breakfast. We both had pancakes, they were fantastic, and split the vegetarian omelet plate. It was a lot of food and the prices are very reasonable. Really good.
Great spot for quick, tasty, and very affordable Mexican food. Small cafe setup, service was friendly, and food came out quick. The chips and salsa came out first and the chips were still warm. We had the huevos rancheros, migas a la mexicana and horchata. The horchata is delicious and served in a giant cup.
Would definitely come back for a weekend breakfast.
