Jalisco Norte is a True Dallas Gem! Wow! To say the cuisine is delicious, perfectly seasoned, & fresh is a dramatic understatement! Each dish Jose Meza Arroyave creates, exudes the best that authentic mexican flavor, texture and spice has to offer! You can truly taste the love put into each dish by this extraordinary chef! We were first treated to a delicious branzino ceviche that had a perfect level of acidity and combined multiple ingredients that provided amazing texture, color and taste that really brought the palette to life. Next, we enjoyed masa encrusted fish tacos. Just amazing! I don't even like fried fish tacos and these are better than any grilled fish tacos in Dallas. Perfectly coated, featuring a light and crispy coating with fresh, succulent fish topped with cabbage and a couple sauces to enhance the experience. Next, we were treated to an exquisite and perfectly cooked "whole" red snapper "veracruzana" style. Literally it was the best version of the dish I've ever had! The complexity of flavors that covered the fish were vibrant and flavorful without taking away the star of the occasion, the fresh red snapper! Its a must have! As for the service, there are 3 words that come to mind, "Above and Beyond"! Our waiter, Jose Louis, who we might as well have called our brother by the end of the meal, treated us like we were a part of his family! He helped create an unforgettable experience for my gf and I throughout the entire evening! He had an unbelievable passion and admiration for his chef and the cuisine he was serving us. He was extremely attentive, answered all of our questions, addressed my nut allergy perfectly, and explained each dish with perfection and grace. In addition, Jose was kind enough to have the owner of the restaurant stop by our table to chat, who also made sure we were being taken great care of, (which we definitely were!) And it doesn't stop there! The GM also came by our table to check in and thank us for coming in and was kind enough to treat us to a heavenly tres leches cake with a coconut ice cream that will change your life! Superb! I wanted to lick the plate! It should also be mentioned that the rest of the wait staff that accompanied Jose Louis was incredible as well! I was never without fresh homemade chips and a full glass of water. The staff's timing, attitude and attentiveness was spot on! The ambience was just as on point as the service as well. Its a elegant atmosphere with just the right amount of music, energy and sophistication. Perfect for a date, business lunch or special occasion! I will be coming back many many more times and it is my hope that Jalisco Norte becomes a true Dallas staple for many years to come! P.S. did I mention they are doing brunch now!! See Y'all soon! Best restaurant of 2018, y'all keep it up! You will be next to impossible to beat. Period :) Thanks for everything! See you soon Jose Louis!

Teriffic Comida & stellar cocktails in a great space. The “treehouse” area is beautiful area of the restaurant for everyday or any special occasion. The bar staff takes very good care of their guests & Jesse is a standout. The staff is a bonus & the shining star is Marisol. She usually serves guests in the “treehouse”. She makes sure you have an exceptional experience. In my opinion, she’s reason enough to visit this great restaurant. You’ll love the food, drinks & staff at this place.

A new treasure to Dallas. Top notch menu, cocktails in a beautiful atmosphere. The treehouse room for dinner provides an ambience that’s not found anywhere.

We went on a friday night without a reservation and the hostesses were really nice and the wait was not too bad. By the time we ordered our drinks ... the BEST chips I've ever had came along with 3 salsas, my favorite one was the roasted green one. Then oure drinks came and they didnt dissapoint. Our waitress suggested the Queso Fundido with Carnitas and Wow it was superb. Then my "small" tortilla soup came and it was by far the best one ive had in a really long time. And we shared it, so not really small. When our food arrived we were already super excited because it looked awesome and nothing was disappointing. I had the Braised short rib and my husband had the lamb barbacoa. They were the most tender and flavorful dishes and the green rice was incredible. I would go back just for the rice! Highly recommended So happy to have in Dallas a restaurant that is making Mexican food the right way. Cant wait to go back!

I am absolutely thrilled to see a new Mexican place in town. There are not enough of these around, to be honest. Fresh flavors that still taste authentic are the name of the game here. There are no silly "gourmet" ingredients that don't belong in tacos here - this place is the real deal when it comes to more upscale Mexican cuisine. For the drinkers, there is a robust selection of classics, as well as more ambitious agave cocktails for the more adventurous spirit (see what I did there). Let me start with the chips and salsa - far and away some of the very best I've had anywhere in the city. You are given three to nosh on - salsa roja, green tomatillo, and roasted chili. All three are incredibly fresh, and absolutely delicious. I will down bowl after bowl of this stuff if left to my own devices. I have tried three cocktails here - the house marg, the Tropical Sazerac (spicy), and the Crafty Paloma (refreshing). While the Paloma was my fave, all three were a cut above. The house marg is not the typical lime syrupy BS you might be accustomed to. The tequila is the star here, and it shows. Good deal for 6 bucks at happy hour! The esquites here are quite incredible. The corn is not the sweet yellow variety you often find at elotes stands, and is shaved fresh off the cob (which is how it should ALWAYS be!). Both my guy and I loved it! We each had an order of tacos - he had the tinga, and I had al pastor. Both were the perfect portion size. Of note - tacos don't come with rice and beans, so if you're expecting this, you won't get it, unless you order on the side. I didn't need them, so it didn't matter to me. The tacos were nicely sized, and the tortillas DIDN'T fall apart while we were eating, which is more important than you'd think. The al pastor tacos were a revelation. The pineapple tasted way better than in any other taco I've tried - incredibly fresh, and it was obvious it was cut and cooked in-house, and didn't come from a can

Exceptional authentic Mexican restaurant in uptown Dallas!! We had a large group of 18 people and everyone loved the food (except the guy who ordered a Caesar salad!) 😂. He regretted that decision and had tremendous food envy after seeing others’ meals. The service was outstanding as well. Our waiter was a lot of fun and really engaged the entire table when recommending options on the menu and taking orders. I will definitely be back on my next trip to Dallas and would highly recommend if for anyone visiting.

Second time here, very good place, with good atmosphere and great service from our server. Our friends and I had several different plates, I had the scallops, which were great, they went very well with sweet potato puree and a mole that were very flavorful. We also had short ribs, which I've had before, also very good; shrimp al mojo, and since we were there during Restaurant Week, my wife had the fixed menu. You will certainly have a good experience and enjoy the food. It's a little pricey, and portions a tad small, the cocktails are good but not that great for their price.

Jaliso Norte is a nice place to have a group outting, lunch or dinner. My group enjoyed their queso, chips, sauces, flautaus as appetizers. The queso fundido was awesome. I had a margarita swirl, it was ok but the drink was on the salty side without tasting the rim of the glass. For dinner I the Salmon dish, it was a bit over cooked but the veggies were great. My colleague had the short ribs and raved about them. My other colleague had shrimp and thought they were huge and tasted great.she wasn't very happy with the menu flexibility. She made a number of requests to try to meet her diet and preferences to no avail ex. change the seafood enchiladas to a shrimp enchilada. Before going make sure you find a dish you like or contact them to see if they can accommodate any dietary or preferred food prep desires.

Very nice restaurant with fast service. If you want a quiet dinner go between 5-7pm because it starts to ge more busy as the evening goes. Food is good for the price. I had the octopus tacos which were very good, my only complaint about it, is that the tortilla gets very soggy because of how its warmed up. Cocktail drinks are a must have with a large selection. Try their margaritas.

Very good tasting restaurant featuring truly authentic Mexican food with great service (thanks Luis!). Here are our recommendations: shrimp cocktail, pozole, sopa de tortilla, chile en nogada (only available in September) and cochinita pibil. Cocktails are made to perfection, try the Izamal and the Paloma. Deserts, order churros and tres leches cake. During happy hour you must taste the birria and the carnitas tacos. IMPORTANT: ask to be seated in the terrace area (casa del árbol) it makes all the difference in the experience. We will come back for sure! Highly recommended.

We've eaten here two different times and my favorite item is the guacamole with warm chips. Service was excellent. The carnitas tacos were good and the chicken and waffles on the brunch menu are also really good. It's a little bit over priced in my opinion, compared to other places I've been in the area.

I adore the ambiance here. My server was incredibly sweet, albeit new and still learning English. His formal Spanish was impressive, and he had extensive knowledge of the tequilas and menu. The food was flavorful, but I suggest increasing the taco plate to at least three tacos since they are quite small. Despite the great taste, they could improve by serving more generous portions.

Good, not great, Mexican option in fun digs. I really enjoyed the Chicken Mole Enchiladas, but the chips and salsa were a total let down for me. Servers seemed very friendly and attentive and the menu offers a wide variety of Mexican favorites. Not a bad choice if you are in the area, but with Dallas being the Mecca of this cuisine, I think there are better options around.

All staff members were really nice and our waitress recommended us the best drinks! Beautiful ambience, and I love the earthy decor. Our waitress was also kind enough to let us taste-test the molé sauce to see if we would like it before we ordered. We got the fish tacos and the brisket enchiladas! Would definitely suggest this spot for a tasty Tex Mex meal!
