Ten Bells is one of the best bars in Oak Cliff: Hands Down. The service is both on point and familiar at the same time. Balancing the relaxed and friendly atmosphere with an execution orientated professionalism isn’t easy and Ten Bells does it time and time again. Beyond serving drinks, the bar is backed by a stellar kitchen. The specials are creative, the core menu is delicious, and the chicken fried steak is one of the best plates in town. Finally, the entertainment runs the gamut from live band to pub quiz seamlessly and seemingly never asks for a cover charge. When you add these considerations to the fact that Ten Bells is active in the animal conservation community, the question becomes why wouldn’t you drink here as opposed to why you should. There aren’t many jewels in Oak Cliff. Ten Bells is one of them.

Best bar in dallas. Seriously though, I love this place. The food is amazing, the staff is the sweeeeetest! There are constant non profit events supporting animals and a whole colony of bar cats (shout to to Jerry and Beatrice!). The chicken fried steak, short rib frites, or salmon bruschetta will knock your socks off. There’s also trivia every other Wednesday night in the summer.

I hardly ever venture out these days, but when I do, Ten Bens is just about the only place that I’ll go. It’s close to home and the atmosphere is always what I’m looking for - low key and inviting. The food is fantastic and the staff and regulars are very welcoming.

My favorite part about Ten Bells, other than having known Meri since early-early-early Lee Harvey's days, is they tolerate neither drunks nor assholes. Drunk assholes? Expect the boomstick to come down on you, permanently. This is a proper pub and, as such, you'd better bring your pub manners.

Great spot in bishop arts. We've gone several weekends in a row now because everyone we've told has wanted to go and we're happy to join them. Food is awesome! Country breakfast and chicken n waffles are the faves. Carafe Mimosas are on point. Service is great and Natalie is the bestest.

One of the finest bars in dfw! Every employee I've ever met is welcoming, personable, friendly and great at their jobs. Great food, great drinks, great people. All those things have kept me going back every chance I get. Oh yea, and the cats. They're pretty cool too.

This is one of my favorite late night places to go. The staff are all amazing and friendly, the food is great and drink selection wonderful. It’s a great place to have a drink after work, or eat some spectacular nachos or just see familiar faces. If you’re basing your decision whether or not to go here by the reviews, the good ones FAR outweigh the bad and from what I could see, the recent bad ones are all about a specific event (and some even left by people who weren’t there). I didn’t know an establishments review section was the correct forum to both defend someone’s behavior and trash a business. Seems to me resolving an issue like that would be better served by the actual individual, in person, to the correct personnel but that’s none of my business.

Tem Bells Tavern is my favorite neighborhood bar in Bishop Arts. The ambience is always fun, lots of outdoor seating, and you never know what kind of people you'll meet. The drinks are reasonably priced and the staff is friendly. They also play a wide range of music so everyone should hear something they like while there.

10 bells is a small place, but has a lot of attraction. It kind of screams reality, from the bartender wearing the pink animal hat s to the skeleton hanging on the ceiling. Bar top is cozy and they seem to know their drinks. He's also a place to sit outside and landing which also looks very cozy. All in all this seems like a fantastic neighborhood bar. But then you taste the food. The fish and chips is easily in the top five I've ever had, my son had the corny dogs which came as a pair dusted in powdered sugar with an oversized dog which was delicious. My wife had the buffalo chicken sandwich and said she really liked it. That's when I heard that they're actually known for their food and have actually once awards. Check the place out. Definitely think it's worth the time to come over and hear the sound of the bells.

I’ve been here twice and enjoyed both visits. The atmosphere is laid back. We sat on the patio and ordered from the bar. The waiter came out as he was able, but there weren’t dedicated servers. That being said, the service was good and friendly and the food was AMAZING! The Bangers and Mash are excellent. My fave was the Fish and Chips. Superb breading and great flavor. Highly recommend.

Great hidden location with nice patio. Food is good, good presentation. Would have been 5 stars if beer and draft list was more relevant with lots of local brews. Overall, I liked it.

Best brunch place in Bishop Arts! Great food, nice open patio, friendly staff. I had the salmon benedict and it was absolutely amazing! My husband had the chicken and waffles and he said it was probably the best he's ever had in Dallas.

I was looking for a place with an English breakfast for my husband (he’s been obsessed since we went to Europe a few years ago), and this place did not disappoint! The chicken on my waffle was perfectly crispy, the blood sausage was a delicious reminder of the Heathrow airport, and a mimosa carafe was only $15. There was plenty of shade on the patio, and the staff was very friendly! It’s a bit of a drive from Fort Worth, but I still have a feeling we’ll be back!

Best brunch around!! Get the country breakfast and you won’t be disappointed. Their burgers and Nachos are amazing! Jake and Don are some of the best bartenders, if your anywhere around the area, you have to stop by. The patio is also dog friendly which is always a plus!

We had brunch here over the weekend and it was AMAZING! I got the smoked salmon Benedict and loved it. The eggs were over cooked at first and I had to send it back and asked for “soft poached eggs”. They were more than happy to get it fixed for me. The eggs were perfect the second time around. Everything was really flavorful and our waitress was a sweetheart. Very cool place.

This place was a low-key favorite of mine about 5 years ago and I’m grateful it was still here when I moved back to Dallas in July. Not only is it alive and well, it’s better than ever! Both dinner and brunch are fantastic and the staff are wonderful. Long live Ten Bells! I’m including my biscuits and gravy picture from today. (I usually get the Benedict but this time I deviated and was equally pleased.)
