We went early on a Monday night and we’re the first customers. We had quick service starting with the most amazing garlic rolls that were included with our entree meals. They were fresh, soft, hot and garlicky. The best part was the touch of salt that set all the flavor off. They were luxuriously delicious! And then the chicken parmigiana was the most tender pieces of chicken, perfectly breaded with crisp edges and a strong red sauce. Truly wonderful meal!
The Detroit style pizza is very thick and cheesy, my family loves it! I got the eggplant Parmesan and it was perfect. We come here a lot on Christmas Eve and it’s always fun. The wine selection is very nice as well.
Shared a pizza with family. It was very good. . , No, it was great! In fact, I've been disappointed in every place I've tried because you can't get what you order. Well, now I have stumbled on this & I'll be getting my pizza from here, & I live 30 miles away. It was loaded with ingredients like I wanted. Thank you for being there!
We had a LOVELY dinner for my brother's birthday last night and we were very impressed. It smelled heavenly and was so welcoming and cozy inside right from the first step in. The calamari was perfect, Minestrone Soup was very tasty, and 3 people at the table had the Seafood Special. I have NEVER had so much shrimp and crab in a dish, and a portion so large. The cream sauce was delicious and not too heavy. My grandmother said several times how delicious her chicken was. As another reviewer said, the Lasagna serving size is not as large as other restaurants, but I've always thought those portions excessive for lasagna. The Lobster Ravioli was good but too rich to eat more than a quarter of. The mile high Italian Cream Cake they brought for the birthday was plenty to share. The service was impeccable, and the owner(?) even brought out the chef after we told him how much we'd enjoyed our meal. Highly recommend!
The Good:
A place where locals definitely come to eat.
The atmosphere was pleasant. Enough room for everyone to sit and walk without bumping into others.
The decorations were fitting for the place. Not too busy or distracting.
The pizza was delicious! The veggies were definitely fresh.
The Bad:
The garlic rolls, although tasty, could’ve been baked a tad less or have had a better rising agent. They were rather flat, compared to other Italian restaurants.
The Ugly:
The bar area was very random. A giant TV playing sports ruined the mood a bit, since the decor is red and black, but the bright glow of the TV ruined it a bit.
Recommendations:
Perhaps moving the TV to a location that didn’t cast a blue glow on everything?
Allow the garlic bread to rise higher than 1.5 inches.
This place has great food. From the salad to the entrees, the quality is fresh. I like the minestrone soup and the delicious pizza. Be prepared to spend some money for this place is not cheap. Overall, this place has great food at a great location.
Wonderful classic Italian restaurant with very attentive staff. We had a large group of 10 walk ins and they handled us perfectly!
Food was great, service was pretty good, the tables are a little crowded together. People needing to use a walker or wheelchair have a difficult time navigating the restaurant. I have been here a few times, never have I had food that was not great.
Had dinner here last night. Had the chicken parmesan (opted for meat sauce over marinara) w salad. Huge portion and very tasty! Had the house salad, would probably go w the ranch option over the house dressing next time. Dinner rolls they bring out are top notch. My date had the eggplant plate and she loved it. Looking forward to trying their pizza next time.
Artichoke hearts 💕 yum

Best garlic knots ever...
Keep up the amazing job 👏 👍

Not bad. Came here for Valentines. It was crowded. Everything was good. Food was good. What I have noticed - portion size was for normal people - first time I left without carrying a doggie bag. At the same time - prices are biting. I pay same money in other places, get same great food, take food home and eat couple more times. Still good food!
Had a rare opportunity for my son and I to have a guys night out. Hit up longstanding local fave Alfonso's.
Started off with a mighty fine Old Fashioned. We both had the minestrone for starters. Charlie said his Chicken Piccata was "REALLY good". And our server, Lupita, was spot on with her recommendation of the Seafood Special, crab and shrimp with penne, in a white wine sauce with garlic, tomatoes and chives. It's a winner if I'd order it again, and I would.
Thanks to Nancy Black of White Rock Lake Weekly for the suggestion.
