Hands down the best brick oven pizza I've ever had. It was cooked perfectly and I even ate the crust which I don't normally do. We also tried their Blackened Chicken with Angel hair pasta and Alfredo sauce...it is now my favorite! Nice staff and great food! Will definitely go back!

Excellent food! We stumbled upon this place driving through Deep Elum. So glad we stopped and tried. The pizza is amazingly wonderful. Pasta was pretty good too. And the garlic twists are to die for. Can’t wait to go back.

My husband works in Deep Ellum so I've sampled the blackened chicken pasta and the chicken alfredo already....last night we both got the chicken parmesan and it was excellent!! I walked in to pick up our order and the staff was friendly...we live in Garland but making the drive to Deep Ellum is worth it!! GREAT FOOD!!

My favorite late night spot. Serious Pizza who??? I love the everything here...and the fact that it is B.Y.O.B now. My friends and I sit on the patio and we always enjoy ourselves. Staff is so kind and clean. I've been frequenting this spot for some years now..LOVE Love love it!
Me and my co workers ordered from here Wednesday. I got the Chicken Pesto Pizza and it was great, you get a lot for your buck. Will be ordering again soon �

Excellent Pizza! In fact some of the best I have had in a LONG time. The crust was perfection! Perfect balance of toppings and cheeses. A must stop if you are in downtown Dallas!
I tried the mushroom and meatball over angle hair pasta. It was spicy but good and the service was good too. Now it was a Thursday night and there was very few patrons in the house. For the price it was a good deal and since we had spent the last three weeks eating Baylor Hospital fair while watching over a family member in the ICU the sparse decor was somewhat comforting.
Ordered some Togo food tonight! Great choice. I enjoyed the chicken Marsala with the garlic knot bread and my husband loves the BBQ chicken pizza! Don't let the character of the exterior scare you out of trying! The best spots are usually the whole in the walls :)
Good choice for Italian in the area. Super fresh, delicious but minimalistic, just as an authentic italian meal would be. Would recommend the chicken pesto and traditional breadsticks, but be forewarned, portions are small.
To say that the interior is homey would be pushing it, but the staff make it an inviting, relaxing place to eat. And since Elm St. is (usually) fairly quiet, the patio was a nice place to have a couple drinks.
Parking is easy on metered street spots or in adjacent (abandoned?) parking lot.

There are people in our city who need a late night delivery and dine-in Italian option that is decent and fairly priced. Mama Mia is that. Here's what you wrote:
"Definitely the worst meatsauce I've every had. The "meat" was frozen pellets of pizza topping. The "sauce" was definitely not homemade, but rather a generic canned sauce. My dish looked like a plate of little turds, probably tasted no better."
Ms. Lankford, did you think you were about to be served by a classically trained Italian chef? Did you think that there was a pizzaiola in the back adhering to the strict disciplines of neopolitian cuisine while they were preparing your order?
If so, you were in the wrong place and your expectations are unfair to this establishment.
I've been enjoying Mama Mia's food for nearly ten years now. I primarily order delivery and they are always friendly, prompt, and delicious.
Yes. It's a red-sauce, no frills sort of place. But I'd much rather eat here alone than take you to dinner at any fine dining establishment.
Your review belies your character. Quick to judge, unaware, and ultimately superficial. I hope someday you're with friends in need of pizza and have to order Mama Mia's at 3AM. It's probably happened already. No doubt you scarfed it down with no thought to how your overly critical review has impacted their business.

Great food. Im not from Dallas but I take a trip to Dallas every year and everytime I go I make it a point to stop and have dinner here!
The food & service was absolutely wonderful. As my 2 year put, this is the best food I ever had in my life. For mom it is the best Italian food I have had.
I love Mama Mia!. I live in Deep Ellum, so its really convenient to call in for delivery or just stop by. The food is amazing, especially the lasagna!

Lunch Special. A great place for a quick lunch lasagna. Fresh and hot and in it's own little pan just for you. And the bread, well, there are not words for it, just trust me, amazing.
The salads are fresh too. Try the Ceaser.
Yummy. I've ordered delivery and sat in the dinning and both have been excellent service, food terrific, delivery on time, surely I'll order again and again.

Good Food, good prices, especially lunch. I've only dined in several times, they are not a chain, good basic American-Italian cuisine: pastas, salads and pizza. Huge menu, and amazingly, they have no problem tweaking a menu selection to suite your preference. Amazing, that's customer service. Place is, well, 'old' and probably looks great if you've had a few drinks and it was night time LOL, but don't let the charm of the place scare you off.
I came in on a Sunday at 6:30. There was no wait. I order a veggie lasagna and a veggie pizza. Both of them were good but Ive had better. The service was good and pretty fast. I see myself coming back soon. This is not a place to take a lot of friend due to small space.

Big, Fresh made Slices, I got two of the Specialty ones for right under $10. Toppings were high quality. Crust was right amount of crisp & thickness. Sauce could be better but still good.
Service was friendly and helpful.
There are not that many places in Dallas to just get a Late Night Slice or two, so if your looking for that check this place out!!

Absolutely wonderful. Exactly what you would expect from the Mom and Pop vibe it gives off from the street. Nothing too fancy but that's part of the charm. The service was wonderful, I called ahead and they were very helpful and saved a spot for me. Jared went above and beyond in such a short meal to make me feel welcomed. It's nothing fancy but the food definitely hits the spot and still has the mom and pop pizza diner feel! Definitely worth checking out when you're in the area.
Great little Italian eatery located in Deep Ellum. It is family owed and kind of a dive restaurant but the food is legit and very reasonably priced. We got an order of garlic knots which were so soft they melt in your mouth. I got the meat lovers stromboli which had great flavor and lots of meat and cheese in the middle. Service was good and they have a small patio which is good for people watching down in the Deep Ellum neighborhood. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for good cheap Italian food with great flavor.

Such a cute and comfy lil pizza spot. You can’t go wrong with a classic cheese pizza and some garlic knots. The waitress was sweet and I’d say the prices here are great for what you get! The only con would be finding parking but that’s not uncommon in the city. Would def come back for more!
Food is actually very good. When we first went, didnt know what to expect, I heard word of mouth to try it. Loved the knots, food is usually served hot, good portions and reasonably priced. Seems they depend a lot on the to go orders as dining area is usually empty when I go (I like it though) still, the kitchen stays moving. Dont know if they will keep the late hours but they are great. Not everyone is in bed by 9.
I had the spaghetti and meatballs. My friend had the Beef Ravioli. His was piping hot but when cool enough to eat he said it was delicious. My dish was very good, the meatballs tender and flavorful. I do recommend this restaurant. The five star rating is despite the non-alcohol menu.
Solid comfort food pizza. What I mean by that is don't expect some gourmet style pies. This is having friends over to watch a movie or game kind of pie.
Staff is down to earth and chill. There's indoor and outdoor seating. They deliver nearby.
