I'm so happy I got to explore Daly City today and tried this authentic restaurant. Since I am from San Jose, majority of the Filipino restaurants are closed due to COVID-19.
When you walk in, you will see a menu on the top right side. Since I already knew what I was going to get before coming, we just ordered two orders of the bbq chicken and bbq pork with pancit. We also got a small order of dinguan, turon, and another item but I completely forgot what it was called. I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for authentic Filipino food.
THIS IS A CASH ONLY SPOT.

Amazing restaurant!! Will definitely come back and try more things. Everything is so well cooked the food melts in your mouth. Try chicken bbq for sure it's great!!! I have never tasted that much tasty chicken. Inside is so clean and cozy and they work very fast. Highly recommend.

So I’ve only really had Filipino food a handful of times in my life so I didn’t know what to expect going up and ordering off the menu with a lot of terms that I was not familiar with. So I kept it simple and just ordered a chicken skewer. Oh man! That level of perfection is something I was not expecting! Perfectly chewy, juicy and the sauce is just right! Even one was very filling actually!

Cash only, tasty BBQ. Pancit noodles had good flavor, would recommend. Slightly preferred the chicken over the pork but both were good and you can't really go wrong. Worth checking out.

last night was the first time we came to that place. But It is definitely not the last. We had great time with the generous service, with the magnificent meal and wine and with the friendly cost. We will absolutely come back soon.

This place is amazing! They have good chicken and pork bbq. It's non-stop grilling and stewing for these folks. It was my first time to try their beef caldereta. It was so tasty. The spice gave it a little bit of kick that makes the dish enticing. Just eat it immediately, cause the lard builds up when the dish cools down a bit 😁

The food here is amazing. For the price you can feed an army. Hidden gem. Looks like a dive but it's the bomb.

The bbq is really flavorful! Truly the best in the Bay. My only concern is just the temperature of some foods. The rice was cold, and the bbq wasn't heated up enough. They put the already cooked bbq back in the pan with the marinade with all the raw meat there, put it back in the grill for only a few seconds. I still ate it and it was fantastic but I know that can be a concern for some people. Other than this, the rest of the food is very tasty (the monggo was amazing!) and the staff is very friendly even to non-Filipinos. The place felt like being in the Philippines again while I ate the foods I grew up with. Thanks Fil-Am!! Just know that there are long lines and it's cash only.

Truly the best bbq skewers anywhere. I live in Hayward but I come here just to buy their dishes. The family owned business is a happy place...very nice folks. Been going here for so many years.

I used to live across the street for at least 5 years and we ate there a few days a week! Now when I visit the Bay it's always a must! I've taken family and friends here when they visit and no one is ever disappointed.. great food, good portions, and cheap! Fil-Am!

The BBQ is the best we've ever tried. We live in another state but come here everytime we visit.

After discovering Fil-Am2 on Grand in South San Francisco, I have been stopping there on the way to work a number of times each week for adobo and other culinary delights. Conveniently located for a stop on the way to the office and easy to park ... so the other day we were going to Lech Go but it was closed so since the original was close by we decided to check it out.
Much more "hole in the wall" and down home versus the more modern FA2 and since it's the same food ostensibly, it should be just as good, right? No way dude, the food is EVEN BETTER at Fil-Am, the portions are bigger and the prices are lower but they are already low at FA2 ... but when I reheated back home I was like, "Wow, this is even better than FA2."
So the moral of the story is both are good but FilAm (the original) RULES!

Cheap and good food! Great people, too!!! $1.89 a stick of BBQ here (chicken or pork) or $7 something if you want to get it somewhere else other than here (Heck to the freaking no no!) :)
