We enjoy Harbor Grill, Good Service, Good Food, It never fails. This is always our first choice, we always take our cherished Family and Friends. We Love their spinach salad, the fish menu and their fabulous rib-eye steak. Last but not least, the carrot cake, so good. We highly recommend The Harbor Grill.

Laurie and I have been patrons and happy diners for over 30 years. It remains as our "go to place" for its fine seafood, superb bar tender and overall perfectly friendly and welcoming ambience. It's a family owned place and John and Wanda Hicks have turned the operations over to son Keegan who has continued and enhanced what is the true delight of a coastal Pacific dining experience!

First time having dinner with my Girl at the Harbor Grill, we had a great experience, food was excellent! Our server gave us great suggestions on what to order. We really enjoyed our visit to Dana point and our dinner!

My wife and I have been coming here (mostly Brunch) for 23 years. The people are wonderful and the food top notch. Best Seafood in South Orange County. By far the best Brunch!

Hadn't been there for awhile - but definitely didn't disappoint. Food is always fresh, prepared perfectly and delicious. It is a bit pricey but hey - I'm worth it. And since it was my birthday I had the little chocolate soufflé cake - terrific! Dark chocolate- yummy!

My second time to be here, the first was in September 17, 2017. We had a sumptuous lunch and enjoyed the time while waiting for our dolphin cruise just next door. The manager was also friendly and approached us. Service was great and recommend this place to friends. Rey B.

The food was awesome. The crab cocktail, the ceviche and the oysters were so good. All our entrees were delicious, including the lobster roll and the halibut special in like a spicy curry sauce. Could not stop dipping my bread in it and the fish was so fresh and yummy. Our server Johanna was flawless. Thank you to all. Will definitely be back next time I'm in town

1st time here and was not disappointed! Told the receptionist it was my very 1st visit and without reservations she seated me at a booth overlooking the marina! The wine selection is top notch! I chose a GRIGICH HILLS chilled Sauvignon Blanc and it was EXCELLENT! $16 Ordered the GRILLED SALMON with basil pesto sauce and garlic mashed potatoes and mixed fruit. $24.95 Generous with the sauce over the salmon and this plate was VERY GOOD! The ice water was served in a carafe so you don't have to wait for refills. Nice touch. And you get a wedge of baked sourdough with plenty of pats of butter too. I chose to take that to go. My waiter Ian was so efficient and accommodating when I requested extra cocktail napkins and lemon wedges. Overall a satisfying experience. I also had a view of the cooks grilling the food which I liked since I'm such a foodie.

Lunch Date with Church Friends…. Food was excellent- Starters - Ceviche and bowl of very unique and delicious CLAM CHOWDER 👍🏼 That was already good enough…but wait there is more……proceeded to order the Blackened Cajun Sea Bass with Garlic Mash Potatoes and Fruit…WOW!! Fresh, Fresh, Fresh……….. Thank You…FYI plan ahead cause even at lunch time their is a line to get in…

Great seafood near the harbor and excellent service. Booked the reservation on OpenTable and they emailed me a free appetizer or desert with purchase of entrée. We utilized the coupon for the raw half dozen Oysters on a halfs hell and they were delicious, served with fresh horseradish and cocktail sauce. The clam chowder was perfect with the complimentary sourdough bread. Decided to order the Japanese style Swordfish with rice and veggies and it was cooked and spiced to perfection. Thanks for Ana amazing dining experince!

Dinner at the Harbor Grill on 2/6/22. I ordered the buttered lobster roll which comes with fries & coleslaw. The lobster roll & coleslaw were decent. The fries were not. They were tasteless, limp and unseasoned. The waiter gave us some celery salt to salvage it. Husbands blackened mahi-mahi sandwich was ok.

Great experience and fresh choices, we got their 3 course meal and the Rainbow Trout which was magnificent. Well priced for the portions and taste is authentic. That rainbow trout perfectly grilled and the sword fish was on point. I highly recommend that place and servers are friendly and attentive.

Great atmosphere and a beautiful view. The staff were very kind and quick to meet your needs. I had the lober ravioli...highly recommend. My husband stayed with the fried calamari and wasnt disappointed!!

Great restaurant outside and inside eating available. Weather really nice for outside eating . Chilean seabass and Prawns were awesome. My favorite appetizer to try is calamari. Their's was very good

Incredible service and really delicious seafood. Had the lobster bun which was a treat. It's a great casual spot to enjoy a good meal. We went at night but if you go during the day, you also get some great views of Dana Point harbor.

I asked some friends where is the best clam chowder in Dana Point and they referred me to the Harbor Grill. I was not disappointed. Best chowder ever, it came with a wonderful portion of sourdough bread. Also ordered a dinner salad. The waitress was very pleasant. Ordered the Key Lime Pie for dessert. Absolutely amazing, would give it 10 stars. If you want to impress someone I highly recommend it. Altogether lovely experience.

Great food good beer! There's a nice ambiance with the piano music! The clam chowder was surprisingly chunky and my filet mignon with potatoes were exceptional!

An extensive seafood menu! The swordfish was excellent. Great wine and beer menu also. I've only been there once, but I was in a party of 16. Great service even still. So close to the marina, you could take a walk along the sailboats before or after your meal.

Excellent wine and oysters after waiting for a while. Maybe best scallops with pasta I've ever had. Recommend. Heaters on the patio. Only reason for dropping a star was the wait.

My wife and I have been coming here since 1995ish. Stumbled upon this place by accident walking around Dana Point and have been coming here ever since at least 3-4 times a year for special occasions. The Louisiana BBQ Shrimp is amazing - handcut fries and the BBQ sauce is unique and I can never get enough! My wife usually gets the Scallops or the Mahi Mahi w/Chutney Sauce or the Lobster Ravioli. All amazing dishes...We remember the owners from way back and their young son. Now we see the son running the place. Awesome to see this family business succeed
