A 'Locals' Bar at the Harbor. Turk's is the kind of place I love finding while on vacation. A great view within feet of the ocean, friendly staff, good drinks, what else could you want in a local bar? And, yes, the food is good too!

Turk's stands out with its copper bar-top, overhead aquariums, and floor-to-ceiling photographs of late owner and Hollywood strongman actor Harry "Turk" Varteresian (who also ran a restaurant in Sunset Beach that eventually became Turc’s bar). He passed on a few years back and his daughter now runs the place much the same as dad did.

The burgers are fantastic, as are the homemade soups (I like the clam chowder). A great place for a weekend breakfast/lunch or an evening drink before dinner. I recommend the pepper steak or the prime rib.

I have been going to Turks for about 30 years, it has changed very little. The food and people are very nice, some times fast sometimes slow. This IS your neighborhood bar with a view... sorta.

It's an iconic place on the water in Dana Point with a super cool vibe and the walls decorated with all kinds of vintage art and pictures and goldfish tanks on the ceiling. Food was good and the service was too even though the lone waitress (was there twice so both times) seemed a bit overwhelmed. I had the shrimp scampi special , bottle of wine, zucchini sticks and the homemade chowder which was great. Their staple dish is Fish & Chips but it was too deep fried and breaded for my taste. The Californian Sandwich was incredible though. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Just felt like a throwback to the days of the old Marina bars. And it was wonderful. Now with that said I can tell you that we ordered the calamari appetizer booze food and it feels like it was packaged calamari and I was very unimpressed with it. However when I had the clam chowder I enjoyed that very much. I'll make much better by very efficient service and that was always wonderful to see and made for a better experience

Always a great time at Turks. No complaints. Think bidenomics hit a little though

Very reasonable priced, this place is not just for tourist but also for locals. Interior has lots of characters, I don't know American stars/ artists well so I don't know if they are famous. Just found the posters and pictures pretty cool! Staff are very nice and helpful. They will have a casual conversation with you at the bar. Didn't try the food so cannot comment on food but drinks are great!

Great location. Decor is very cool. Absolutely loved the fish and chips, and also the fried zucchini. The portions are HUGE. However... the beer glasses were tiny.

Love coming here , the atmosphere is fantastic but definitely do suggest to do better for the sampler platter for the appetizers , we got nothing but loads of French fries , few dried up chicken strips and few fried zucchini chunks for $18 , sampler should be a plate full of almost everything on the appetizer menu. ❤️❤️😊

I had the counrty fried steak. It kinda had a fish batter taste, but that’s to be expected I guess at a boat dock that makes fish. Overall breakfast was good. The sever was great.

Busy place on Labor Day. Inside and outside seating. The fish and chips were delicious and big serving. The BBQ Salmon special could have had a bigger piece of salmon. It was good though. Their tartar type sauce for fish was good as was their potato salad. Good iced tea as well.
