The food was absolutely delicious... the ambiance was the same. It was nice to be somewhere that they really value a great experience, I never felt rushed or forgotten, which happens often as I travel, I usually eat alone. I had the calamari, and the pizza was perfect, and I've lived in Italy, and it rivaled my favorites there. My dessert was out of this world. Seems simple being cream and berries, but the cream was positively sinful, SO rich and creamy. My bartender, Kyril, said the chef is the best. I believe it. They seemed to be closing up, and he made me feel like I had all of the time I'm the world. Being a former bartender and server, I kept trying to offer to pay the bill so he could cash out at least, but he wouldn't let me. Even offered tea when others probably wouldn't, so I accepted. Nothing but 5 stars from me! :)

Early dinner for our anniversary turned out great! Made reservations for outdoor seating.. though it was not busy when we arrived. Server and Manager were warm and courteous. Great service. Cocktails were done right. Coconut mojita, lemon drop, kings club. The walking fool blend was a great choice. House bread was a good assortment. Appetizers were smaller portions of calamari. Bruschetta was flavorful. Lamp chops was great and medium rare would be best. The salmon, trout and A la checa angel hair were good portions and done right..the choco chip creme brule and pana cotta were a great choice of dessert. Place can get a makeover..recommended ..

Phenomenal evening at Jack’s Restaurant. We enjoyed the Caesar Salad, eggplant Parmigiana, Tomahawk Steak, Swordfish Special and crustless cheesecake served with fresh berries. Yum!!

Top notch Italian food, excellent service, pleasing atmosphere, not noisy. We had a really nice evening there. Great for a romantic date or group of friends or family. Menu was 99% Italian, not “California fare” as Google has in description.

Fresh food and great service. We had the mussels, egg plant parmesan, and the fried artichokes and everything was good tasting and fresh! When we walked in I thought the service staff was going to be cold and not caring but I was wrong. Great service! For Happy Hour or anytime go, just go!

Our go to restaurant in Dana Point recently closed and I had a hard time thinking of a good substitute for a six party birthday dinner on a Friday before memorial day. I remembered a nice meal about 30 years ago at Jack’s so I decided to book our party there. I’m glad we did. It was excellent. The atmosphere was very nice, organized and inviting. There was enough space between tables, and the sound was very manageable. The crowd, casual and polite locals. The service was good and the food even better. Everything I saw served looked good and my seafood pasta was excellent. The desserts were also excellent. They appeared to have been made in-house. Finally, I thought the dishes were reasonably priced. Portions were larger than I expected. All good quality ingredients carefully prepared. I think we have a new favorite restaurant in Dana Point.

Totally delicious! Full flavors - filet, veal, special pastas, super fresh cooked perfectly- so tender. Service professional, attentive, knowledgeable & friendly. Thank you Jack's for a wonderful meal.

Top notch Italian food, excellent service, pleasing ambience, not noisy. We had a lovely evening there. Not sure why Google description says “California fare”. Yes, it’s in California 🙄, but the menu was 99% Italian.

The off menu specials are made with care but the regular food options off the menu are just fine. Veal oso bocco and lobster ravioli were delicious, pizza and linguine marichiare 95% of the way there but the pizza was under salted and the pasta sauce was a little runny. Service and drinks were good!

Delicious food and great service! The complementary bread is nice! We got the Jacks salad, bruschetta app. and ravioli Magro. They were all very good. My only issue was they gave me the wrong food at first. Would definitely go here again!

Brought my girlfriend for her birthday and it was very refreshing to see such a variety of items on the menu. She is plant based and I am not so much so it’s really cool to be able to go to a spot for both of us to enjoy meals. The service and food are fantastic and it’s such an enjoyable ambiance. Strongly recommend reserving a table online as I heard the wait time was approx. 40 min when we arrived without a reservation.

Staff is amazing -Ricardo mgr is on it. Jack greets customers Menu and wine list has been updated and specials are added during the week. One of the great locales restaurants!!!

Had such a lovely dinner here on two separate occasions. The gnocchi is absolutely incredible. The ravioli detectible. The eggplant parmesan was one of the best I've ever had. Wonderful service with friendly staff.

Jack's is a really nice find. A good special occassion place but not presumptuous. I found the staff to be very professional. I had the veal piccata and it was excellent. Eggplant parmesan appetizer was very nice. My wife had a margarita before dinner that she said need a little work. Our guests loved Jack's and we have recommended it to our family.

Service was wonderful! Shrimp was overcooked in the pasta but the medallions made up for it! It was cooked perfectly and deliciously tender. The limoncello dessert was so amazing! The potato croquettes were scrumptious and the lobster ravioli was rich in flavor.
