I first came to El Torito Dana Point last November, for Thanksgiving Dinner.
That was a BLAST. The food and service were so good, and the vibe was so chill n fun, we HAD to return*.
We came by for Taco Tuesday, and the Sunset View. While we didn't partake of what appeared to be a Taco BUFFET BAR...
We did enjoy the Premeir Patrón Cadillac Margarita and a Mezcal Watermelon Margarita to go with our complimentary chips n salsa.
The bacon wrapped shrimp were so good; EXCELLENT, in fact.
I dug into the MACHO COMBO, and she had the Shrimp Enchiladas.
Though I am STILL on a diet *(no sweets or desserts until October 1st) she also partook of the Mudpie Ice Cream Cake.
I love it here, truly. And NOT just because I now receive a 25% Discount as an XRG Company Member *(I bartend at Las Brisas, Laguna Beach) but because I always feel like both Family, and Royalty every time I walk in.
Oh yeah, I find the prices here exceptionally reasonable.

This was Thanksgiving day everything was excellent 👍. Even though I. Can't remember the name of the waiter everyone that served us wAs great 😃👍
Nice Mexican restaurant next to pier at Dana point.
Ordered the family style fajita set- with steak, chicken, barbacoa, and grilled shrimp. Ordered two family sets and easily fed all 8 of us.
It's a nice location with the view of the Dana Point Harbor. Food is great, although the service is not as nice. We really loved the Dessert.

Great location and a good lunch menu. There was a good selection of lunch items and many items were large portions. Enjoyed the lunch combo with the tamale and a chicken taco. Everything was hot - so happy about that. The taco fell apart when picked up but still tasty. The tamale didn’t have that much chicken but the flavor was good. Make sure to check before you eat - there was still some remaining foil from the wrapper. Chips and salsa were good but the view is what it’s all about. The service was great and the staff was very attentive. Will definitely come back. Lastly, they had one of the yummiest flan I’ve had in a while.
Happy hour is the way to go. And this location is the absolute best. Great views in the evening.
Julian was wonderful! The service, the food, and the bottomless mimosas make this a perfect place for brunch on the weekend. Add the view of Dana Point Harbor and the ocean, and you really can't go wrong. The chips and salsa are excellent, the table side guacamole is delicious, and the food is flavorful and the portions are great. Plus, bottomless mimosas for $12?? You can't go wrong. Top it off with a beautiful dessert and a walk around the harbor, and you can call it a perfect outing. I came with my family for a birthday brunch and it was a fantastic experience. I highly recommend you check it out!

If you own a restaurant he's above and beyond the example of what a good waiter is.
This place rocks!!!! I have been to allot of restaurants at 5 star levels but wow the customer service was above and beyond. To me, El Torito brunch is nothing new. Sunday Brunch has always been top tier. Golden Corral could profit learning from them. El Torito is unique because the brunch is a hybrid of American and Spanish dishes. I wish we had more brunch style restaurants in Southern California. I use to love going there when I lived in the OC. But it’s random because came across it one week. Then I took my daughter the following week. And wow they did not disappoint. The service shows they care for their customers and I can only say that it’s worth every Nickle, cent, and dime to have the experience. I would say it is pricy but perfect for any occasion. Not to mention you have a view. In our case it was Dana Point Harbor. I can’t explain any further only that it is worth the experience. Taco bar is was awesome too.
I have been going to El Torito in Dana Point Harbor for years, and the experience never disappoints. The food is consistently great, especially the spicy table side guacamole, and the harbor views from a good table are always a treat. The friendly and accommodating staff, including the hostess and waiter, add to the overall excellent service. It's worth every penny, and I'll definitely be returning. The only draw back is it's old and may need a bit of an update. Regardless, five stars!
The service was outstanding as was the amazing view of the harbor. I’ve eaten here since 1988 and the service is even better today. The BEST salsa too! Thank you to Marcos (manager), the hostess Hailey and Hector (our server tonight). We’ll definitely return!
Have always had great memories from childhood. Great service and food.
Food is average at best, however the service we received from Enrique and Damaris was outstanding. They both are quick an efficient. The best service we received at this location in a long time.
First of all I really like El Torito's food, it's delicious! But this location is my favorite El Torito restaurant because it's in the Dana Point Harbor. The restaurant has great views and you can go out for a walk after you eat.
I was there on Sunday, the food was delicious, the staff was friendly, and the service was outstanding.
Such good stinking food. The fajita meat was cooked to perfection. The burritos were extra tasty. Really great food and awesome place! Our server wasn't very happy but he did his job still hahah
Love El Torito but my 3 star is because the place is getting old and needs a fresh coat of paint or a power wash. It's clean but it's not. Don't know if this location will be closing with the remake of the Harbor which would explain not spending more money to update it.
