The Whole Package. This was our first visit to Wasabi and we had to wonder why we waited so long to try it. Everything was wonderful, from the food, service, décor, and location. My husband ordered the hibachi chicken and shrimp which came with grilled vegetables and a side salad. I had the Bento box with a side salad and teriyaki chicken. Our food was delicious and just the right portion (with one exception mentioned below). We had a great view of the pond from our booth by the window and the décor is lovely. They also offer patio seating. If I had a complaint, which is very minor, it would be the fruit that comes with the bento box - it was four tiny, and I mean tiny, pieces of watermelon. Since I love fruit, I was hoping for more variety and a bigger portion. We definitely look forward to our next visit.

The only part I can truly recommend is the happy hour food and drink specials. Other than that, there are better places to go for sushi and habachi.

Sushi Done Right, Everytime!. Be prepared for quality sushi prepared right with knowledgable staff and superb service. What I love about this place is the consistency of the product, which always uses top notch ingredients. Lunch is a true value and a good example is the bento box where for under 10 dollars you get a soup, salad, sushi roll, tempura vegetable, and a side of fruit. At dinner the menu expands with an endless variety of entrees and off menu requests limited only by your imagination. My favorite roll is the Red Dragon with its sweet taste of snow crab topped generously with spicy tuna.....mmmm so good! Kudos to DI Wasabi for delivering an exceptional experience and a delectable product every time.

Great!. My husband and I love this place! The sushi is some of the best I have had! I personally love the Blue Crab Handroll. There are a lot of sushi places that I love in the Charleston area, but Wasabi is on the top of my list!

Upscale Sushi. This is not the same Wasabi as downtown and summerville. Although I was initially disappointed about that and surprised about the prices...the sushi was actually very good. We started with the rock shrimp appetizer...which had an interesting sauce on it. Verdicts still out on that one. Clear soup contained shiitake mushrooms and a shrimp which helped compensate for the $4 price. We ate the blue crab roll, Lotus Flower and Buddah's roll. Lotus and Buddah's were a perfect complement to each other. Surprisingly I love the combination of the pear, cream cheese and basil in the Lotus. I was slightly disappointed with the blue crab roll. Portions were also very generous.

Amazing sushi and Ramen. The yellowtail collar was so good. Laid back atmosphere. It was our 2nd trip there and we will be back!

I wasn't sure if I was going to go out for dinner tonight or just make something in the house, but in reading the reviews and seeing how authentic the owner was and how she defended her restaurant and staff solidified my decision to pay this restaurant a visit. The service was impeccable. The food came out very quickly and the servers were very attentive. The dinner portion was huge and definitely worth the money. My only complaint is that my food came out warm, not hot, but it had tons of flavor to make up for it.

The Thai curry had the most delicious coconut milk sauce...just brilliant! The Bento box had several slices of tempura vegis, sweet pot, cauliflower, zucchini. The tempura shrimp were very small as well as a small serving. Everything was delicious and we'll be back.

Might just be the best sushi in the Charleston area and totally worth the trip to Daniel Island (they also have a MT. Pleasant location). Atmosphere is nice. Service is great. Food and drinks are spectacular. Completely fresh. The sushi roll combinations are interesting. The pad prik was really good... the steak was tender and the vegetables were perfectly cooked. We also ordered the udon noodles which were equally as delicious. I would definitely call before making a trip here just to make sure there isn’t an event happening at the stadium across the street. The restaurant can then be overcrowded and they sometimes offer a limited menu during concert/event nights. Oh and the outdoor music on the patio is a nice bonus!! This is really a great place.

Our server, Mary, was very helpful. She provided great service and recommended some of the best sushi I have ever had (even though she isn't the biggest fan of sushi). She made me feel like family and I will be back!

Wasabi is my go to place for lunch! I would go everyday if I could. The food is amazing and even if you don't like sushi there are many options to chose from. The prices are affordable and the atmosphere is very calm and inviting. I have been going to Wasabi for over 10 years and always bring my friends and family with me. They all love it too, there is nothing negative to say about the Wasabi experience! I cant eat sushi anywhere else, because I am spoiled by them!

Great go-to spot whenever we come in from GA: Started the with edamame and calamari. The edamame was soft and stuffed which gave it twist. The calamari with a touch of spice is some the most tender I've tried. Finished the meal of with the light lemony Papaya Himachi that was also mildly spicy and the Seabass Sailyoyaki. The papay sushi roll was surprisingly tasty. The Seabass was slightly overcooked for my taste. But the flavor helped to overlook that.

Better than expected! I would recommend going for lunch as their dinner menu is much more expensive for basically the same food maybe a little more. Food was great, staff was friendly. Place has always been clean. Great meal and atmosphere on DI.
