Portillo's is in a comfortable food courtyard serving hot dogs and French fries. I though the Chicago Dog with everything on it would be one of a kind, but it was basically an everyday hot dog with peppers, onions, and tomato. While tasty, I will not remember Chicago for this ordinary lunch.

Food was terrific! We went for lunch and had just sushi. We were in and out quickly which we needed! The rolls were very good and had a great flavor! I would go back!
Servers and Food. I totally understand why people were unhappy with the servers. They are cold, distant and clearly do not believe the whole "customer is always right" bit. I have been to this place over 100 times (not exaggerating, I love their lunch menu and have summers off lol). It wasn't until after visit 35-40 that ANY of the servers recognized me!
With that being said, it is some of the best sushi I have ever had. It has, admittedly, turned me into a sushi snob and now there are only a handful of places where I will eat it because I am used to their high quality.
Would return. Service and food were both excellent. Atmosphere good, especially for a shopping center restaurant. Prices are decent.
We love this place for sushi takeout. If you are dining in do the hibachi, sushi can take forever. Last time there I ordered the sashimi combo bit didn't get my whole order until others in my party had finished their hibachi meal!!!
I don't know why the others had issues with the service, our waitresses were great! Our food was divine! I plan on going back many times!

Always love the beef teriyaki. We don't get hibachi, just regular table service. The tempura is very good. Don't eat seafood so don't know if their sushi is good.
I have always loved aodake since I was a kid to now. favorite hibachi restaurant with good food and great prices. servers their are super nice and lunch gives you great prices for the amount of food! definitely a great place to check out
Great place to go with a small group. I have been here a few times with coworkers and love the atmosphere. The hibachi chefs are always fun and nice. The remaining staff is polite, respectful, and efficient at their jobs (not rude, just quiet). I always forget to take pics of the hibachi because it's so good that it's gone before I remember. Their sushi is one of the best ones I've had in the area. Managed to get a few pictures in today before gobbling it down. Currently everyone on staff is wearing both a mask and face shield. This is definitely one of my favorite hibachi and sushi places in the area.
Absolutely delicious. The waitress was friendly and fast. The hibachi chef was hilarious and talented. He made sure to interact with everyone and really put on a fun show. Highly recommend for a nice, fast lunch date or family dinner. There is a Groupon and Local Flavor for $15 for $30 (dinner only) but you can go during lunch and just order the dinner portion. The atmosphere and decor is a little quirky but overall the restaurant is clean and inviting.

Unbelievable service and hospitality. Jason is just the best. Super friendly and even made a balloon animal for my daughter. Chef was awesome and food was perfect.
Family and I have been coming to this location for years. It is a very friendly and comforting environment with the quality of food that makes you love coming back. Price is about the same as most hibachis, slightly cheaper.
We went for a birthday after the hibachi close to our home did not have tables available and we ended up loving it ! We were a big group and the hibachi chef kept us laughing and entertained the whole time. Waiter was constantly checking in on us and the food was great - better than the usual hibachi we go to! I

If you are looking for a budget hibachi place this is for you. The food was great and so was the service. The hibachi chef was very nice but wasn't the best show but for the price I can't complain. Will definitely go back and try the sushi
