My gps on the IPhone made the mistake of taking me to the old address of Babba Grill and I was going to search for something else. I decided to check their fb page to see if they had any updates. They merged with Broosters and are located at 1010 Plainfield Road. The parking lot is the only bad thing, it’s small and cramped. They need to redo the parking lot design so it has more space. We were immediately greeted when we walked in the door. The staff is very friendly. Very authentic Macedonian food. Prices are fair. I had a feeling that we would have huge portions after eating at another Balkan restaurant in Brookfield, you can never go hungry. We ordered the Babba speciality pizza and sharska burger with mashed potatoes. The Babba speciality pizza comes with diced fresh pork, smoked pork, bacon, and eggs. 5/5. Crust was thin and a little chewy. Meats were perfectly made. The sharska burger has the burger stuffed with provolone cheese. Burger was also moist and melted in your mouth. Bun was freshly made not store bought. 5/5. I highly recommend these two items if you’ve never been here before or if you were ever skeptical.
They deserve more than 5 stars.

If you LOVE grilled chicken like me this is the absolute BEST place to eat!! It's a very laid-back atmosphere where the focus is on food and customer service. I've eaten in the restaurant and ordered through Door Dash multiple times. It's always delish and made with love!! This family run restaurant takes pride in what they do. They also make sure that each guest feels valued and appreciated for spending their hard earned money at Broosters. I HIGHLY recommend giving them a try!! You won't be disappointed!!
I literally looked up "grilled chicken" and this place absolutely delivered.
Bought a family pack of grilled chicken (2 chickens disassembled) with 3 sides and 8 pieces of garlic toast. Also comes with a cup of marinara sauce for dipping.
I got the marinara zucchini, broccoli rice, and Cole slaw.
The sides are very basic, but they're cooked just right.
The grilled chicken was phenomenal.
However I retract one star because the toast had a bit of freezer burnt taste.
The chicken was really damn good though. One of the few places I can find that satisfies my dieting goals.
The guy running the register is a Romanian guy and he's very friendly. Service was great.
He seems like he really likes working there.
One of the few times I've ever given a tip even though I didn't receive any waiter / server service.
Atmosphere is just your average restaurant. Clean with tables and chairs.
Nothing stands out, but it's very clean.
Great place to get a delicious and affordable shawarma. The chicken shawarma is delicious, juicy, and well-seasoned. The restaurant is nicely decorated and the staff is friendly and helpful. Prices are affordable, too. The only downside is that the restaurant can get quite busy during peak hours. All in all, it is a great spot for a quick and tasty shawarma meal.
Best Balkan burgers in the Chicago area! Food is always tasty, staff is always friendly. They don't have a lot of seating capacity but it all makes up in quality. Definitely check it out
I met the new owner, Alex. He has great plans to make things even better along with the prices. In the past, chicken tended to be on the dry side, but not this time! The chicken was so juicy, delicious, and succulent. Absolutely a wonderful experience, and all the food was excellent. I will be back, I think Alex is going to do great! Thank you for a delicious meal. 😋
The staff is very friendly.. the food is so fresh especially the bread! The chicken was tender and full of flavor. You should definitely try this place!
Incredible Macedonian food, great service, very reasonable prices. I ordered the Triple B burger as well as Kebapi. Burger was ridiculously great tasting as well as filling. Quality meat and ingredients. Kinda upset I didn’t know about Babba Grill when I lived around here. Will definitely come back any time I’m in Darien again.
We came on the recommendation of a friend👍 We we're smitten from the moment we pulled into the parking lot. Super inviting inside and out. 6 small tables interspersed with Macedonian cultural trinkets. Lovely lady greeted us and told us about some of the menu items. Food did not disappoint. Ordered 2 of their #1 listed Macedonian burgers and fries. They were huge (100% Angus beef) hot, fresh and tasty. We will return! Thanks

The food here was excellent. A little pricey, but when the service and food are top notch, you don’t mind so much. I will be back.
Can’t believe that I finally found a place that makes romanian style authentic shawarma! Their garlic sauce it is the bomb and the chicken is so flavourful! A must try!
They also have a variety of bottled sodas, beer or sangria that perfectly complements their dishes.
This is mine and my husbands go to place in the area. Food is so great, so fresh and the service is awesome. Highly recommend
The best European Shawarma I’ve ever ate!! The garlic sauce is delicious!! If you miss the Romanian Shawarma, you have to go at Brooster!!! 10000% recommended
