Went on a recommendation since I live down the street. Can’t believe I haven’t been here before. Great food, great value, really well made. Staff super to interact with!
Great local spot - the atmosphere and food will not disappoint! Hard to come by a “real” place like this in the area…
Just got in from a wonderful, stress free evening. We dined with our two small boys and we’re a bit nervous about it.
Rory’s was excellent, they made a great recommendation for an app, and brought out the broccoli before the French fries…which is a real win. We already ate our veggies and I could let them indulge a bit on some crispy fries afterwards. They were accommodating with two kids and anticipated our needs!
Food was fresh and beer was cold. It was a delightful atmosphere and I feel refreshed going into the work week.
Will definitely be back, cheers!
I love the whole menu and the prices are fair. Soups, salads, sandwiches, burgers, fish... it's the ultimate little neighborhood place. The daily specials are reliably great. The staff is wonderful. Two thumbs up
I have been going here for years and never have gotten around to writing a review. Fantastic New England clam chowder and lobster bisque for soups. Really good appetitzers ( I especially liked the Buffalo wings, mussels, and crab cakes). Really great burgers, steak, fish, sandwiches and salads. For dessert my favorite is their apple crisp. Very nice waitresses who I think have been there a long time. Everybody seems so cordial, content, laid back etc. while enjoying their food, their drinks, and the tv if they are in the bar. Small outdoor dining area during warmer weather also.
The food is so delicious, tune tartare, fish and chips, the skirt steak, we love this restaurant. Rory is cozy, the service is great and Wall Street Tavern at Norwalk also from the same owner has the best oven pizza.
We stopped into Rory’s for dinner and were immediately surprised how much larger this cozy restaurant and bar feels once inside.
The bar is well appointed with mainly maritime themed decor and has a warm and friendly feel. The dining section seats about 32-36 hungry patrons.
We had to choose from several intriguing menu options plus the nightly specials. The grilled fish was as beautiful as it was tasty! The pastry filled with seasoned ground beef had a subtle spiced influence of middle eastern origin. The broth seemed a bit light for dipping the flavorful pastry, but altogether a rewarding choice.
The dessert 🍨 list included many favorites and the daily specials included profiteroles... yummy too! our server, Layli, was warm, friendly & managed to keep the plates spinning quite well! We’ll be back to explore what they offer here at Rory’s!
