Voted one of the best local bars in CT. One of the few remaining hometown bars that really treats you as a welcome guest. You can relax by yourself, or strike up a conversation with one of the "regulars". You always feel welcome when you walk in.the door (and the bar staff is very easy on the eyes!) Just leave the pretentious attitude behind! (Darien Jim).. You could be sitting next to a celebrity or maybe one of the captains of industry that live in the area. you never know who will walk in! You can order food from Backstreet restaurant (great food) or walk over to the new Goose (beautiful place) or check out the scene at 1020 restaurant. Ernie's has been a great place to meet up and find out what's going on around town for decades!
Ernie's .. What can you say.... The local hole in the wall hangout when dad gets off the train, that's what I remember growing up, now I'm just afraid to go inside ... but it is the local spot to go to...to be or not to be.
Great neighborhood bar. Drinks were ample... 😎
Total dive bar. Sacha, the bartender, was very friendly, as were the other patrons. There was a real neighborhood bar vibe.
Always an enjoyable place to go to full of regulars and nubees always a treat . . . . I "beleive" Paul Simon wrote a song about it "Still crazy after all these years" lol
A great place to have a drink.
Local watering hole, gets packed with 20 something’s during major holiday weekends.
Lots of fun. Great karaoke!
