First time come here and I was so pleased. Everything was literally amazing. As a very picky eater and also a Vietnamese, it was so hard for me and my family to find good authentic Vietnamese food places in Iowa or even in Chicago( cuz we go there a lot) . I have tried so many Vietnamese restaurants and let me tell you what, this is definitely the place I would vote for the best one in Iowa. And also one thing I gotta say, the staffs here were a big plus on top of everything because of how friendly they were. It was an hour drive for us to get there but it was absolutely worth the drive. Can’t wait for the next time there already! Keep it up guys! Xoxo

There is no possible way to give this place anything lower then 5 stars. The food was fresh authentic delicious and for the price a great value. The chicken wings in fish sauce are worth it for the meal alone.

First off I would like to say that the aroma that met me at the door was nothing less than heavenly. Grilled steak, onions, and lemongrass wafted through the air like sugar plum faeries on Christmas eve. The proprietor was a wonderful and welcoming gentleman, who hearkened me back to olden days when a business was much more than a means of income but also an extension of oneself. He sat us down at a booth, it was comfortable, and there was a fun array of sauces and utensils to explore. I opened the menu. That menu. There were so many options that I almost got lost. each option sounded so much more delicious than the last. I had an anchor though. My intention today was pho. The owner recommended we order an appetizer, so we shared an order of 5 plump and delicious dumplings as we traversed the massive menu. I settled on the number 53. Pho with rare filet mignon. We put in our order and had a moment, and I mean a moment, our food was out to us within minutes, to look around the shop. It was very clean, simple, and inviting. I felt very comfortable and watching the owner flit from table to table greeting guests and making small talk, made the restaurant feel homey and warm. After my moment of exploration a waiter emerged from the kitchen to bring us our bowls, and those bowls, that bowl was literally the size of my head. I knew in that moment that there was no way that I could consume that much pho, but I was up for the challenge. The waiter set down my bowl, and inside was a wondrous ballet of broth and ingredients. The green onions and cilantro danced on the surface of the clear amber liquid. Noodles and beef poked through the surface from the depths of their monstrous pool. I went in for the kill. I literally almost cried. The flavors danced around my mouth, first the broth, rich and full, then the crisp bite of cilantro and basil. It tasted so fresh. So complex. It was a thing of beauty. I am in love. The bowl was an amazing value at just under $10. My significant other and I have now made plans To come back every couple of weeks to this restaurant and try something new every time. I was extremely pleasantly surprised and have definitely found a gem in the quad cities. By the way I totally failed the pho challenge and took a little over half if it home. So $10 for what ended up being 2 meals. Absolutely fantastic. I am hooked. California pho I will be back.

Love this place, great service, great food, friendly people. You know when the owner comes out to chat its a good place to be. Spring rolls and seafood pho is my favorite. Great place to take large groups of people and have a fun dinner. It would be a shame if they ever closed. Keep up the awesome cooking.

The food was amazing! It brought me right back to Asia. The dumplings were steamed to perfection the sauce is just the right blend of sweet and salty. Delicious doesn't even cover it. The red curry was creamy and had the perfect heat to it. The beef with noodles had so much delicious flavor. Everything had more food than I expected for the price. Very friendly staff. Wonderful service.

This is my favorite place to eat, everything has been good so far! I almost ALWAYS get the pho with rare steak and add a little of the chilli oil and a tiny bit of hoisen sauce and it is sooooo good. Sometimes I eat a large pho because it's so good I can't stop. The lemongrass stir fry is SO good too! I also really love their crab Rangoon, the filling is amazing. Their Vietnamese coffee is so good too, but I rarely get it at supper time....sometimes I still do!

Got crab rangoons, spring rolls and pho with steak and crispy beef. It was awesome. Portions are great, I was taking home leftovers. The owner is very friendly and chatted us up, you can tell his heart is in the place. Also, the crab rangoons deserve their own paragraph. A little crispier than I'm used to but the filling is so...damn...good. Get them. Get 100 of them.

This place is awesome. Been there a few times. The first time my husband and I went, we had never eaten Pho before. The owner could see that we had no idea what we were doing. So he came over and helped us, made suggests. Super nice, talkative. Best serves I've had in a long time and the food is delicious. This was an easy 5 star rating.

We had a delicious lunch here, the staff was so friendly, our food came very quickly and was such a delight. It can be hard to find a restaurant to satisfy both vegetarian and non-vegetarians alike. The vegetable pho was amazing! Avocado spring rolls as well. Definitely will return.

We dined at California Pho for the first time last week and we’ve already been back! This is such a unique restaurant to have in the Quad Cities and I’m glad it’s just a few minutes from our house. The crab rangoons are the best I’ve ever had. Our family tried everything from the pho, to the banh mi, to the buttered quail, and it was all delicious. We will definitely be back again!

First time encounter with Pho, and all I can say is that it was a bowl of happiness the size of my head. Clean, friendly atmosphere, the staff was accommodating but not smothering or rushed, and ALL of the ingredients were fresh. Even the steamed dumpling appetizer. My girlfriend literally almost cried when she tried the Pho, she is not one that tears up. Their menu was extensive with so many options to choose from that I feel obligated to return in order to experience even more wonderfulness. 5 stars does not do justice to this establishment, I would give it 10 if I could

Impressed with the quality of food! The spring rolls are killer, and the crab rangoons were top notch. Bridget was totally into the crab rangoons. The Pho was so good, and we did an iced coffee and the owners wife made the yogurt! W3 will be back for sure.

The best Pho in town, and I tried them all. The broth is sooo savory, the meats cooked to perfection, they even make their chili paste from scratch! Highly recommended for any Pho snobs like myself, you will not leave disappointed or hungry after their large bowl!

Owners and service are very nice and friendly. Food is delicious and some of the best Vietnamese food and milk tea I’ve ever had. I recommend the beef Banh Mi if you want a lighter lunch that will still fill you up.
