Our new favorite! Found this place a few months ago and now it's now our every Saturday night dinner spot. Everything on the menu is excellent and the staff is outstanding!

It was our first visit. I had the trio and my daughter had spaghetti and meatballs. Both entrees were delicious. Love the garlic bread knots too. Cold if you sit close to the door though. Lovely quaint restaurant.

Can't say I have ever had a bad meal here. Italian dishes all taste fantastic, and authentic. Pizza is one of the best in Dayton. It's easy to miss while passing by, but not to forget!

Wow. The best kept secret in Kettering. Sausage pizza is the best I've had since my New York days. Subs are killer and worth twice the price. Dinner menu is extensive and quite excellent. Prices make this restaurant the deal of century. If you're looking for great atmosphere, this place may not be for you. If you want killer food at a great value, try it out. I think you'll be quite happy.

9 for lunch. Garlic knots arrived hot fresh and tasty (free of charge). Made to order pizzas were fresh, hot and in the case of the bruschetta pizza sprinkled with fresh basil. Pre-made pizza for the lunch special was marginal being over cooked, so get a fresh made pie. Lunch spaghetti looked and smelled great with the eater proclaiming it good with fresh sauce. Spinach roll/Stromboli also good. I'm from NJ and would say the pizza was not NY pizza but rather NY-style (3 of 5 star) but I'll try the place again for other dishes. The rest of the group rated 4 of 5 stars.

NY pizza, great!. Love their NY pizza and I am from NY! The guy has great crust and sauce. At times, their service can be a bit touch and go. Of late, it has improved. The garlic knots are the bomb! Their chicken parm is good too.

Good Authentic NY Pizza. Please help. I need an intervention. I can't stop ordering Troni's standard pepperoni pizza. Each time I say it will be the last, but within a few days my hands start to tremble, the numbers 643-9921 appear before my eyes. Save yourselves! The best pepperoni pizza in Dayton is Dangerous! and highly addictive. If you know any pizza addict support groups, please send me their number or else I'm doomed. add the anti-pasto salad. it''s amazing

Top in Dayton. This place is a hidden jewel in Dayton. You have to try it. I have tried almost everything on the menu and it is all good! I dont get where the guy saying it is all frozen dinners comes from because the kitchen is wide open and you can see them prepare your food. Whatever, sour grapes? Form your own opinion...GO

I can not comment on speed of servoce considering we where the only ones there. Seems to be authentic italian food. Chicken dishes where all about 14 dollars and up. Pizzas are less. They have new york style pizza. We opted for sicilian. Overall good product. A bit on the salty side. Otherwise we enjoyed ourselves.

TRONI'S PIZZA. We had Troni's for the first time during the power outage when we had the recent ice storm. My boyfriend is originally from New York and has been trying for years to find a real New York pizza and we found it at Troni's! We love it!!!!!!!!!!!

Favoloso!. So a guy at works tells us about Troni's. He is from Queens, NYC originally. I am telling him that my hubby, who lived in NJ for 20 years, if frustrated that he can't get decent Italian or pizza in the area. All you can get is "Dayton Italian". (I don't know what that means and I like our Italian, but I am Dayton born-and bred so what do I know?) So the Guy from Queens nods his head confidently and says: "Troni's. Try Troni's." So we do. And we have at least once a week since Guy from Queens turned us on to it. (And may I point out we live 22 miles from Troni's!) I am not a pizza person. Don't really like it, will eat as a social thing. So first visit, hubby and son order bruschetta pizza. Big pie arrives gleaming with melted cheese and jewel-like bits of green basil and red tomato. And the smell---OMg, the AROMA! So I say, okay, I'll have one bite. So then I end up eating a third of the pie and totally annoying the guys. Absolutely one of the best things to meet my tastebuds in years! Usually on a first visit to Italian, I get eggplant parmesan because something so basic is a pretty good standard for the place is up to. At Troni's, I got the epplant rollatini. I could roll around and DIE in their eggplant rollatini and do it with a smile. It's that good. Don't love the side of spaghetti and sauce, but that's so peripheral to the entree, who cares, I only eat a bite of it or two anyway. Husband's been working his way thru the menu and always leaves with a smile. Could be the garlic knots. He's all about the garlic knots. They come to the table all hot and greasy and thick with garlic and cheese. I have to fend him off with a fork so he doesn't eat my share. (Don't worry, they are only shallow wounds.) I am usually an adventurous eater, but I have trouble NOT ordering the rollitini, but the times I have strayed to the specials, I have been consistently pleased. The Tuscan Sauce on the lobster ravioli is delish. Guy from Queens says the Seafood Combination is to die for, haven't got there yet. Salads are unimaginative---some iceberg, a slice of cuke and a bit of tomato, but always fresh and the house dressing is good, though I do not think house-made. They also don't make their own desserts, but the 16 year old loves the chocolate chip cannoli. I am too full for dessert. And regardless of what we order, we always end up taking a bruschetta pie home for leftovers. Heats up nice. Place is crowded around 6 pm, but if you hold off until 7 pm or later, you can sit right down. One of the perks of Kettering being an aging population---they eat early! Troni's rocks!

Wow, this mom an pop restaurant serves some of the best pizza I have ever had!! It is a New York style pizza. You know the kind that you pick up and fold it like a "U". Our favorite is the plain cheese pizza and the Calzones are amazing as well. The guy making the pizzas looks like he has been doing it for 60 years and that he came over from Italy. Part of the adventure is finding this "hole in the wall" but when you do you will fall in love.

Expensive but worth it.. The food is a little pricey, but I thought their pizza's were very good. Decent ambiance in there as well, I enjoyed my dining experience here. The waiter we had seemed to know the menu very well and made some good recommendations to me and my party. Good stuff!

You’d be hard-pressed to locate Troni’s Pizza if you didn’t already know where to look, but this small Italian food and pizza spot near the busy Wilmington-Dorothy Lane intersection in Dayton’s Kettering suburb has attracted a loyal following, especially for its pizza. A small family-run business, Troni’s has an eclectic interior decoration and a pretty friendly staff that turns food orders around quickly. The food is simple, but there’s beauty in simplicity, and I’d give great credit to say that they do the simple recipes very well. Click to view slideshow. Troni’s has a great menu of a custom set of house-made items. Several options are seafood-based pastas, others of course are the take-out pizzas. I gave a try to the ever-favorite classic, the spaghetti. It’s a simple and pleasant take on the dish, the tomato sauce is fruity and sweet, it’s got a heavy burst of tomatoes with a very forward taste, and accompanying
