This place to eat is good for people on an anniversary or prom date, the atmosphere is lovely, very upscale, the food is good but they need to have more choices on the menu rather then steaks, I had a club sandwich which was very good. I feel like a person needs to dress up to eat here and it is for special occasions
Always a great meal. Service has almost been flawless. This should be the model for area restaurants. Always ready to go to j. Alexander's .
I used to go all of the time then they got ride of my favorite chicken dish. Have not found a favorite dish since. Food is good but it is typical chain food tasting to me. The interior is very comfortable and would definitely bring a colleague here for dinner or to entertain people from our of town but I prefer sticking with local places that have the same price point. Service is always great and they have a good selection of wines and top shelf liquor.
Good prime rib available every night.. Surprisingly good service for a commercial establishment of this size. Food is consistently good.
Ok, not great. Food was great! Service is not the same. It took 20 minutes to get an additional drink. Plates were left on the table.
It was soooo good. My steak was the best I've ever had. Baked potato and mac and cheese were wonderful. The carrot cake was divine. Nice atmosphere and great service.
Hands down my favorite restaurant. This has been my favorite restaurant for well over a decade. As other people have said, it's the best prime rib in town. It's the best prime rib I've ever had, and I eat a lot of prime rib! I also adore their fries, they are shoe-string style (my fav) and come out in a heaping pile - which is just the way french fries ought to be served! They also have the best salad I've ever had, don't miss their honey mustard dressing. I am also a big fan of the Mr Jack crispy chicken strips as well as the rattlesnake pasta (with extra spice on the side!). My father likes to come here and order from their sandwich menu and get their orzo as a side (he claims it's to die for and I would never figure my father to be an orzo type of person) so it's nice for him to eat something healthy for a change. Everyone in my family knows if they ask me where I want to eat this will be my answer. My best friend and I don't even bother discussing where to have our girl's lunches at, this is our go-to spot and hopefully always will be! It is nothing like your typical chain (and I have dined in the one in Cinci and didn't think it was nearly as good). You will never leave hungry or disappointed.
Savor the experience!. Fantastic food and service - can't say enough good about this place. It may be a chain, but they do it right for a continuously packed house. The prime rib is the best in the greater Dayton area. Get there early, or wade through a sea of people to get seated. This is not a place you want to be in a hurry to get in and out of - savor the experience!
Excellent food , fantastic service, but save room for dessert!. Best. Carrot. Cake. Ever.
Knocks the socks off of Flemings' carrot cake.
Worst. Website. EVER.. Seriously, why doesn't this place get it through its thick skull that one visits one's website TO LOOK AT THE FREAKING *MENU*? So why would they choose not to include *any* menus on their corporate website? Oh, yeah. I forgot, it's an evil chain.
Prime rib.. I don't even bother ordering Prime Rib any where else.
Awesome!
Chicken pasta soup SO good!
Ridiculous prime rib. Enough said
