Central Perc is my favorite place in Dayton, and the place I miss most now I have moved to Raleigh. I have drunk a lot of tea and coffee there with dear friends and eaten the best pastries anywhere. Rose is truly a great pastry chef, and her soup is the best I know of, too. And the atmosphere is delightful. I miss it!

An absolute gem!! When I want a little 'me' time, or when I'm looking for somewhere to head on a girl's day out, this place is my go to!!! For an indulgent (and filling!) treat, get the afternoon tea!!! I also love their carrot soup, and all the sandwiches they offer... And every dessert and scone I've had has been amazing. The lovely couple that owns the place REALLY know what they are doing. Things to note: take cash for payment. Also, it's a small place... You may wait a few to be seated... But it's worth it!!

One of my favorite places in Oakwood! Great food and great people. From amazing baked goods (the scones, Victoria sponge, and meringues are to die for), yummy sandwiches, great soups, a hot pot of tear, or a cup of coffee... you can't go wrong here. I feel very lucky to have this wonderful place right up the street from my home.

The staff was friendly and the owner (I assume that's who took my order) was nice enough to allow me to pay my bill when I get cash. I did not realize until I placed my order that it was cash or check only and he allowed to pay later with cash. I understand that not every business can do this but his kindness allowed me to have lunch and dinner at work tonight. I've only tried some of my food but so far so great. The cin Lizzy latte is excellent!

I love the authenticity of this charming shop! My mom and I visited for the first time yesterday and the food and service were delightful. After we finished our yummy lunch and dessert, we continued to drool over the the high tea platters. We’ll definitely be back for high tea!

I guess it is about time I put in my two cents worth here as well as through word of mouth. I love Central Perc. Rosie and Mike have done a wonderful job with the Cafe. Love the food and the atmosphere! After being spoiled by living near Betty's of Harrogate in the UK, this is the only place I go for High Tea in the Dayton area but they also do a marvelous job on a nice lunch or tasty cuppa too.

I'm from Pittsburgh Pa and I had the pleasure of visiting this shop a few years ago while I was in Dayton, Ohio visiting my best friend and her family. I fell in love with everything about this place! The service is great! Very friendly staff! The food and tea are INCREDIBLE! I enjoyed everything I tried! Everything was fresh and just baked, etc! I simply cannot wait to go back there again one day! Keep up the good work and don't change a thing! This place is a hidden gem!

Michael and Rosie have brought to Oakwood a wonderful cafe which emulates those you would visit in Europe. All the baked goods are fabulous. I love the scones and my wife loves the custard pie. Many choices of coffee and tea can be chosen from. We particularly love the Black and Blue tea and the Highlander Grogg coffee. Every time we walk in, Michael greets me with a smile, a warm coffee cup and asks if we'd like the regular order. Best place for a husband and wife to spend time together.

Found this place purely by chance today, was driving by, saw umbrellas, husband and I were hangry and stopped. Had only mentioned scones (real scones) earlier today to husband so it was like divine fate that led us to here. Sat at a back table and sniveled like a toddler with happiness - pure tears of joy. Service = great. Atmosphere = great. Sandwich = great. Scones = bloody wonderful!!!! And you are located only a few minutes from our home so yeah, I'm a very happy expat and will frequent often to satisfy my scone habit. Thank you!!!

Coffee shops and smoothie stations have popped up around it in the time since then, and you could still drive right by this little shop without seeing it unless you knew exactly where to look.

Had a lovely lunch today. The chicken salad was delicious and I highly recommend letting Mike surprise you a hot tea if your not sure which you prefer.

Love it!. Love, love, love this place. Real tea in real cups and saucers, just like it's supposed to be. I had afternoon tea here and was really impressed with the whole experience, reminded me of being back in England. The scones are fantastic so make sure you save room!

Local, authentic. If you are looking for a place screaming "I'm European!! Look at all my cliche European things!!!" this place will not impress you. In fact, it really doesn't scream at all. It is very quaint, very local feel. But it IS authentic, absolutely. The scones are baked fresh in the morning and served with cream and jam and coffee is unlimited! and delicious (really, I work in coffee and still love theirs). The people that work there are so genuine it makes the experience wonderful.

I will say, on my first visit I thought I was in the wrong place because I was expecting a place with atmosphere, since I had heard so many good things about it. The place is quaint and small, but has a couple outdoor tables that are the best when it is nice out. I haven't sat inside or experienced official tea time there yet, but I will definitely be back.

Two thumbs way up from me!
