No trip to the south can happen without a stop to Waffle House.
Waffle House still has some of the best “diner” coffee I’ve ever had, as well as the best waffles.

This location in Daytona had friendly staff. I just wish everyone was masked up! Fortunately, our waitress was, she was super nice and wore a mask the entire time. I had seen photos of this location with acrylic barriers between booths, I think it's still a good idea and had hoped that they were still there, but as of this review, they are no longer there.
Also, the tables closest to the main street were closed off, this means less social distancing. Fortunately, I was able to snag a spot in a corner far away from the rest of the customers and staff who weren't masked up.
I think the thing I love the most about Waffle House is consistency and vibe. And those darn waffles.
Amazing staff, especially during a busy holiday weekend. Make sure to get your name on the list as you wait for a table to open up. The staff is absolutely fun, upbeat, and works exceptionally proficient together. Make sure to make a stop to enjoy the vibe.

Every one is familiar with Waffle House. It's decent food. Like most places they have suffered from the lack of people willing to work. But I must say the crew of three was the hardest working crew I've seen. I have to wonder though why the manager wasn't out front helping.
Susie was terrific, food was good and restaurant was clean. Also, it wasn't freezing in there like we've experienced in several other locations in the past year. (I usually want it cooler in public places.)
Anyway, I will definitely go back and ask for Susie.
Packed house but the staff was super friendly and efficient. We were seated pretty quickly and had great service from Susie. Food came quickly and eggs cooked to perfection!
