I would have given them a 5 even if the owner hadn’t given my buddy and I extra attention. He wasn’t offended at all when I told him I didn’t care for the Guinness because it was too bitter, suggesting that he could take the bitterness out, which he did. For people like me they add a little black current or cassis liquor to the pour. Outstanding, and the food was terrific too.
Great place to visit our bartender was awesome! I'd give this place 10 stars if I could great drinks and food!
What a great dinner on the best patio in Decatur!! Good food!!
One of my favorite spots in Decatur! The pub has convenient, free parking, a delicious, affordable menu, a friendly staff, a relaxed, pub atmosphere, and of course a great beer and wine selection!

Great place. I have been going to The Marley House for years, and always on Saint Patrick’s Day!

We had a fabulous dinner at The Marlay on New Year's Eve. The Brussel sprout salad was generous and tasty. The kitchen kindly split it for my husband and me. Salmon was cooked perfectly and I wondered why I had not eaten here before. Menu has more variety than a typical Irish pub. Yum, just ate my leftovers and enjoyed it all over again.
Best pub atmosphere in Decatur and probably Atlanta. Fiercely Irish, you won't ever find an English ale on tap here.
Really good food in comfortable environment. Really enjoy going here whenever in Decatur especially with grandchildren. The Shepherds pie is awesome!!
This has been one of our "go-to" places for years now. Chilled out atmosphere, great beer, and solid food menu. I'd go as far as to say I prefer their burger to the neighboring Farm Burger. Oh, and their patio is killer!
Our go to place when we want something good to eat. The variety on the menu makes it possible to satisfy different tastes. Thank you.
The hub and I lucked into a surprise date night so we wandered into Decatur for an early dinner. We decided on a more relaxed place, picked The Marley House, and were not disappointed. Friendly and efficient staff, delicious libations and incredible food.
And the prices were much lower than expected. Diverse crowd - millennials through Baby Boomers.
I will disclose that a friend of ours is a regular here and encouraged us to drop his name but we didn't need to. We received an excellent level of service and food without having to. We'll be back.
The beer selection is wonderful. Always friendly service. I love the veggie burgers--best in Atlanta. It's really great to sit on the patio in good weather and watch the people go by.
The food here is very traditional Irish. Service was great. We will definitely be back!!!
Good pub grub; good beer selection; expensive but they serve 20 oz pints
Go for the Chips or the TCB!!. Every time I go to the Marlay for a meal, I order the same thing. I love the turkey cranberry and brie sandwich!! It's amazing!! I highly recommend it, it's a light and fresh sandwich that is filling. When I am going for a drink with my friends I always order the chips. They are the best, dash some vinegar on them and you and your friends will look down moments later and wonder where all the chips went. Cheers!
Great atmosphere, food, and location. Make sure to put some salt n vinegar on the chips!
I had an excellent seasonal salmon dish with rice. The flavors were very well matched and balanced.
If you love fish and chips, or just have a slight curiosity from stories told by friends, you have to check out the Mobile Marlay food truck. I will go on record stating that they have the best fish and chips I have had in Atlanta…by far! For those that don't know, the Mobile Marlay is an extension of The Marlay House ( www.themarlayhouse.com ) which is a traditional Irish pub outside of Decatur, GA. Colin Comer and his family moved to GA straight from Ireland and wanted to bring a little slice Irish heritage to the lower 48. They received a lot of great accolades about their traditional Irish fare and decided to bring it to the rest of the city via truck; their timing could not have been better, as they rode the wave that was, and still is, the food truck explosion in Atlanta. They along with others will be on upcoming episodes of Food Network's & Cooking Channel's Eat Street later this March ( http://www.atlfoodsnob.com/?p=2649 )! Gotta love the old school truck with the cartoon gr
Great service and amazing brew selections are on tap. I've been comfortable using the upstairs patio during the pandemic. I look forward to visiting the bar [different brew selections] and take away store downstairs. We've enjoyed several menu items while working the taps. Will return after the solstice new year hiatus!
I ate at the bar and I really liked the service here. I came when it wasn't so busy and I liked the atmosphere. Ordered the veggie scampi and crusted tuna. Both really good, although portions could've been bigger. Would consider visiting again.
The food and atmosphere =on point! We got the meal quick, but drinks consistently slow for the night. Our waitress was 3 days in to working there and she was so kind, sweet, and got answers to questions on the menus and she was attentive; then the staff switched. The other waitress was okay but we asked for the bill and had to wait like 40 minutes for the bill and card dance. This happens, I used to serve I understand; but it was preventable. We saw the alternative server doing shots with the bartender and having long chats with staff before returning our cards.
Word to the new girl, never let this lady watch your tables again. She is not trust worthy.
Would eat there again! It was a really nice night out and the food was amazing and the specialty cocktails on point. The same bartender struggled with a simple black and tan.
The beers are a generous pour and worth the price. The food is great classic pub grub mixed with some less than traditional options that feel at home on the menu. The interior decoration is the shining star of this little pub!
They were taking great covid precautions with outdoor seating and all of the tables being a lot farther than 6ft apart, I loved it! Such good beer and food, I recommend trying the fish and chips!
Exceptional food, very kind staff members, consistently awesome mood. They charge reasonable prices and the food quality is awesome. Fantastic work.
One of my preferred spots to grab something to eat. excellent location, neat, and very good customer service. I recommend this place!
This is our go to for family friendly great food and service, and has been for the last decade. We love the menu staples - fish and chips, chicken tenders, salads and burgers, but we also enjoy trying the seasonal and rotating menu specials. The food is always fresh and satisfying, comfort food meets fine cuisine and local flavors, especially delicious when shared with friends and family. We love that we almost always run into friends and neighbors here. The beer list is impressive with flavors of Dublin and Europe as well as local craft options, and a bunch of great wine and cocktail offerings too. During COVID-19 we got weekly takeout meals and have made a few trips back recently, now we get food to go and eat outside at one of the tables set up for social distancing. Slainte!
