4.2 | I love the White Bull. I believe I’ve been here about five times now. I love their seasonal options for entrees as well as pastas. I think some folks are more critical because it doesn’t fall into the category of “traditional Italian,” which sometimes feels quite oddly American. The options here feel really fresh, and unique. I had the gnocchi this last time, and I enjoyed it much. Although I’m not a fan of green peas, I found the sprouts, mushroom, and pork sauce. I also had their bread and butter, a staple and a must. their drink selections are always superb and their wine pairing was perfect. I got the ricotta cheesecake for dessert and it is a beautiful balance of sweet and savory. recommend!
White Bull is one of my favorite farm to table Italian restaurants. We have been going here for Valentines every year since we moved to Decatur. We always do the Chef's tasting menu. Our first year they featured a vegetarian menu, which wasn't my husbands favorite. This year (2022) it was not vegetarian, and we loved every bite. We even splurged for the wine pairing and it was delightful!
We chose to sit outside this year. While we love the inside ambiance, we prefer the well heated outdoor patio. There are heat lanterns for every table, and 2 fire pits. We did go home smelling like a bon fire, but what else would you expect.
The waiter, Russel was fantastic! So helpful! He even took a picture of the bottle of wine we loved from the pairing and air dropped it to us.
I highly recommend White Bull for a date night, special event, or even just a tasty meal!
The White Bull is a fantastic Italian restaurant nestled in downtown Decatur. The food, drinks and service were all great. The outdoor seating with heaters and fire pits are the perfect way to spend an evening. Their menu is seasonal, with a focus on whatever is fresh at the moment so the menu changes constantly.
On this visit, the Buffalo cauliflower was on the menu. It was crispy and delicious with a good level of heat. The spaghetti was fresh and flavorful. The creamy rich burrata was offset nicely by the acid of the lemons and olives. All-in-all it was an ideal veggie dish.
Special shout-out to the bartender Leo. He is awesome. Definitely can’t wait to go back and try lunch, and see what’s new on the menu.
Have you heard? White Bull has just launched a new, Aperitivo Hour Menu that is a sweet deal. Their new menu consists of Antipasta, exclusive cocktails, vermouth flights, and $10 pasta every day from 4pm until 6pm. The Antipasta, or Sfizi, on the menu during my visit was roasted broccolini, mortadella, marinated beets, crispy potatoes, asparagus, and charred baby gem lettuce priced at just $7 each. The $10 pastas were mafalde, perciatelli, and spaghetti. There was a selection of beer ranging from $4 to $7 and glasses of wine ranging from $9 and $15. The specialty cocktails were Aperol Spitz, Spumoni, Americano, Alpine Schorle, and Pirlo Spritz and just $10 each. I recommend White Bull's new Aperitivo Hour Menu for those who want to try a wide variety of delicious items while not breaking the bank.
What I tried on White Bull's Aperitivo Hour Menu:
I started with the Aperol Spitz which had Aperol, prosecco, and soda. Then I tried the Americano made with carpano bitter, carpano classic, and vermouth, and soda. For Sfizi I tried the roasted broccolini and it came with caesar and crumbs - very savory and delicious. I also had the asparagus served with parmesan and a sunny-side-up egg. I ended my visit with two pasta. The first was spaghetti, cacio e pepe. I ended my visit mafalde, a carbonara.

I so want to love White Bull and I love trying new things but I have to say that I’m never thrilled with the pastas (too out there). Also went recently and the apps were small for the price and odd. Cocktails good and bread and butter are FABULOUS. Coming here makes me crave traditional Italian though.
I often visit Atlanta twice a year and this was my first time trying The White Bull. It was amazing! Everything from the staff to the food was incredible! It was so good we came back the next night! This is definitely our new go-to when we come into town. We can’t wait to visit again and try new items!
Outstanding! Have family in Italy and have to say the burrata and the rigatoni was reminiscent of Italy! The menu is ever changing which is refreshing! The drinks were unique! My son is at Emory and this restaurant will be my go to when visiting! I even told him and don’t care what grub hub costs, just order from here a few times a week! I never leave reviews but this restaurant’s talents deserve praise
The white bull have cute outdoor seating area in the back. They have heating lamps they can turn on.
Came here for brunch and order bunch of different appetizers and we're pleasantly surprised. Biscuits are huge and delicious. Soft and pillowy on the inside but the slight bite to the outside. I just wish their butter was a bit seasoned more. Their brussel sprouts had glaze on that was delicious and it is cooked perfect. Their endives were refreshing and crisp. Tomato on top was juicy and delicious. I don't know what !which they pulled but crispy potato is truly crisp on the outside. Their sauce and cheese served with it are a!azing. Also had this egg dish with anchovies. Personally it was too much anchovies but rest of the group loved it.
Note, they only have espresso. No coffee, but they can make you Americano. Their beans were meh. They also give you white sugar cubes if you want sugar with your espresso.
It was a little hard to get waiter's attention because they had an event inside the restaurant but overall, pretty good experience.
