A great place to unwind after a busy day or for those who intend to just chill on the waterfront. This is located by the inter-coastal near Deerfield Beach, in close proximity to the bridge, with adequate seating available. Another outstanding feature is the large and convenient parking, especially for a location as prime as this. Food is average. Some nighttime views of the bridge and waterfront can be spectacular.
We visited in late afternoon as the sun was setting. This is an excellent time to experience the views in daylight, transitioning to evening and then to night. Our first impression was one of bemusement as the hostess told us she only had one table left. As we were led to that table we walked past half a dozen empty tables to a booth that was comfortable. What we quickly realized as other parties were led to similar tables is many asked for a better view and then had their wish granted, we should have done the same. Our view was okay, but some tables really have great views here and some of those were empty when we walked in. Why didn't we get one (for being early) without making a fuss? Fortunately, we were tall enough to see over the rows of other tables to the water from our booth. As the sunlight faded into darkness, we also realized that seeing the marina and Intracoastal Waterway in daylight is better than at night. Our next visit will be earlier in the day. Our meals were very good. We enjoyed the dolphin (mahi on the menu) sandwich and blackened chicken penne pasta. Service was very slow after we were seated. We felt like the forgotten couple at the booth. For the next 20 minutes, other parties were seated and promptly served, but not us. It was infuriating and we almost walked out. Finally we got a waitress's attention and everything went fine. This waitress was training a newbie and that may have explained the faux pas. Prices here are on the high side, not for the bargain hunter, but if you factor in the view of the waterway, we think it was worth it. We want to give the Cove Waterfront another shot in the future, it is so beautiful, and then I'll update this review.
The Coves remodeled is amazing! Great ambiance and tasty food. We had the crab cakes , shrimp and the Hawaiian Ribeye. Highly recommended. Christian was very on point and amicable. Good Vibes and Vacation feeling all around!. Th hey had live music , which we enjoy very much. Thank you!!!
First time there not impressed with crab cakes at all too much celery and no seasoning. Also a big turn off to serve steak and not have steak sauce. Overall ok place. I will give it a second try.
Visited the cove for the first time this summer and really enjoyed it. I recommend getting the Salmon and Mahi Mahi which were both delicious. The service was quick and great. The restaurant itself is beautiful with a lot of outside seating, right by the water. Next to the restaurant there is a waterfront dock which you can walk around after dinner. I would definitely recommend coming for dinner by if you are in the area.
We hadn’t been here since they started the remodel. Decided to give it a try today. We were a little hesitant since we’ve seen some negative reviews. The place is absolutely beautiful, the food was amazing and the service was excellent. Autum, was our waitress and she was absolutely awesome. We had the conch fritters they were excellent, the fish dip I didn’t love but hubby did. For the main course we had the Seafood Fra Diavolo and it was very good. And the Key Lime Pie was to die for and the view well that was the reason we went to in the first place. Anyway I recommend you go try it for your self.
Really enjoyed lunch at The Cove! Brought my grandparents and my mom on a Saturday afternoon, valet was only $5, we were seated promptly outside with a view of the water and our server was very friendly and accommodating. She even noticed my grandparents spoke Spanish and spoke with them directly to get their orders which was a very nice touch. 3 of us ordered the shrimp scampi and pasta and I had the mahi sandwich. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars on food is because the mahi sandwich didn't have textural elements and was a bit one note. The sauce was good, but it made the bread soft. I wish the bread would've been toasted. Aside from that, the experience was great, will definitely be back!
Came here during a business trip stay. The area was very nice. Cozy and the service was great. Very attentive. The food was awesome. Hope to visit again
Docked one star because of the hostess. Didn’t even get a hello, just asked us how many people. Very unwelcoming, but our server was great! Food was delicious, reasonable prices, and good options! I would return
Really nice patio and waterfront view
Food was delicious lobster Mac and cheese with delicious thick pieces of lobster. Everyone at our table had nothing but good things to say about their dish. Will definitely return with my wife and try their dinner menu. Nice view of the intracoastal and passing yachts and homes.
