While the Ham and Cheese Grinder was good, they offer a split side in which I got half onion rings and half fries. Should have got all onion rings as they were amazing. Friendly service.

I've been coming here for a few weeks on business. I'm not from here, but wanted to check it out before I reviewed. If you follow me, you know I only give reviews for #thegoodstuff I suggest you follow me on Google reviews. Okay, the ad is over.
Hands down, this is the best pub in Defiance, Ohio! I went to place called "Sinners", and was worried about being shanked! I didn't get shanked, and made it home to my hotel.
But If you want the best foods, with BARGAIN prices and great service, come see Sid, Emily, and Eric (some of the bartenders) and you WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. This place delivers, at a bargain price!
So, I've had a few things here... First of all, their Chicken Wings are to DIE FOR! There is a BWW just across the road... hands down... I will ALWAYS come here first! Their lunch special is INSANE! I can one of their specialty subs with a side for only $5.99... Seriously, this place is the best kept secret in Ohio!
Tonight, I simply got a house salad. I hot Blue Cheese dressing with a side of their Molten Lava wing sauce. The added it with no upcharge. It was dynamite, if you like spicy.
Highly recommend this place!
In normal times I would rate this place a 3 but given staffing issues and the new normal today I gave them a 4 (wish there was a 3.5). Food took longer than expected for a burger and sub. Bartender was attentive even though she was really busy. Husband had the Italian grinder and fries. Grinder was huge, had to be at least 2 lbs, he ate half (see pic) fries were not worth eating or taking home. They were cool and not a great flavor - they seemed old. I had the black and blu burger ordered medium with Cole slaw. Burger was over cooked but still had a really good flavor. The lettuce and tomato were fresh and the Cole slaw was good but dry. If we were traveling back through the area, we would stop again.
The food was very good and the service was fast and polite. $6 for a toasted 6 inch sub and onion rings is an incredible deal! Gotta check it out!
Had my son's birthday party here and they are great!!! Even short staffed, service was excellent and food was good. They are definitely a hidden gem in defiance.
