Welcoming but trendy atmosphere. Clean. Interesting decor, classy but casual. Superb menu. We enjoyed saganaki and a couple of gyros. Excellent meal. Speedy, timely dinner/cocktail service from Adrienne at the bar. Adrienne was witty and communicative with stories and excellent suggestions about the menu/cocktails. She made our Sunday fun!
Many excellent craft beers to choose from. The Chocolate Raspberry Martini is so good!! Their lighting really enhances their abundant top shelf choices, Balvenie being one of them. We visited on their first Sunday open and had a lovely time. Glad to have an excellent classy, upscale but casual dining choice without the Chicago pricing! Highly recommend. Cannot wait to return!
Well, having been gone a few years from the area this was a pleasant surprise. Food was great and the fact that they carried HENDRICKS and knew how to serve it was spectacular. I'll still go with 4.5 stars in Hope's of better beer on tap next time around. It was a pretty good crowd and a happy one for sure. Good add DeKalb.
Nice restaurant with good food selections. It was nice that they support local beers on their menu. Had the Bacon burger and it had flavorful seasons in the meat. It was a double burger so a lot of burger. Did have a weird experience with the hostess asking if we needed boxes while we were still eating. It appeared that she was trying seat a group from the bar. However our waitress in no way rushed us. The place kept busy. A bit of noise between the music and talking level, nothing obnoxious. We will be back.

Nice atmosphere but gets loud when busy. Food is delicious. Feta triangles as appetizer will be ordered again. Prices are very reasonable too. My chicken & gyros combo was so good. Came with tzatiki sauce 2 pitas & bowl of rice pilaf.

I had the fish and chips, the cod was really fresh and they make their own delicious tartar sauce. The other food selections all looked good as well, and the place has a great feel. There is music but it's not overly loud so we could still have a conversation. We will come back again sometime.
Updated review: still enjoy the flavor of foods and drinks however, the past few times we have gone and had sandwiches, we are disappointed with how “liquidy” the sandwiches are. Rather than being able to eat it with your hands you have to use a fork. Would like to see the sandwiches be less juicy or provide wet wipes with order.
Had an excellent experience at the Tavern. We decided to try someplace new for a low key anniversary celebration. Sat at the bar and had excellent service. Great selection of spirits. Both my husband and I enjoyed ours meals. Our bartender surprised us with an anniversary dessert too! We will be back.
