The Food was amazing, Friendly and courteous waitress staff, this place the bartender knows how to make a cocktail. Family, fun atmosphere a great place with a variety of entree to accommodate the whole family.

The food is amazing and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. The food comes fast and hot and the place is always clean. I love going to this restaurant with friends and family.

Lunch special was $6.99 for a burrito I added rice & beans alacart for .99¢. The tortilla wrapped cheesecake was not that great. The cheesecake was fine but the tortilla was too chewy.

The food was good, usually when I go somewhere to eat, they say that the plates are hot, when in fact it's barely warm, but they ain't kidding here, burnt my fingers touching the plate, our waitress took very good care of us, best thing I seen being my first time there was the insane amount of food you get for the price and I do believe that they have the cheapest drinks around. Knocked one star off because of the salsa being severely hot(spice wise) and their cheese dip was very bland(at least to me) other than that the rest of the meal was amazing.

The place was nice and clean. Staff was very welcoming. The food was great. Staff seemed very busy and could use a hand. But they where able to get everything done. We talked and didn’t mind the wait. Will visit again.

After 7 years in Texas I have finally found Mexican Cuisine that I love. Great service, atmosphere and great food. For the hungry man, I highly recommend the "Texas Burrito." I opted for it to be topped with green sauce in lieu cheese sauce and could had had it made to order which I didn't do. Filled with Carne Asada, Carnitas, Chicken, Beans, Rice, Guacamole, Sour Cream, Cheese and Pico de Gallo. A hearty meal weighing by my estimation to be in the range of about 4+ pounds of deliciousness. This gargantuan of a burrito is the best I have EVER had and Girasoles Mexican Food will become a regularly Restaurant for me in the future.

Wow!!! The food is just so great. They have authentic Mexican food that is made to perfection. I will be coming back a lot and bringing my friends and family too. If you like real Mexican food then you have to try this place. It's amazing.

Never disappoints! Chile Verde burrito is my favorite. So tender and flavorful. Their Carne asada is very good as well.

Loved the food, tacos and the queso on the enchiladas was heavenly!!!! Oh and the margarita's were really good and only $2.50 at happy hour!!!! Great place, will be back!!!

Girasoles catered my sons wedding rehearsal dinner. Excellent food. Everyone was very impressed w the meal. Some local people had never heard of Girasoles. They will now become regulars I believe!

My favorite place on the planet! I love the crispy chicken tacos and the Camarones Diabla and the tortilla soup and the mango margaritas....you get the idea!! Wonderful staff and service. Really great place and people!

Fabulous, quality Mexican food, great service. This is absolutely, without question, the best Mexican restaurant in this area! We have tried many, many items on the menu, and have had super meals every time. The guacamole is no corners cut and delicious.<br/>The salsa is quite savory. Try the cheesecake chimichanga for a delightful dessert...they also often have homeade flan.

My daughter and I eat here at least once if not twice a week. lol We love their food. Everything is so fresh. I have never tried something here that I didnt like. Highly recommended it. OH and you have to have a margarita.

We ate here yesterday after reading some positive reviews about this restaurant. I've been trying to find great Mexican in the area, and unfortunately, still haven't found it. So, starting from the beginning, the salsa is good and I liked the chips, too. We also ordered the queso Blanco and it was okay, nothing too exciting, lacking zest. I ordered the chicken fajitas and my partner ordered the Carne Asada meal with the shrimp on top. I ordered my fajitas with no beans or rice just the chicken with bell peppers (no onions), cheese, pico, and sour cream. The meat looted more like chicken looks from an Asian restaurant; shaped strange, too much of it, weird texture. The pico had green chiles in it, which I thought was odd. In addition, the pico looked like it was sprinkled with pepper, which was also odd to me. The meat wasn't very tasty, could've used to be marinated prior. The cheese looked like the Mexican Kraft from a bag variety, not too appealing, and the tortillas are not made there so even though they come to table hot and rolled in aluminum foil, after the first one, the others get sort of crunchy and cold. My partner got the Ajo shrimp atop her Asada and she LOVED them, the garlic flavor was awesome. She also said that her meat was very good too. The service was good but the restaurant was a little strange and looked like maybe it had been an Asian restaurant before becoming Girasole's. Overall, I wasn't impressed and fear that for good Mexican or shall I say Tex-Mex, I'll probably have to stick with my regulars; Blue Goose, La Hacienda Ranch (Corinth/Lewisville/Frisco), and Chuy's.

I've dined here several times and have never had a less-than-stellar dish. Menu features typical Tex-Mex fare, freshly-made in-house that morning. The brisket tacos have just the right amount of kick and the hand-poured pineapple margaritas (on the rocks) are on point, as well. You've got a run for your money, Kent's!

The food here is consistent. Always fresh. The beef is freshly ground and nothing is ever frozen, except the margaritas 😊. They use real cheese and the salsa is always spot on. The waitstaff and cooks will treat you like family. ❤️🌮🌯👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 I love the grilled shrimp salad with huge shrimp and avocado slices and sometimes with the carne asada.

By far the best Mexican food around! The queso is delicious, addictive salsa, spiced just right chicken or beef entrees as well as Veggie options- love the garden burrito, great guacamole, amazing margaritas, and friendly staff! I have yet to have anything less than a wonderful meal at Girasoles!!!

First time here and I really enjoyed it. The chicken flautas had lots of chicken and were seasoned well. They came with guacamole and sour cream. Beans were good. I will be back!

Going WAY downhill. I rev.... Going WAY downhill.<br/><br/>I reviewed this restaurant (positively) over a year ago, and I wish they had been able to maintain all the good things they had going. <br/><br/>Within the last couple of months, the food has taken a downward turn, and the service has become terrible. Honestly, the decrease in the quality of food would probably only be noticeable to someone who has frequented the restaurant. The food is still fine. It's not as good as it was, but it's still passable.<br/><br/>The big concern is the service. The restaurant has seen almost a complete turnover in wait staff over the past year, and they're definitely suffering for it. The previously friendly staff is now indifferent and often visibly unhappy. The culmination of this issue was the bartender talking to acquaintances in the dining area; she was swearing very loudly and complaining about the restaurant and her job. (We're talking very loud and repeated cursing. The kind of cursing that would likely cause a movie to have an R rating.) This is without a doubt the most unprofessional behavior I've ever seen by someone on the clock. This place is AMAZING. First of all, Yelp must be rigged because it has a 96% on urbanspoon after 50 reviews, and 66% after 3 reviews on Yelp. Yelp is dead wrong.<br/><br/>We came in at 2:30 in the afternoon on a Saturday, and there were already 4 tables for one server. He was probably the best server we've ever had. We got everything we wanted or needed, and quickly.<br/><br/>Chips and salsa? Amazing. It tastes so fresh. A bit of spice but the perfect amount. After 6 chips, you just can't stop. They're so good.<br/><br/>We also ordered margaritas. The server suggested that we not order regular margaritas, but rather one of their made-fresh varieties, like orange, pineapple, grapefruit, or hibiscus. My wife got pineapple and I got hibiscus. I don't say this haphazardly, but these were the best margaritas either of us have ever had. We've had margaritas at the best restaurants in Houston, Albuquerque, and anywhere just east of Dallas, but we've never had margaritas this good. They complimented the chips and salsa perfectly. <br/><br/>And the food was incredible as well. I personally prefer the sour cream sauce at a family restaurant in our hometown of Commerce, TX, but this was a close second. My wife said it was the best Texmex she's ever had, bar none.<br/><br/>We are definitely coming back, and probably even tonight while we are still in Denison. Twice in one day isn't nearly enough for this place.<br/><br/>FYI, she had the number 1 combo dinner with double rice, and I ordered three enchiladas (one with enchilada sauce, one with sour cream source, and one with salsa verde) with double rice.<br/><br/>Highly recommend. :)

Great experience. My uncle suggested we go there for lunch. He has been eating there for a long time and we are from Oklahoma so we tried it. It was absolutely great. I said I wish they were close by because I would be frequenting them regularly.

So Close and So good. Have lived 6 blocks from this place for years and never tried it. After reading the reviews on Urbanspoon , we decided to give it a try. So glad we did! The food was excellent. I had the carnitas and my wife had the chicken fajitas. The thing that impressed me was the amount of peppers and onions on my wife's fajitas. Most places skimp on these, but not here.She also had the tortilla soup and said it was the best she ever had. All the food was excellent and so was the service. I will definitely be going back.

Dinner review. Excellent!!! Everything was awesome. Food was great, margs were freshly made and they even let you taste test. The hibiscus was to die for! Service was incredible, will be back. Bravo!

We'll be back. Have to admit, the chips scared me. Kinda stale bagged tasting chips. But the salsa was good so I tried to keep my hopes up. Then the queso arrived. A nice white farmer's cheese, no velvetta! Now we're talking. I had the carne asada. Very tasty and had a cheese enchillada hiding underneath. Not sure if that was on purpose or not. My wife had the cheese enchilada's (No asada hiding underneath). Very nice with a specially spiced sauce. Didn't really have room but we ordered deserts anyway. The sopapilla was different than any I've ever seen but was delish and huge. My flan was quite good as well but next time I think we'll just go double on the sopapilla. Service couldn't have been nicer. Huge improvement over the cuban place that was there.
