My son and I came with my in laws for lunch . They both had ribs,tater salad and my father in law also had Coleslaw and the jalapeños,mother in law had green beans and they had mild sauce. They enjoyed ! Ihad a brisket sandwich with the soda pop BBQ sauce,tater salad and the bacon wrapped brisket stuffed jalapeños. It was fabulous! My son also had the brisket sandwich,tater salad,macaroni salad and jalapeños and he loved it as well ! The decor and atmosphere is awesomeness!

My favorite Texas BBQ place north of the Pineywoods! All of the food is delicious & tasty! My favorites are the brisket with the hot sauce & the potato salad. Anytime I hear someone asking where to go for good barbecue, I tell them Hickory House in Denison. The soda shop is great too with its selection of hard to find & cant find anywhere else in the area sodas. We keep trying to figure out our favorite Root Beer but each time we return, there's at least one new variety in stock! An assorted 6 pack makes appreciated gifts too.
The brisket was delicious! Generous serving size. My kids loved the wax candy pop bottles and it was no problem getting them to finish their meal first � My first meal in Denison and I'll definitely be back �
Great food, Soda Shop has unique candy and old fashioned bottled sodas. Friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Great place to eat!
First visit and Best BBQ brisket I have ever tasted. Great vibe, love the decor, and they were playing the Rolling Stones. What's not to love!

I have eaten there several times and each time was Wonderful! I would eat there more if I lived in Sherman/Denison. I only Wish they were open longer hours on Saturday. It's a Great Neat environment! I Love all the Kool sodas as well but I miss the old Fashioned Candy Shop though

Literally just ate the best meal I've ever had, courtesy of hickory house! Their burnt ends with hot BBQ sauce is no joke... Wish I could come every Friday.
I found the meats to have a ballanced smoky taste with large portions. A welcome difference than traditional Texas smoking. The rustic decore and huge selection of hard to find sodas adds to the meal. Worth the travel time from where we live. Took the time to voice my total satisfaction with the engaging staff. Been back since fir sure.....
