Review Family Table - Denison

Great place for more of a comfort styled meal. Food came out hot and was a good portion. One small issue since we both ordered hot beefs was that they only had enough beef for one order not two. This was not a big deal since this was out first time so the order was changed to a pork tenderloin with tater tots. The pork tenderloin was one of the best that we have had. Will go back for sure to have that again. Service was good, it was lunch time and the place was packed. Prices were great and we left full. Took our daughter today and everything was wonderful. My husband had the picnic special with the tavern. He stated he would order it again.

Food was excellent. Service was wonderful. Lemon Merique pie was top notch.

Thought we’d try this place out, pics online had attracted our attention . However!!!Waitress was polite,portions way too skimpy for their prices! Ordered full order hot beef, got what looked more as a kids meal with two skimpy thin pieces of beef like maybe maybe 3 oz!! Covered in little gravy,two small pieces bread. Way Overpriced! Never NEVER again! Back to Missouri Valley Cornstalk cafe for Awesome portions and prices!

Every meal Ive ever ate there was wonderful. Breakfasts there are the best in town. The number of cars in the parking lot is a good indicator of the dining experience. Mike and his crew will take good care of you and your company.

Had pecan pie, pecans weren't all that fresh. Bf had lemon pie and the topping kept coming off. *pies store bought mostly* to much sour cream on our loaded tator tots. But taco bowl could have been a little bigger but other than that the taco bowl was great no complaints.

Unfortunately, the three times we have visited this restaurant has been terribly lackluster. I've chalked it off as the wait staff. We had the same waitress each time. I want to say that the food is delicious, if you get it or get it on time. I've never had an issue with the quality of the cook. The first visit I went for breakfast with my daughter and it took us 30 minutes to get our drinks and almost an hour for our food. There were only about 8 people in the dining room not including us. The waitress was terrible rude and unconcerned as if we were and inconvenience to be there. The second visit I took my kiddos and some friends and they were out of hot beef, which was fine but the waitress was rude once again and would stand and chuff and act all around bothered that we were there. Once again, the dining room was almost empty. The third and final time we have gone I took both of my kiddos for reakfast and the dining room was full but most people had already received their orders and were finishing up. Same waitress, this time she was more pleasant but placed the blame on fellow employees for delivering us the wrong orders consistently. Ultimately landing on us receiving the people's order next to us. I decided not to wait on the rest of the order as everything else would have been cold by the time it arrived and there's no point in eating a breakfast in 3 separate courses as they arrive at your table. We also didn't get our drinks until we asked for the twice after some of the order arrived. She did apologize and corrected the ticket to reflect only what was eaten, but I've never had a pleasant experience here as many others have said as well. The food is great, but not worth being treated poorly by staff or not getting what you order.

Busy, but waitress had it under control. Great food, loved it. Family friendly, worth a stop. Pancakes as big as the plate Very good coffee, sausage gravy and biscuits and a skillet for a meat eater. Thank you

The food is good, especially their onion rings. Clean, friendly and we had a great waitress. Great family restaurant.
