Sundae School is the best ice cream place in Cape Cod. It is my family's favorite and has been for thirty years. My 7 month led grandson just had his first ice cream from Sundae School and so it begins with our third generation. Love the ice cream, the player piano, the college kids who serve and the all American ambiance! Thanks for the memories Sundae School.
This ice cream place is most unique. Waited in line behind some cars trying to enter the parking lot; 2 young people directing traffic to enter/park. Crowded but extremely organized. Parked, went in. Short line to order...lots of young people waiting on customers. Had delicious hot fudge sundae. Best hot fudge I've tasted in years, marshmallow, nuts and a cherry. Sat at an outside table, very delightful.
No wonder people talk about this place so much and go there repeatedly!
A favorite, must-go spot of the Cape Cod experience. Having indulged in their yummy, drippy, chocolatey, gooey and decadent sundaes since I was a kid, no trip to the Cape is complete without a trip(s) to the Sundae School! A family outing for sure! We even have their ice cream for lunch. "Don't skip Sundae School!" 💗🍧🍦😍
Ice cream was the best. Creamy and delicious. Service was great. No real wait especially for how busy they were. Loved the old world charm.
My daughter has a peanut allergy & rarely has been to an ice cream shop because of it. I was so excited to try this place when I found out they have 6 allergen aware flavors. She was extremely happy & so weren't we. Will definitely be going back again!
Awesomeness !!!
I do like it better off season! But they keep it moving.from the line outside to the line inside.its worth the wait!
The best ice cream I have ever had! Their ice cream is so good they have a cop directing traffic along with parking attendants. Pretty quick service given how busy they are. Hands down the best flavour is raz-oreo! Black raspberry with oreo cookies (icing and all) which are nicely softened by the ice cream. Unfortunately I discovered this flavour on our last night here and I'm pretty sure nothing will ever compare!
Amazing ice cream, kind & courteous staff, darling old time farm house setting. A not to miss family experience.
My family loved it! We were nervous when we first pulled up and it was so busy that a police officer was directing traffic and there were parking lot attendants but we gave it a try. It is really well organized and we didn't have to wait long at all to get ice cream. The line moved right along. Ice cream was delicious and the best was the Allergy aware freezer. My son got to get cookie dough ice cream for the 1st time ever!! We'll be back.
I went there for the first time today with my group from Transitions. They got decent ice cream with different toppings and nice patio areas outside.
Best ice cream and sundaes ever. Real whipped cream and real cherry 🍒 on top!

Best home made ice cream ever.
Very charming old school ice cream parlor, loved the decor. Excellent friendly service. Highly recommend.
Wonderful Hot Fudge Sundae's. Always a good place when visiting the Cape.
Awesome! The traffic sometimes stinks but the ice cream is well worth it!
Some of the best ice cream on Cape Cod! Their hot fudge and fresh whipped cream really makes it. Their cherries are also tasty and fresh. I tried the special flavor which was a dirty brownie with hot fudge. It was super chocolatey and although there was a bit too much fudge (I might recommend ordering it on the side), it was all so tasty. Bring water too! They have a water fountain but it doesn’t go very high.
Overall great little spot! We got the sampler and enjoyed the Oreo crunch, coffee heath, and black raspberry. The finally flavor of the sampler was Maple Walnut which wasn't too great. I wouldn't complain if they had some background music. We did also tried Coconut which was probably the best flavor. Overall if you're looking for ice cream this is a pretty good spot
The best hot fudge sundae I’ve ever had! BassRiver Mud (subtle coffee flavor) with hot fudge, their homemade whip cream, pecans and a real cherry on top! The ice cream scoops were very generous! We may have gone here a few times, our Airbnb was right around the corner. Don’t miss this place!
Don't miss this place. We liked all about it. Cute place, with lots of place to sit inside and outside. Definitely try strawberry Sunday with whipped cream. Delicious! Must to visit in Dennisport.
Incredible Sunday! The best tasting ice cream I've ever had! Bring the family and enjoy!
Always packed and hopping after 12pm. They only took cash, so prepare yourself in advance. Parking looks like a nightmare during peak hours. Indoor seating had enough places to sit but not as much outdoors. Ice cream was good quality with non-generic whipped cream. Nothing much else to say. I wouldn't go there every time for dessert as it would add up to be pretty expensive. Cashiers and servers are pleasant.
Best ice cream I've ever had in my life!!! It's cash only, but you'll want it to tip the excellent and friendly people that serve you!
The atmosphere is nice and nostalgic. It's remained almost the same in over 35 years since I was a kid. They have an antique player piano that you can put coins in to play. Young kids love it. Ice cream flavors and sundaes are great. Service is done mostly by high school and college age kids and is pretty good. Lines inside and outside will be long during the after dinner dessert rush hour 8pm to 10pm but they move along well. The wait at that time may be around 30 minutes, but if you go then, and you already got your parking space, it's worth the wait. Parking is full especially during the time mentioned, and traffic will be busy on Lower County Road approaching the restaurant. It's a family owned businesses which makes it unique, but prices are higher than you would expect. Portions or prices should be adjusted so some do not see the restaurant as a tourist trap. This is important in an economy where tourists have stricter budgets. Go yourself or bring your kids at least once.
Sundae school is nostalgic ice cream shop perfection. The atmosphere is like something out of Disneyland but even more charming because it’s REAL! Absolutely everything about this shop knocked it out of the park. The sundaes were absolutely delicious… with plentiful famous hot fudge, delicious ice cream, homemade (and not too sweet) whipped cream and a fresh in season cherry on top! But what I really appreciated was the friendly, smiley service which is harder and harder to find nowadays. Sundae School is an absolute gem! I’m already dreaming about my next visit!
We have been getting ice cream here for years now and it doesn’t disappoint. I think it’s only hard ice cream and they usually have different flavors. It’s a busy place but the line moves quickly and the staff is friendly. We were there a few days ago and got four small ice creams and it cost 25$. There are a bunch of picnic tables outside for seating 👍 and there is another location a little further east down the cape.
