We had oysters , chef’s choice crudo and cocktails for happy hour! Everything was very tasty! Our server recommended the best granita! Can’t remember the name but it had beet juice and I was blown away! This place is a must try!

Awesome, as always. The best seafood and fish in Denver, and the staff is incredible to work with. Always knowledgeable, and always friendly. I love this place.

Fantastic experience. Best server maybe ever? Nieley. Most efficient manager who charms, busses tables, brings food, manages the room, and is quietly and stunningly competent? Tiffany. Service, food, tiny details, all perfect. This is what a restaurant should be like.

I had a perfectly pleasant lunch, a little late. I always appreciate getting good service as a solo diner. Love the food, I had he-crab soup (lots of crab with a thick clotted cream and nutmeg on top) and a couple of oysters. And a craft cocktail of violet granita and gin.

I love this place. We dined at S&G for our anniversary and will never forget it! If you have the chance to order the mussels with chorizo cornbread, you won't regret it!

This was our first time in Denver; as volunteer evacuees from Hurricane Irma. As a self-proclaimed food snob, Stoic & Genuine was excellent in every regard. Delicious and healthy-sized portions of creative food were delivered with polite service and fun cocktails, to boot. The little touches made it fun, too; including the salt bucket and sand shovel and the super-fun straws, too. :) Thank you for being a memorable part of our Denver excursion. Job well done, all.

I had not been to Stoic & Genuine in a couple of years but had fond memories of some great food. We went for lunch on a nice December afternoon and were rewarded with great food, fantastic service and a laid back ambiance that was perfect - all in all a fitting reinforcement for the good memories. Stoic & Genuine is located in Union Station which always makes for good people watching. They have good outdoor seating for warmer days. The inside is nicely appointed and not too noisy. That makes it perfect for casual conversation while enjoying selections from a nicely balanced offering of seafoods. Of course there are the standard items available for those that are not in the mood for fish or oysters. We started our lunch sharing some delicious fried calamari and a plate of smoked salmon and artichoke dip served with thick “old bay” potato chips. Frankly, we could have called it quits there but went on to order the tuna melt entree. Nothing disappointed. There is little wonder why they have received so many awards and accolades. Apart from the great food we also had great service. They were not particularly busy and we did not feel rushed. Our server had the right balance of attentiveness while leaving us to enjoy privacy to chat. If you are downtown in Denver, love seafood and a good restaurant, do yourself a favor and stop in.

This place just taught me what oysters *are*. I thought I knew, I cook seafood pasta with canned oysters or sometimes even fresh from grocery, etc. No. Just no. They lose so many flavor notes. I had no idea. Came during oyster hour, had fried calamari (great flavor in the breading, good texture) and a pear granita (perfect complement to the oysters) and a half dozen east coast, half a dozen west. It's chef's choice, asked for a variety, they brought me 2 of each (which was exactly what I was hoping for.) The variety of flavors has me shocked. Who knew oysters could taste like melon? Or seaweed? Or sweet? Really good quality, and very filling. Staff were lovely, had a great chat about it all. I'm jealous they get to eat these all year round and taste them all. (They even noticed my table was wobbly and fixed it for me -- I didn't even have to say anything!) Will definitely be back. Thanks for the experience and the revelation.

Love love love it! I’ve been here a couple of times. And I knew the very first time, that it…was gonna be excellent. Seafood is fresh as can be, oysters are on point with a large selection to choose from. I will happily eat here every time I’m in town. They’ve made a loyal follower!! Also some of the best cocktails I’ve ever had.

A highlight of a recent trip to Denver, I would say this is the best seafood restaurant in between the two coasts (maybe even on them as well!). Don’t skimp, try everything - especially the oysters and the cocktails! Super fun service and really feels like your own getaway.

They begin by bringing you cornbread, which is gluten free and good tasting. We got the Dill Chill cocktail. I got some oysters to start, $5 each. I also got tuna tartare and my friend got salmon. We shared asparagus and carrots. Some of the carrots were burnt but everything else tasted good.

Great place to people watch and have a drink. I dined off the happy hour menu. Waitress who was pretty much nonexistent- when appeared- suggested the Surimi Fish sticks with wasabi tobiko aioli $8.50, they were barely a step up from the frozen ones I remembered eating as a kid. Wouldn’t recommend. The spicy pear granita though was really nice- $8- had 2.

We had a lovely date night at Stoic & Genuine. Everything about it was top-notch and I definitely look forward to going back again sometime. The inside of the restaurant is much smaller than I expected, but I didn't realize they actually have quite an expansive outdoor area. If we had known the weather would be so perfect, we would have made reservations to sit outside. The inside is lovely, but the tables are very close together. We felt that we got to be a part of 3 experiences - our own date night, the awkward couple's first date on our right, and the boisterous family celebration on our left. Both tables were empty for the remaining 20 minutes of our meal, so we finally got to have some conversation without distractions. Still enjoyed the whole experience though! The food was absolutely delicious, but we felt the hyped-up deviled eggs were a little less exciting than we expected. They just didn't pack all that much flavor beyond normal deviled eggs, even with the smoked trout on top. My husband had the Filet Mignon and he loved it. The potato sfoglie and chimichurri were so, so good. I had the Thai Green Curry Mussels and while I would absolutely have them again, someone needs to add a disclaimer that sometimes the kitchen has a little too much fun with the Fresno chilis. The mussel broth was to die for and I felt like I almost did die with how much heat those chilis packed! It was one of those situations where your eyes and nose are watering from the spice but the taste is so amazing you just power through. I love myself a lot of heat, but I definitely wasn't prepared for this dish! I drank so much water with the broth that my tummy was sloshing all the way through Union Station back to the train. Still, I would definitely order this dish again, just with a much larger glass of water. All in all, highly recommend this place. Thank you to the wonderful staff! Service was impeccable.

I was suspicious of the restaurants attached to Union Station, but I was completely wrong. Stoic and Genuine had super fresh seafood, delicious drinks and very friendly staff. I would recommend this to anyone!

This should be the standard of 5 star service. The serving staff never let a drink get empty without offering a refill. Our server, Mike, offered helpful recommendations and advice. The food was excellent. Easily in an entirely different class from other seafood places I've eaten at. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Located in Union Station building, Lodo Denver. Hard to find this restaurant, but great place to enjoy fresh seafood. We ordered the seafood tower, which included a sampler of oysters, crab, and shrimp. Seafood was very fresh and loved the sauces! I recommend their deviled eggs, which includes (4) pieces and perfectly seasoned. The seafood chowder was enjoyable, but not the best that I have eaten.

Definitely was amazed. Our lovely waitress made us drinks that were AMAZING. I say train her on the bar cuz she's good at it. Food was perfect. Lobster was cooked super fine and the salmon was perfectly medium rare. Definitely coming back. Everyone was super happy and actually looked like they enjoy their jobs.

We had one of the most amazing meals we've had out in quite some time. It was one of those rare dining experiences in which everything was absolutely wonderful: service, setting, cocktails, starter, and the entrées. The "Always on Thyme" is a perfect summertime cocktail; light, refreshing, cold, and very tasty. The octopus mortadella is a genius creation from a very gifted chef. It's truly craveworthy. The roasted halibut collar and the crispy whole fish are expertly executed. Each bite was off-the-charts delicious and pescatarian heaven. This is a stellar restaurant and we'll most definitely return soon for another exemplary dinner.

This restaurant is located in the heart of Union station. It has outdoor and indoor seating. It was fun to sit outside and evaluate kids doing tricks on their bikes. As for their food, everything we had was very flavorful and delicious. Love the Bloody Mary here. It has a lot of flavors and unique spices. Their menu has very unique options. Their staff are friendly and provide us with excellent service. We probably will come back here when we revisit Denver.

Amazing little gem nestled right at Denver Union Station! I believe they are a smaller company but the atmosphere is amazing and the food was wonderful. I ordered the octopus and chilled Dungeness crab. They accidentally gave me boiled instead of chilled at first but promptly rectified it by giving me chilled and they let me keep the boiled. I didn't have to pay for it but it was made up in tips. The octopus was really good but I was surprised to find it sliced into sheets instead of leaving it a whole piece. It was still delicious! Yen was our server and she was awesome! She mixed my drinks on front of me, which was fun to watch. The alcohol itself came in a chemistry flask which was AWESOME. Some of the cocktails are named after books, like the Odysessy. Great overall seafood place.

impeccably great, fresh oysters from both coasts, decent wine list, what seems to be a great menu all around--will need more meals to speak to the entrees but the mussels were damn good =)
