I recently had the pleasure of dining at Mezcal, a captivating restaurant that left a lasting impression on my taste buds. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted with a warm and inviting ambiance, setting the stage for a remarkable culinary journey. To start our meal, we ordered the Chile Rellenos and Mezcal Nachos. The Chile Rellenos were simply exquisite. The roasted poblano peppers were stuffed with a flavorful blend of cheese and spices, creating a harmonious balance of mild heat and cheesy goodness. The Mezcal Nachos, on the other hand, were a delightful twist on a classic favorite. The generous topping of gooey cheese, fresh salsa, black beans, and tangy guacamole made for an irresistible combination that had me reaching for one nacho after another. Moving on, we indulged in the Pozole Rojo, Mezcal Burrito, and Carne a la Tampicania. The Pozole Rojo was a comforting bowl of traditional Mexican soup, brimming with tender pork, hominy, and an array of fragrant spices. It was rich, hearty, and soul-warming. The Mezcal Burrito was a true showstopper. Packed with succulent meat, rice, beans, and a medley of vibrant vegetables, each bite was bursting with flavor. Lastly, the Carne a la Tampicania was a carnivore's dream come true. The perfectly grilled steak, topped with sautéed onions and peppers, was juicy, tender, and incredibly satisfying. It also includes a good portion of Mexican rice, enchiladas, guacamole, corn tortillas, and a grilled jalapeno. What impressed me the most about Mezcal was the consistent quality across all the dishes we tried. The ingredients were fresh, the flavors were authentic, and the presentation was visually appealing. The attentive and friendly staff further elevated the dining experience, providing exceptional service throughout our visit. With its diverse menu and consistently delicious offerings, Mezcal is undoubtedly a place I would eagerly return to. The restaurant strikes a harmonious balance between traditional Mexican cuisine and innovative twists, resulting in a memorable dining experience for any food enthusiast. Whether you're seeking classic favorites or exploring new flavors, Mezcal is a culinary gem that should not be missed.

Anyone who says Denver doesn’t do Mexican food justice hasn’t been to Mezcal. I love this place for their amazing staff and outstanding Mexican food! Their weekly specials simply CANNOT be topped. Highly recommend any of their street tacos, and/or their massive plate of nachos. Always a treat. Enjoy!!

This place has the nostalgic pictures on the wall of the history of Mexico as well as agave farming in particular. The bar is a fully stocked tequila bar, other spirits as well, and focuses on serving them in exquisite creations including a delicious homemade Paloma or Margarita. Great people with perfect customer service and an attitude to make the best experience possible. I will be back and keep showing others! Keep it up Mezcal!

Went as a party of three on a Tuesday lunch hour to this nice little restaurant on East Colfax that serves pretty good Mexican fare like street tacos and burritos. Tuesday happened to be Taco Tuesdays, where the usually-$15 street taco platter (three tacos, rice and beans) were only $9. I had the Korean pork belly tacos, the chicken and carnita tacos on a soft corn tortilla. The tacos are not huge like in some other places, but they were very tasty and hit the spot. Parking is on the street (Colfax or nearby streets). Plenty of tables and seats - we didn't have to wait when we visited. Didn't have any alcoholic drinks, but the bar looks like a well-stocked one with lots of variety. Recommended definitely for the food!

Update (8/19/23) : food was horrible. Pay $20 for chiles rellenos, and $20 for burritos was a mistake! Sorry Mezcal, just ⭐️one star this time! Great place to eat latin food. Delicious!...

Nachos were amazing. Guacamole was fantastic. Overall, amazing. My friend's salad was GREAT and nice and spicy. However, I asked what taco they liked, and I got the Korean BBQ one, and it was small, all fat, and a couple strings of cabbage and a complete waste. Not good at all. Super disappointing. It was all fat, like the bad ends. And over sauced, etc. I would like to try other tacos but am leary to do so after that one. Overall mixed review. I'd still go back for the nachos tho all day every day. 😁

Quick stop on our way to the airport for lunch. We sat at the bar and Alejandro took awesome care of us. Super personable and helpful. Fun to chat with. He made spectacular drinks, and we got the salsa trio and shared the combo fajitas. So good!! The habanero salsa is hot but so flavorful! Also tried the carnitas taco.. amazing! Great stop!

We really enjoyed this place, going in on a early weekday afternoon and were seated immediately. The food was very delicious! They have several hot sauces to choose from as well. Decor inside is very pretty. This place has a sweet outdoor front patio if you want to people-watch. Chips and salsa were on point! It was actually very hard for us to choose our entrees because the menu is fantastic and we can't wait to go back to try more.

Enjoyed our experience very much. Service was good, friendly staff and quick turnaround time on meals and drinks. If you love Mexican food I would recommend this spot over probably 95% of the time over other Mexican restaurants in the area

The pork tacos delicious. They had pineapple pieces and a pineapple spicey sauce. The gravy for the burritos seemed homemade. Service was good not a lot of people there.

Just another one of those random authentic places that you don't expect to find. I would gladly go back again. The margaritas and the food were amazing.

This place is filled with loud music, crazy decor and great tacos! We came here for $1 taco Tuesdays and they were very flavorful, each tacos has it's own toppings and the meat was super tender. The chips came out warm and the salsa is fresh with a little spicy kick. The margaritas are balanced and the staff was attentive. I wish I lived here so I could visit often. I reccomend this place to everyone!

Mezcal was a treat for sure. The food was amazing but the atmosphere was less than amazing. The place was super loud and the music was over energetic to me. We ordered the mezcal burrito, street tacos, and some Nachos. Again, the food was extremely good! The server was pretty nice and honest. I didn't feel like he was pretending so I liked that. You should be able to be yourself. I would recommend the food anytime, but expect a loud environment. Next time, I will just order to-go.
