Very good food. Attentive and friendly staff. Mark, owner, is awesome. Loved the gluten free, dairy free and vegetarian options. Delicious flourless chocolate cake. Highly recommend. Hoping to eat there again before leaving Denver.
Great food, good service! We came in a sat night and played Cards Against Humanity after dinner. The wine was super good and affordable. The waitress let us stay as long as we wanted. Great atmosphere and great drink specials, especially for the weekend.
can't wait to come back. Try the pork sandwich!!!!!
I just discovered this farm to table experience through my kids and we love ❤️ Love ❤️ the food. Some of our favs are The Hangover, grass fed burger and bottomless Mamosa’s!
Best service ever. The manager told us upfront they were short staffed and might be slow, which we appreciated, but it was still fast and our waiter was super friendly and funny! Amazing food, great $13 deal on bottomless interchangeable mimosas, Mary and mules. Loved everything about it and will go back for sure.
“Best Burger on Earth”? More like...no wait that about sums it up. Super polite and quick staff, excellent service and atmosphere. Highly recommend! Would like to see a few more options on the menu maybe, but very satisfied.
Nick was our server, he was amazing! The food was delicious! First time here for brunch and we will definitely be back!!
Wonderful personable folks serving delicious food and drinks. Had a great veggie burger that I highly recommend. Will definitely be back!
Great food and people! Great food and people! Great food and people!

Excellent service, creative and delicious food options! We really enjoyed their mix and match bottomless mimosa/Bloody Mary/mule option on Sunday!
Menu is fabulous, I'm especially fond of the chicken & waffles. Always a friendly, accommodating staff, nice ambiance, free onsite parking, overall a great dining experience. Look forward to trying their Brunch menu & outdoor dining on their patio.
Fabulous meal and the service provided by Ben made it all better Started with the wood oven roasted tomato. Excellent. Both the rigatoni and fish tacos were superb. See you again soon. .
Great patio and excellent food! Service is spotless and the owner is usually on site. Perfect neighborhood spot for us but I would happily travel to this if necessary.
Slow service but great food! Went during the lunch hour with a few coworkers and the place seemed nice and folks were dressed business casual. Lunch entrees are between $12-$18 on average. I ordered the fish special which was a bacon wrapped cod with asparagus and french fries (I switched out the mashed potatoes for french fries since they looked so good!) I loved the cod, it was delicate and light and cooked nicely. The bacon was crispy on outside, but seemed under cooked underneath, it wasn't quite to my liking, but the dish was overall 4 out of 5.
Enjoyed a wonderful Saturday brunch here. The Short Rib Boursin Cheese Poutine dish was out of this world. So rich, decadent, and delicious.
Old Denver vibe and crowd. Born and raised here, I cherish this place, it's our Christmas Eve tradition! Warm ambience, especially during the holidays, and staff. The meals are always excellent as are the drinks and desserts.
We ate here for the first time last night. The lamb chops were excellent! The atmosphere was cool, and our serve was super friendly and attentive. The wine was also excellent. The food came out hot and fresh, not as if it had been sitting under a heat lamp. The crowd was a bit older, mostly in their 50s, but we were out for an early dinner. Will definitely visit again!
Quiet atmosphere. Good food. Decent prices (mostly for brunch and happy hour. It can be a little expensive outside of those times). Their food is worth the prices regardless. It seems pretentious your first step in, but is definitely not. The happy hour is is longer and more often than most restaurants so that's a BIG win!! Try the french toast at brunch! It's one of the best French toast I have ever eaten.
This place is fabulous! The food is excellent. Quality and freshness. I had the foccacia crusted shrimp and my husband had the lamb. The waiter was very nice and service was exceptional. The hostess was even super welcoming!
I drank a couple of cosmos with dinner, they were good, but maybe could have been a little more generous with the alcohol. Just a little flat tasting.
The restaurant definitely reflects old school supper club. Which is awesome. But in big need of updating. Updates should definitely be in keeping with the 30's and 40's. Also the bathrooms need a huge update. Overall 4 out of 5 stars for our experience. The food made the experience worth while.
My husband & I chose Avenue Grill to celebrate 22 years marriage due to a recommendation from my parents who also raved about the food!

The food and service was hreat! Definitely recommend the lamb shank!
Good food, good drinks, beyond great service.
Showed up around 8 PM on a Friday night with 11 people. The hostess really tried accommodating us in the main dining room but couldn't arrange it. Upon noticing two adjacent 4 tops in the bar area she seated us there with us knowing we might have to hover/stand. The waiter being slammed with a large group along with his regular tables was great. He took time to answer questions and was patient with the inevitable indecision. After a round of drinks an adjacent table opened up and the staff quickly made it available to us. Drinks and food were delivered pretty quickly considering the size of our group. We were all drinking cocktails that had to be handmade by the bartender, so the quick turnaround on drinks was great and were very tasty. The food service was equally fast and very good. Again, on receiving the bill, the waiter completely accommodated our various payment requirements. Wish I lived in Denver so I could frequent this restaurant. Which, BTW, looked like they had a fair amount of regulars at the bar.
I really liked this place. The oysters are incredible, so fresh, so tasty. The waiter was amazing and gave us great advice on what to order. To start, I had the crab cakes so yummy, I could have just kept on eating them. I had the lobster with coleslaw, and asked for my lobster to be DE-shelled. Portions were large, and I came away full and very satisfied!
The Avenue Grill is my favorite restaurant in the city of Denver. The Avenue exudes class and provides unequalled service. The menu is merely a formality because literally everything on it is is delicious. One can't make a wrong decision, and I've never had a bad meal at this establishment after hundreds of visits. Monday night is Prime Rib Night and it is not to be missed. Be sure to call ahead of time and reserve your favorite cut because it is weekly sell out.The staff are professionals in the highest order. Don't be surprised on your second visit that your name is remembered and you're treated as if you were a regular or a celebrity. Prices are mid to high range but far below the exceptional value received. The Avenue is a Denver treasure.
This place has a really decent happy hour and some GREAT martinis. As others have described the restaurant has a lot of old school charm and is great for people watching. The music is always great for the setting and really helps slow you down from a busy day. Here our favorites include the flatbread and the calamari. We’ve never had dinner there, just some snacks during happy hour. The bartenders are always very welcoming and make some great martinis. I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing way to enjoy happy hour.
The gimblet and BLTA focaccia was very delicious.
A local favorite! We had breakfast there, and came back for dinner. Great service, and friendly people. The hostess went out of her way to write down places of interest for us, as we were from out of town. Our waiter even recommended a restaurant for Mexican food, which the Avenues doesn't serve. Thanks for 2 great meals!
I am not sure how this restaurant got bookmarked for me to try on a recent trip to Denver... you gotta give props to any restaurant that can remain successful 30 years. I am also a fan of all restaurants in very old buildings, it's a thing.
We came around 1:15PM on a Saturday and had obviously missed any brunch crowd as the place was pretty empty. We got a nice corner table by the window and our server took really great care of us. First order of business were drinks. They have a build your own Bloody Mary bar that two of us took advantage of. You can either do one for $7 or bottomless for $14. The server brought us our glasses with ice -- and made certain to mention the liquid that appeared to be a generous amount of melted ice at the bottom was in fact Vodka (I was about to chug it, so I am glad that she shared that tidbit). They had all the fixings - many choices of sauces - hot, pepper, Worcestershire plus olives, celery, pickles, bacon to make your drink an entire meal.
The Beignets on the menu were too tempting to resist so we ordered them. We also ordered the Blueberry Pancakes, Benedict Burger and Raspberry Balsamic Chick Salad. Without going on a full download of how delicious the food was I will tell you this. A restaurant can be judged alone by the bacon they serve. Bacon is everything. The bacon here was delicious. We were all part of the 'clean plate club' for our meal at the Avenue Grill.
We stopped at the Avenue for dinner before a concert. I decided to have the New York Steak. Oh my goodness, this was one of the softest pieces of meat I've ever had. The food was amazing.
The service, just as good. Our waiter was attentive and made sure that we were taken care of.
I'm definitely a fan, and will definitely be going back
Currently, the menu has an Asian influence and the food is excellent! We had a large party and EVERYONE really enjoyed their dish. Not only was the main dish outstanding, the appetizers were amazing and the desserts were very tasty too! My favorite dessert was the chocolate cake.
Went here for dinner on Saturday night and the staff was friendly and on point. The food was amazing - we had the chef's special which were jamacian jerk ribs that fell off the bone and the sauce that came with it was seriously so good. We also got the seared sirloin, key lime pie, and creme brulee. Loved everything including the atmosphere. Would definitely come back and recommend!
