4.5/5. Giving the restaurant 5 stars for Google due to some great service and a great atmosphere in my opinion. This joint was really great. I loved the vibe and the service was very friendly and helpful. The ramen was also really great, and I like the twist this spot takes in creating their own unique broth (chicken and pork based). I originally came here to try their Tsukemen since I haven't seen it around Denver in ramen joints before and left very satisfied. It's definately beaten out a few spots I've tried in other, larger cities. I also tried their signature ramen and was also really happy with it. It's not the taste I'd go for every night but it's a fun and unique flavor. This place ready stands out with it's homemade noodles in my opinion. Very good and some of the best I've had in Denver. I'd consider trying to buy their noodles and making my own broth at home if I ever find the need to try making my own ramen. Overall I'm really happy with the spot and I hop business is going well for them. There weren't a ton of people in the restaurant when I dined in on a Friday night, but they definitely deserve it in my opinion.

Ordered the Ramenstar and the Tsukemen ramen star. Even though, it says Tonkatsu, the tare is very unique so the ramen really has its own thing going on.The toppings and regular and rarer chasu are delicious. The noodles are some of my favorite that I have had in Denver. The tsukemen is definitely on the greasier and thicker side compared to a lot of ramen places I have tried in the US. Love it though. :)

I revisited this place on Dec 13, 2021 and experienced the same friendly service. We came a little early, but the door was unlocked and we were greeted warmly and seated. I love visiting a place where I feel like they are happy working there and happy to serve me. The interior looked upgraded from my last visit. I loved the flooring and the wood panel on the wall. There was a big screen over the top of the kitchen entrance that had ambient coloring changing screens. The food and service was awesome as usual. Pricing seemed more expensive than my last visit, but since the pandemic, it's been my experience in other restaurants as well. I liked that the employees were masked.

Best Ramen in Denver! I spend a lot of time in Japan, and this place is a gem. Oishi desu! Service, ambiance, decor and food are all top notch. The Gyoza was Narita-san gyoza-house authentic, and the kara’age chicken was perfection. The Ramen? Complex, flavorful and house made. Not rushed. All natural, and lovingly prepared as it is in Japan. Not just food. It betrays an artist’s hand. Nicole is amazing. Personable, knowledgeable, attentive, genuine, and with a smile and an aura that will enhance your entire dining experience.

It's delicious! The broth was very rich and creamy, the flavor changes as the temperature of the broth changes, in a good way! Highly recommended!

Local friends took me to this place and I can not believe it isn’t packed from the moment they open. Every dish is done with fantastic attention to detail and is as tasty as anything you’ll get in Japan. Not exaggerating here. The gyoza are delicious and delicate with a perfect crispy hot base. The pork buns, the crispy fish buns, the shrimp shumai, chicken kara age… superbly done and delicious. And then the Ramen… the spicy miso, the ramen star signature, spicy kimchi, miso, shoyu…fantastic. If you like ramen and Japanese izakaya style food, get to this place asap.

Hands down the best ramen noodles I have ever ever had! Completely Fell in love with the pork buns. I love the dishes from a local artist, the decor and the overall ambiance of this place. Nicole was amazing! Great, now I'm craving noodles.

They make their noodles in house! Photo attached. I've been to plenty of ramen places in the US and this has the best noodles by far. Perfect hardness and thickness. Their flagship confused me for a second as it didn't come with an egg but with a lime instead. However, the broth at the end was still full of the famous umami finish. You can see the fat skim to the surface which demonstrates the time needed to make the broth. I do have to admit, the broth tasted different from other tonkatsu ramen I've been used to but I believe that's due to them not using MSG and using a couple different ingredients (more local?) resulting in a slightly "brighter" and clearer broth. Next time I want to try the ramen star ramen with the option of everything to see what the $10 upcharge is for. Service was great, food took an appropriate time. Overall, this could be a great monthly spot for ramen. Also they have shareables like wings which I've seen someone else order. Parking is street only.

Really flavorful food, the pork buns might just be my new favorite thing! Excellent ramen with noodles and broth made in house. Our waitress was friendly and helpful with answering our questions. The setup for social distancing works really well. Will definitely visit again.

This place reminds me of shops I used to frequent daily when I lived in Yokohama and Tokyo. I love that the flavors are traditional yet unique! This place can get super busy for a small shop so the wait times can be lengthy. The flavors are robust and the staff is friendly. Great for a date night if you can beat the crowd.

It was the most delicious ramen I had in Denver. Pork bun was also very soft and delicious. I will visit here again to eat Maje ramen next time!

Best noodles ever, and the IPA from Japan was killer! They have traditional ramen, but also a few cold noodle bowls, which are so nice in the summer!

Best bowl I’ve had in this state. Third time visiting, and today came straight from the airport. The tsukemen broth and noodles couldn’t have been more authentic, fresh, and flavorful. Truly a perfect ramen experience. The shumai were also insanely light and decadent, nearly got a second order to myself. My server Robert was super kind and enthusiastic. You’re a moron if u aren’t frequenting Ramen Star.

A wonderful Ramen Shop, as always! Dinner menus are hand drawn and written, often menus we'll have different descriptions from each other. Very fun! A wide range of ramen types, from traditional to Exotic and expensive. I went on a limb and tried the chocolate Ramen, it was very interesting and very good! Still not sure if it was supposed to be a dessert Ramen. I love the risk and bold menu choice!

Loved the ramen, our waitress was lovely, and the restaurant is cute. I loved that the restaurant felt very laid back and calm. Things were a bit busy but the food was worth the wait. The broth is really savory and delicious. Our drinks were nice. They have to go ramen too. All around a good experience.
