Waveland Cafe - Des Moines - Photo album

This is a good place for breakfast. Omelette was delicious. Place was busy the whole time we were there. The hashbrowns were cooked perfectly not greasy at all. Parking is an issue here. You may have to slide down a side street.
I WENT THERE AGAIN 04/12/2022 See bottom of this review. Waveland Cafe has a variety of tasty breakfast offerings. I was here for the Eggs Benedict . My wife and I went here so I could try their "Bennys" . I have a "top ten" list for these. After our visit I rated these "Bennys" as #1 out of 10. My
Liked this place a lot, very busy on a Sunday morning. Very friendly staff came and checked on us pretty often, Great atmosphere. The food was good.

All the patrons were super kind and patient and all the staff was positive and efficient. It’s always good to ha
If you want a small hometown cafe feel, this is the place to go. I’ve always gotten breakfast here and it’s always been great. Definitely my favorite breakfast place around the Des Moines area! They play some upbeat music and the cooks in the back always seem to be having fun!
All the locals I talked to totally recommended this place and now I know why.. Not only is the energy great there as a whole but the food is delicious. The staff is smiling and laughing and feels like family from the get go, the atmosphere is welcoming. We got 6 different things between us all and E
My husband and I always go to the Waveland on University every Sunday. Our food has always been perfect. The staff there are kind, polite and prompt with our food.. The ladies are always smiling and cheerful like we all should be.
Waveland Cafe is riding the crest of public approval these days and for good reasons! Good food, friendly service, hometown character and history. My only complaint about the "skillet" meal was that it looked and tasted like an omelet over hash browns. Where's the skillet? Parking is a hassle even
