Whenever I am in Des Moines it is always a treat to be able to stop by Noah's Ark Restaurant for a meal. It’s been open for decades and is one of the city’s institutions. I ate meals there when I was growing up and now it’s a pleasure to be able to take my own kids there to enjoy everything from the Garlic Knots to the Meatball Pizza. The music is amazing; typically Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra. It has the feel of a “classy joint” from years past but doesn’t feel old or out of date. The wait staff are all adults who take their jobs seriously and make the customers feel valued (if you get Mike as your waiter you’re in for a treat). I can’t say enough good things about the place.
Add Noah's Ark Restaurant to our list of Des Moines staples. My husband and I had a delightful Valentine's eve dinner consisting of house salads and baked spaghetti and Italian sausage for him and Fettucine al Burro with chicken for me. I had a glass of Luccio moscato with my meal, and for dessert we split a cannoli and a slice of tiramisu. Our server, Denny, was friendly and attentive. We loved the romantic atmosphere that felt like a step back into the 1940s, when the restaurant first opened. We'll be back!

So I am all about giving a good review when the time calls for it. Noah's Ark was wonderful! I loved the romantic nook they sat us in. We had a lovely server, they played great music, the ambiance was perfect, the food was excellent and for the price it just doesn't get any better than that! Noah's has been around but might not be everyone's first pick out of all the new places opening but I certainly recommend it and I will be coming back!
I love this place, so much charm from way back. Atmosphere is nostalgic and lovely. Food is on point, dinner salads are always fresh which sadly is rare these days. Food is amazing♡♡♡♡
Noah's has been one of our go-to restaurants for as long as I can remember. Wonderful pizza, pastas and the best burger in town. The best staff and great atmosphere as well. It's a locals favorite!!!

The blinking lights over our table got to be irritating.
We celebrated our 48th Anniverary with Noah’s last night. Service was wonderful food out of this world. 50 years ago we enjoyed the same world class service. Hats off for not changing!
Great, friendly, unusually fast service and the food was beyond good. We had Pizza, Steak, and Chicken Livers.....best around anywhere.....they were all prepared with unique blends of ingredients and sauces. I am hard pressed to say I've ever had better.
My daughter is a very picky eater and when asked where she wanted to eat for her birthday, she chose Noah's Ark. She just turned 6 too. We had reservations for Friday at 6:30 pm and were seated promptly. The server Andres was most polite and attentive. He was making sure he topped up our garlic bread and drinks. The onion rings were fabulous. After you eat those, you will never ever settle for anything less. Crunchy, lightly battered and hot! My daughter and husband had spaghetti with meatballs which were polished quicky. I had spaghetti al caruso and it was out of this world delicious! They also gave my daughter a very generous serving of complimentary chocolate sundae/ Somebody came to our table towards the end of the meal to check on our experience.
This place is truly a Des Moines gem! They offer unparalleled service and authentic Italian food.

Noah's is wonderful. I love the pizza and of course everything else is good too. The service is always top notch. I always enjoy myself!
