Haiku is a wonderful place to eat sushi and relax. The servers are all really attentive and very friendly. But really, the reason I go there is because the food is wonderful. They have plenty of vegetarian options and that's important to me. Great food, great service, and they're open every day! What more could you ask for?
A friend took me out to lunch today. I haven’t had sushi since we went to Florida 7 years ago. It was so delicious! I had squid salad, California roll, shrimp roll and sweet potato roll. The service, ambiance and food were superb! Can’t wait to go again.

One of my very favorite places to eat sushi when I am in Des Moines. Excellent, fresh variety of options....well presented and served by gracious hosts. I also love the intimate touch of the fresh longstem rose on the table and the blue vibe always makes me feel warm and happy inside!
Hubby and I went there for early Valentines dinner and staff and food was excellent!!! Will def be back again!! Highly recommend it!

My fiancé took me out for dinner last night..1st time I'd ever had sushi.. We got a love boat to share. Everything was so delicious... The staff was very friendly. My 2 martinis I had were perfect.. it was an awesome night!!!

Had one of the best sushi rolls I've ever had at Haiku. Definitely will get the Las Vegas roll again. And it's very reasonably priced. Staff is very friendly. Will make this a regular stop.

Out of all the sushi joints I've been to this one is easily I my top three. Just looking at their menu you can tell they really take the quality of their product seriously and focus on doing one thing really well- and they seriously do. I've never had a bad experience there and it's in a very fair price range for the product and service you're receiving. All the waiters are nice and great at their jobs, the atmosphere is chill (usually with some top hits playing softly in the background), and the food is near perfect. Couldn't ask for more!
Amazing experience! The sushi roll I ordered ended up not being my kind of thing and my waitress (I’m so sorry I didn’t grab your name) brought me a substitute with no extra charge!! Genuine hospitality to keep a customer happy ❤️
My favorite restaurant in Des Moines. The service is beyond amazing and the staff go above and beyond to make your experience memorable and full of smiles. The food is prepared and presented beautifully. I have eaten most of the food available on the menu and can honestly say I have never eaten a bad meal at this restaurant. HIGHLY recommended.
Stopped in here after seeing it while out and about one day. It was my bday and my wife and I had been burned on a couple of new restaurants we had recently tried so we were hesitant. From the service, to the drinks, to food, impeccable. The food was delish and reasonably priced. Had 3 drinks, 2 apps, and a roll and paid under $100, and that’s including the over 20% tip. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
Absolutely fantastic, food was great, service was great, restaurant clean, drink prices reasonable and we were having such a great time that they let us hangout past closing time.
