A group of 4 of us hiked up the stairs at 6:30 on a hot (+90) degree afternoon and were the only ones there for a while. Fun place to enjoy a summer evening with a cold drink and Tacos from downstairs. Had a great one man band that was very talented. Good sounds and lots of creativity. Good drinks and they love to talk about your favorite or making a special just for you.
Food was good but slow. Service was non existent but mainly due to our waiter who was clueless or didn't care as he was texting while he should have been getting us drinks. Skinny little dude, possibly owners son, request a different waiter if you get him. Otherwise beautiful place to go on a nice
Great atmosphere on a warm night. Extensive bottle/can beer list and typical cocktails. No beers on tap. Pleasant music. Food is standard, not so special. Nice to come and talk.

A great atmosphere unlike almost any other in Des Moines. The staff is friendly, the food satisfies even the most cynical of diners, and they have various kinds of booze. What more could you want?!
Was in Des moines for a concert stopped in after and my bartender/owner was fricken awesome. They shell out some fantastic drinks and are very hospitable. Will definitely return.!
