While visiting Miracle Springs for the day and after a spa service I was quite hungry. Capri is the only on site restaurant at the resort. The service was extremely slow with veteran servers taking their time. 3 tables with 2 waitresses and a bartender. The newbie waitress was very attentive and moved quite fast. Initially I requested to sit outside but the tables were filthy and the waitress took her time to clean it so I sat inside. Ordered the burger and fries the waitress must’ve noticed my frustration, when the meal came, I got an abundance of fries. The meal was hot, delicious and affordable!
During our vacation we stayed at the hotel and this restaurant was attached to it, we only had the breakfast but it was so good we came around 3 times! Our server Adam was very attentive and kind to us as well making sure everything was good and refill our water/coffee through the service! The pancake special and the mirage melt were hands down the go to picks! They serve you two nice giant fluffy pancakes and the melt comes on a big croissant! 10/10 would recommend to try! We can’t wait to come back!
Fantastic dinner Capri doesn't disappoint! Have gone back on many occasions and the food quality and value can't be beat! Nice little quaint table with lit candle glass of wine and nice piece of lasagna all good! Ask for Tommie he is a Damm good server!
There were a lot of hiccups when we visited, but our waitress made the best of it. Although we waited for over an hour(It wasn't busy at all) for our food, it was pretty mediocre. We were told the chef was working on it and we're just waiting on my dish, but when it arrived it was warm at best. The coconut shrimp was a bit overcooked but I didn't mind as it gave a little more crunch. All in all this place is a decent Italian place. We are going to try their breakfast in the morning.
*stay tuned for update*
Excellent food. We shared shrimp scampi and eggplant parmesan, both outstanding. Excellent wine choices and a tasty margarita. Friendly, attentive service. Definitely worth a try!
Once again. We found a gem. At first it was a little hard to find because it's located in a hotel. But once found we really liked the atmosphere. Staff was also well and clean dressed. Very attentive as well.
There is also a full bar and they also have a small but nice weinlist. Mostly American wines but still a pretty decent selection for a low budget.
We started out with an appetizer. The combination plate. Mozzarella and zucchini sticks very pretty darn good. I mean, there is only so much a chef can do with them. But let me tell you, they were so good. I usually don't eat alot of onion rings but hey, since the other two were so good I tried them and OMG...they were absolutely amazing....best onion rings I have ever had.
I also ordered a side salad which was pretty big and to my surprise it wasn't just the white lettuce roots...it was green, real lettuce...some sort of spring mix...very good....and the homemade blue cheese dressing....once again, absolutely amazing. I was impressed.
I always order lasagne because that tells me how good an Italian restaurant really is (when I visit an Italian restaurant for the first time). The lasagne was a 6 out of 10. Don't let that discourage you. The lasagne was still very good. Some bites had too much herb taste and the cheese could be a better quality. Pasta was perfectly aldente. I also didn't like to see chunks of tomatoes in the sauce. That's a big No No in Italian sauces. Skin and seeds have no room in Italian sauces.
We also ordered chicken scampi which again was absolutely delicious with the rice we were served.
I can't point out how hard it is to find in this town a good restaurant but we did it. Absolutely amazing place to eat. Everything we ordered was very good. And here comes the best part: only $79 for the whole meal that included 2 mimosas and a cocktail. How is this even possible....Cece our waitress was also super attentive, humble and super friendly. Thank you Cece for the amazing service. We can't wait to come back here and try all the other foods they have on the menu. Please go and eat here. You won't be disappointed.
Finally had a chance to try Capri tonight and we really enjoyed it. Food was okay / good, the service was good, but the best part was the people watching. There were some very unique people coming in and out of the restaurant and it was extremely entertaining. We will definitely be back.
Fish & Chips at an Italian restaurant in the middle of the Californian Desert, who would have thunk!?
To my delight they also had Malt Vinegar which I took as a good omen.
The Fish (Cod) & Chips come in 2 sizes $10 and $13. Mine was the more modest $10 serving.
The batter was different than traditional Fish & Chips and not in a bad way. It was almost like a Tempura batter, light and not greasy. It was not soggy at all and the chips were nicely seasoned and crisp.
It came with a small side of coleslaw, tartare sauce and you can request ketchup (sauce) and lemon wedges if you like.
If you are not a big eater like me the smaller size is sufficient but if you've built up an appetite go big!
To top it all off the busy staff were very friendly and accommodating and the order came quick.
Restaurant inside the Miracle Hot Springs Resort & Spa. It is also accessible from the pools area, which is very convenient if you have a day pass for the spa and would like to have a drink and have lunch. The food was tasty (we had a Cobb salad and a Reuben sandwich, a cocktail, and a great Bavarian Paulaner Hefeweizen), and the waitress very friendly.
We had appetizers and fish and chips. The appetizers we had were fantastic. The calamari was a bit over cooked but still had great flavor. The fried ravioli was perfect and shrimp Cocktail was perfect too.
I had the lasagna and incredible breadsticks tonight and raspberry iced tea which they just kept pouring… Kudos to my waiter Ricardo… Right out of the Italian Riviera… Lasagna was to die for and I kept ordering more heavenly breadsticks… What a great experience such a cute place… Truly love the desert daily crumble which was apple pie topped with spumoni ice cream and heavenly chocolate sauce with nuts… Five dollars! Couldn’t believe my eyes! A place not to be missed… My pallet thanked me for taking myself there and I think the Capri for giving me such a wonderful dining experience… They just keep getting better :-)
What a great place to eat had more food than I could eat definitely I recommend
We celebrated our 49th wedding anniversary here. Our server Cece was delightful & gave us excellent service. Fillet Mignon was great. Wife had the veggie rueben & loved it.
We also ate breakfast here. Our server Adam gave us great service. The breakfast food wasn't as good as dinner.
It's delicious. Very Authentic and rich. I recommend it. Definitely durt haply hour from 3 to 6(Not sure). But they have actual drinks with liquor you would taste.
Had a fantastic lunch here today. Spinach salad was on point. They also have a great burger.
My server Cece (Cecilia) was friendly and very professional. How she keeps a wonderful disposition dealing with todays customer service is beyond me. 🙂
Awesome job !!
My husband had family coming into town this evening. We dined at Capri since that was the most convenient for everyone. The food and the service was actually surprisingly very good. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere. The only thing was that my husband’s French dip was too salty for him. However, the meat seemed like a very good cut.I had the cheeseburger, which was actually cooked to perfection and the meat seemed very good as well. The waiter we had was very nice. We had a fairly large party and overall everything was very good.
