Andiamo Riverfront is know for its fantastic food. There is not a bad choice to be made. The service is excellent without being intrusive. The view is unsurpassed but window seating is limited so book early if possible.
While visiting Detroit we decided to eat at Andiamo's, and it was worth the trip. We had the Calamari appetizer, I think it was the best Calamari I've ever had. For main coarse I choose the Frutti di Mare, all I can say is wow, it was so good.
Customer Service Sets This Place Apart!!. Had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The food was great but I did have a problem with my dish. The waiter and manager jumped to ensure I was completely happy and satisfied. Fantastic tortellini and crab cakes. Wonderful wine! Great view of the water. Looking forward to visiting again when in downtown Detroit!
Pretty good. Not my go to place for all Italian, but this is OK. The location is wonderful, the food OK, the prices are fairly high.
Thursday Wine Dinners (Tastings) are Out of This World!. I’m a frequent business traveler to the Dearborn/Detroit area, and this was my second visit to an Andiamo Riverfront summertime weekly wine event, their “Passport to Wine” series. Both evenings have been fabulous! Besides a sampling of great wines from one country or another (Chile and Australia on my two trips), the wines are paired with small-plate courses that are absolutely amazing every time.
From my experiences at this and Andiamo Dearborn wine tastings, I think that the chefs have an opportunity to get creative and show what they’ve got at these things. The food always seems to taste better at a wine tasting than when eating off the menu, but it may also be the great family-style, wine-drinking, atmosphere or the magic of the wine parings ... not sure, but they are always fabulous events.
The sommelier and staff have always been spot-on. Excellent service paired with very interesting stories and information about the various wines of the tasting. After a tasting or two in Dearborn, I have become a regular customer there, and now plan to do the same at Andiamo Riverfront.
I had dinner there while on a business trip this summer. While my food and drink were both delicious, the service was very, very slow. Maybe it was crowded or something. Not sure. I enjoyed sitting outside by the riverfront, so that kind of helped ease the wait time.
Clam chowder is to die for, lick the bowl good....
A good Detroit tourist stop. Great food although pricey. Downtown in RenCen what do you expect. Have eaten here everytime I come to Detroit and every meal has been good. Service becomes slower as the crowds move in after 6pm. Get an extra drink to hold you over.
I like it. We went to Andiamo for lunch last week with a group of 8. Other than our server not seeming to recognize that we were not wanting a 2 hour lunch, it was a great experience. I had the Salmon Fettucine which was so good that I went back for it for dinner a couple nights later. It is a nice restaurant with nice atmosphere (though lunch service could be a little faster).
My all time favorite restaurant. This is the only place where I can come to have consistently outstanding meals, as well as service. Keep up the great work!
