We had breakfast and lunch here while in the D for a few days. Absolutely loved the atmosphere and the food. Our server was Paul M and we had nice time chatting with him. Highly recommend!
The food was great, as was the service. I ordered a chilled English pea and buttermilk soup which was heavenly. I also savored my main dish (French veal tenderloin), and the Orange ice cream dessert was a perfect closure to a fine meal.
We are from Austin and were in town for a Red Wings game, a traveling friend recommended this as one of his favorite restaurants in the US, which intrigued us. We were very impressed to the level of “we have not had an excellent suckling pig like this since Conrad Hong Kong or Hawaii”! The pork shoulder was a complete home run! Started with the oysters and the beef tartar and it just got better! The service was on point, everything timed perfectly! We will always come back here when we are in town! Kudos guys, well done!
Food was phenomenal, recommend the salmon deviled egg app, sweet potato gnocchi & Osso Buco! Great wine list too! Staff was top notch!
We had a great time, the setting is incredible and the food was very good. We got a tour upstairs and everyone was friendly and helpful except for our server, she was a little rude and counted on that party if 8 automatic tip. Her name was Nicki, she did not really care about our order or food. Everyone else was wonderful. I gave it a 5 in spite of our servers attitude. So get in and make the trip to the Apparatus Room, worth it.
Is it possible for me to rate this TEN stars?! The ambiance, the cocktails, the food, the service: all impeccable! So much so, we decided to stay an additional night at The Foundation!
Went for brunch. They are on top of their game. Each of our entrees were fantastic. The room is super cool with plenty of hints of it's past as a fire station.
The food was delicious; highly recommend the fried Cauliflower and brusselsprouts!
The food was top-notch, service was excellent the food and Bev manager put together a quick tour of a couple of rooms upstairs really enjoyed ourselves .
