You can find Las Delicias de la Abuela at 5499 Buford Highway NE, Doraville, GA 30340 across from a large QT just South of I285. The building has had many restaurants at the same location including several Mexican - from what I recall it originally held a Del Taco - the building still has that same shape and appearance from the street. Parking is in a lot that surrounds the building and it can be a bit difficult to get to from the North as BufHy is divided to provide turning lanes to I285. The restaurant is a bit on the small side which harkens back to its fast-food roots - on one occasion while I visited there was a guy singing classic Colombian tunes but that may have been the exception rather than a regular thing.
Pretty good place If you want to get your fix on colombian food ! The empanadas were amazing, and the main courses were awesome but they could do a bit better on their drinks !
I like to stop here when I go to Buford Farmers Market. Going to the market is a treat for me since it's so far but eating here makes the trip even better. I have tried a few different dishes and all were good.
Home cooking - full of flavor
Exactly like home! Nostalgia satisfied.
Something for everyone.
The menu is designed for Native and those wanting to try something new (Spanish, English and pictures to boot)
Very authentic atmosphere and delicious food. Very flavorful and well prepared. It is however, a Colombian place and they were playing very loud Mexican music which seemed out of place. I will definitely be going back.
At first I was a bit skeptical because I had seen some recent negative comments after Covid-19. However, I decided to give it a chance. Food was amazing, service was great! My husband and daughter ordered the Sobre barriga which was super flavorful and I asked for the "Arepa con queso and steak". No regrets whatsoever! I'm glad I didn't listen to the recent comments. If you are looking for a place with great service and awesome flavorful Colombian food, trust me, this is the place to go.
*timing: it did take a bit of waiting (about 30min) as food is cooked at the moment but trust me is worth it.
Food was really good and my service was professional! I’ll definitely be back to try something else on the menu as today was my first time here.
Casual and delicious. I went there for breakfast on a 1st date. Very spacious area and I noticed they have a stage (maybe for live performance). Staff was very friendly there. They speak English and Spanish. I ordered the Cantao Tradicional and added a sausage. I also oreder d the guava juice. My date ordered the Cantao, added steak and a mango juice. Food tasted good. Everything cost 34.30 after tax and tip. Completely worth it. I would definitely recommend for a group of 2-4 people.
