FANTASTIC! My fiance Larry and i went for an early dinner and were super impressed with every bite and the service was great! The host and server were acommodating, warm and informative. The atmosphere was also very nice, clean sand relaxing. Love little historic updated gems like this.
To start we shared the crab bisque (du jour) the flavor was great, it was silky smooth with crab in every bite. We also shared the baby kale salad with beets, almonds and omg the goat cheese was heavenly ☆☆☆☆☆ !!
I got medium rare (cooked to perfection) steak frites and had to ask for another side of au poive bc i needed it on every bite and every frite! Larry got the (soon to be award winning) pig n fig burger. Wow the pulled pork was melt in your mouth perfect. Such a delicious combo between two buns � ☆☆☆☆☆!!
If we had any room we would have tried dessert but were so satisfied and stuffed. Keep up the good work chef Pete and team! We will be back!

Food was delicious! Highly recommend the crab cake sandwich, all lump crab and wash it down with the water wheel martini! Eric our waiter, was great, knowledgeable of the food and bar selections!

Fantastic the brunch is here Wonderful service no pressure while dining so it is easy to talk with the people with you. Food is wonderful a choice for anyone's preference Will definitely be back to try all the venues. The outside patio looks fresh and comfortable. Atmosphere definitely shows off the historic ambiance after all Lafayette liked it so I've been told

Had my sisters bridal shower here! Everything was great! The waitstaff, the party coordinator and the manager were all awesome, plus the food was really good and the servers also helped carry gifts to the car! I would highly recommend for private parties!!
We had my daughters Bridal shower there this past Saturday! I was very pleased with everything! Hannah and her brother (sorry I forget his name) were Awesome!!! Jim, the manager checked in a couple times to make sure everything was going well. The food was so good!! I would highly recommend this venue for a party.
Excellent food, reasonably priced and great atmosphere. We enjoyed it and will be back again! Highly recommend the snickers pie for dessert!
Awesome lunch great service! The cocktails were amazing! I highly recommend the "Parisian" martini! Salad and buffalo chicken egg rolls were great. Will def revisit soon!
We arrived at almost closing time and they were gracious enough to seat us. The food came out fast and I had the turkey salad that was very good - I think the best was the Rubin sandwich which was excellent. Around the other side of the building is the Wheel ‘museum’ well worth a visit -it’s why I have so many photos…
First time there. Pretty plain atmosphere however good service and food make up for it. Food was served hot and prompt. ( Philly cheese steak and burger cooked perfectly) GREAT Martini . For a local restaurant I would check it out. Worth the trip !

Great all around; can't go wrong. I buy many Waterwheel Gift Cards for family & friends- everyone loves it! Updated, Beautiful atmosphere, comfortable dining, great food (often new items on the menu), great service, and plenty of free parking. We primarily dine-in, but love the food & take-out too. Always a great experience. I highly recommend.
Great little spot for a tasty bite to eat. The staff was friendly. Sweet potato perogies were awesome. Pickle Burger was a first, but won't be the last. We'll be returning.
Great atmosphere. I suggest reservations. Menu is broad. We had three appetizers and selections from the sandwich section. Food was great burgers cooked to appropriate stages. Great fries lol
We met with 15-20 women for a happy house outside area. Awesome time. We ordered appetizers and had lots of cocktails. The female bartender was very friendly and quick. The food was very good. They have a great happy hour menu.

Place is really cool. Food was excellent! For apps, we had cheesesteak egg rolls, which came with a Blanco cheese sauce and it was amazing! I got the Thai chili salmon, it was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The smokehouse burger was huge! They definitely don't skimp on that portion size. Drinks were tasty and for dessert we got the apple xango with ice cream. So so tasty! I can't wait to go back and try more items! Also, Harry our server was great!
Here in the basement for a coed baby shower. There servers are awesome, the food was delicious, and the place is gorgeous. Will come back for dinner to this out of the way gem.
First time at this restaurant and it was AMAZING!! From the atmosphere to the food to the service. We went to the Sunday morning brunch and the food selection was great! Our waitress was great and very informing when we asked her about the place. We will DEFINITELY be back!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We were back and yet again a great experience! Delicious food friendly service! I used to come here when it was the original Water Wheel and Dave was the Chef/Owner. What a transformation! The food is amazing and original and the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming! Always nice to be back in the hood and see improvements on the past.
I hosted my husbands 40th birthday party at the Water Wheel Tavern and have to say it was such a wonderful experience! The food, staff, space (we were in the cellar bar), and overall attention to detail were all superb and so appreciated! Everyone had a wonderful time. I definitely wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this as a venue to anyone looking for a laid back space with excellent food and service!
