The food at this restaurant is unabashedly rich, the portions are huge and my friend and I left the place wanting to make out with the chef.
This is a small joint with a decent sized bar and really dull lights (the reason I gave 4.5 instead of 5). The place has about 10-15 tables and it was packed on a Tuesday evening.
We split an eggplant starter and pasta primevera in white sauce with spinach noodles (they have that substitute for egg noodles in all their dishes), with a side of their salad.
The eggplant came first, which was 2 pieces of eggplant in red sauce, cheese and mushrooms. This was followed by the noodle salad in balsamic, which was served in two different plates because they actually understand the meaning of 'split'. Both the dishes were fingerlicking good and we were too full for the pasta.
But then the pasta came ( in two plates again) with all it's caramelized vegetables and the fragrance and we HAD to dig in. We were literally struggling to breathe but just couldn't stop from taking another bite and sit there in our foodgasms. There was no way we were gonna finish that pasta and ended up boxing it.
It cost us less than $40 and I'll be going back fosho!
First, the service is OK. Let's be honest though, the only person I want to be amazing at their job is the cook. Our waitress was good, not great, but helpful, attentive and just a little rough around the edges. The way it ought to be at an Italian eatery.
I had the seafood and sausage dish. Amazing! The sausage was the perfect spicy. Lots of shrimp. My only complaint? So much food I had to take it home as leftovers.
I grew up in a city known for its Italian food and this was some of the best I've eaten. Do t judge a book by its cover.
THE best crab cakes I've ever eaten, including in Boston. Great homemade pasta too.
This place is amazing! Its expensive, but everything's homemade and so delicious. So worth it!
Delicious, BUT not great for a vegetarian. The food here is amazing. I mean really, everything that I have eaten here has been completely delicious. The problem arose last time I visited and was informed that their red sauce (which goes on the eggplant parm and other "vegetarian" dishes) is cooked with the meatballs. So basically, the only option that a true vegetarian has is to eat the alfredo sauce. The alfredo sauce is delicious, but since I'm not interested in super high calorie dishes, I don't have any good options at Moretti's. If you are a meat eater or are a vegetarian who doesn't mind sauce cooked with meat, then go check this place out and be ready for a delicious meal!
One of the 4 best Italian restaurants...5-stars. I have dined in. My wife and I frequent Moretti's and I have known the Owner/manager/Chef, Tommy, for over 15 years. Moretti's is without a doubt one of the 4 best Italian restaurants we have dined in, ever. That includes 2 trips to Italy. Ambiance is average, but the food....superb. Best wedding soup I have ever had. Best eggplant parm I have ever had. Their King Salmon is wild-caught, and with their home made pasta noodles, is "to-die-for". Their pasta is made fresh daily. Try the tiramisu for dessert. one of the best we have ever had.
Eat at bar or carry out. Outstanding, quality food and good portions. The place is way to tight on space. Tell Tommy to loose a few tables to make it better for everyone who wants to eat inside the place. Try the veal Moretti, it is a 10.. TEN!!
Only real authentic Italian here!!!!!! Delicious homemade meat ravioli too!!! It's a must-do!!!! Would reccomend
My Favorite Italian. Man, I love this place. The portions are huge and everything I've had there is awesome. My favorites are Chicken Moretti and the Eggplant Parmesan. The seating is crammed, but it adds to the character of this place. Most of the customers are older and have been going there for years. The best day to go is Monday when they have all of their chicken dishes half off.
Steve Davis. Moretti's is the best Italian restaurant in Dublin and in the top 5 in Columbus. You must try the house salad and the veal Moretti with extra pasta. It is superb. The service is special and it is an interment location.
Best Italian in central Ohio. I love Moretti's!! the food is top notch every time. all of their pasta is made fresh every day. servers are fast and knowledgable. the downsides are that they have to pack a lot of seating into a small restaurant, and that the place is always packed. you should make reservations if you want to eat here. I am looking forward to trying their other location in Upper Arlington...
Good food, but suck it in.. FOOD/DRINKS: Great food and large portions although many items priced a bit higher than they should be.
ATMOSPHERE: Very Tight and uncomfortable. You have to hold your elbows in when you eat. You are on top of everyone's conversation.
SERVICE: Good. Wanted to share some entrees with people and asked for extra plates. Apparently they charge to split the meals. A nickel and dime move and a little bush league.
IMPRESSION: Although some of the items I like are overpriced, I still pay it b/c they are very good.
COMMENTS: I would like to go more but the atmosphere keeps me out of the place.
Fettucine alfredo melts in your mouth. Moretti's is my favorite Italian restuarant...ok the atmosphere leaves a little to be desired but the food is spectacular. The manicotti & fettucine are my favorites. Bring an appetite because its more than most can eat in one sitting.
Moretti's is truly one of those hidden gems. You would never expect to find home made Italian in the middle of a strip mall! Food is excellent, abundant, and reasonably priced so show up hungry! Great selection of wines as well.
By far the best Italian food in Columbus! Everything is hand/home made besides the penne pasta. Haven't found a bad item on the menu. Also the prices are incredibly cheap for the quality and amount you get.
For over 20 years, this is my favorite restaurant. They never disappoint. The fresh salads, the amazing bread and butter, and my favorite dish, eggplant parmesan, made with homemade pasta. Love. I take all my friends here to introduce them to the best Italian food.
The BEST Italian food in the city! Homemade noodles, delicious dishes, soooooo fantastic! This is my favorite restaurant in town.
First time eating at Morreti’s this evening. Food was phenomenal and service was great. Perhaps the best Italian food in Columbus.
Best Italian food in Columbus hands down !
Food was really good, as was the service. The atmosphere could be improved.
Try to eat there at least once whenever we visit Columbus. Great Italian food and a great wine list. It’s small and noisy like most NY restaurants. Have always had great service. Reservations suggested.
