Great atmosphere, friendly staff, nice high ceilings give an open feeling. Plexiglas between tables. Indoor and outdoor dining available. The food is delicious. Make sure you get the tavern salad. It is the best house salad I've ever tasted.
The worst feeling is going out to eat and thinking "I can do this just as well at home". Well, that is NOT the case here. Very well prepared food with great seasoning. The ambiance is a bit loud bit that may be a result of all the extra COVID plastic bouncing sound all over the place and funneling it to your ears. I'd wager this is it. Had the Porter House, Lobster Tail, Scallops, and Shrimp Cocktail. All were great and the best seafood we have had in Ohio (for Oyster we go to the Pearl).
Such a wonderful place to dine! Staff was absolutely outstanding. The outdoor dining was a great option, plenty of social distancing so no need to worry. Shout out to our favorite Mary for always taking great care of us and our friends. Food, drink, service are great. Make sure however to make reservations because they fill up fast.
This is a place you can go with a group of friends or on a romantic date. You can dress super casual or you can put on your best, you set the tone. The staff is friendly and the food is delicious. There are many things on the menu that you can share, this was a late dinner so we both ordered our own entrees and shared. The sides also come in sharable portions so be aware when ordering. The only thing I would change is the mash potatoes. I don't know if they were boxed or whipped, but they were thin and I didn't line the consistency.
My friend and I met this evening at The Avenue and were hosted by 2 of the most enjoyable bartenders we have ever met. Both Drew and Taylor were not only friendly and efficient, they were very easy to talk to which made our evening so fun. If there are any bonuses to be made, we would recommend Drew and Taylor to be given. Because of the great tasting food and your fabulous atmosphere (and those 2 guys), our next evening out will be back at The Avenue :)
Good atmosphere, professional staff, and really good food. Their French onion soup is spot-on; The Chop House Corn is delicious; and their steaks have a wonderful crust on them, like a really good steak should. Perhaps one of the best steaks in Columbus. It's definitely on the more expensive side, but worth it if you could afford it. :). One of my favorite places in Columbus.
The ambience was colorful, the restaurant was very well maintained, the staff was amazing and the food was phenomenal. I got the rotisserie chicken, crabcakes, 7 flavored shrimp and garden salad. Highly recommend this restaurant its definitely a place I will go back to.
