My wife and I went for BBQ but discovered it was Saturday steak night so had that instead. Our ribeyes were done perfectly and so delicious, and were large enough that we took about half home. The sides were delicious as well. And the price was so reasonable we'll be doing this again, and soon.
The food was excellent. We were driving by on our way home to Alabama And because we were starving decided to stop. Best stop ever. The ribs are amazing . I normally put plenty of sauce on my ribs but these Were so delicious Just as they were. The brisket was good too, And my husband really liked the Pulled pork. The portions were big too. All in all, A great stop for great barbecue.
I was in town for a family event and we came here for all you can eat fish night. I had to be a rebel and tried the bean bowl, which was a bowl of beans covered with three types of smoked meats, onions, jalapenos and shredded cheese. It was awesome! Huge bowl, too much for one person to eat! Service was friendly, waitresses answered all of our questions.
Busy place. So a little wait time should be expected. Family environment. Some cool old stuff to look at.
I had the ribs. They were tender and flavorful. The salad was good as well.
My wife had the 8oz. Ribeye , fried okra and potato salad.
She said the potato salad tasted like it had pickle juice in it and didn’t care for it too much. I demolished it.lol
I’d definitely come back if I’m ever in the area.
Staff was awesome. Clean Restrooms
My husband had the when pigs fly and I had the poilet. Both sandwichs were filling as we both can eat a lot. The onion ring are crunchy but not too hard that you can still fold them for dipping in sauce.
Drove 90 miles to try this place. Wasn't disappointed . I had the 4 rib plate with onion rings and fried okra. Got 2 big ribs and 2 tiny ribs. Whoever is in charge of the pit knows what they are doing with ribs. Not overly smoky or overly cooked. Excellent ribs. Strange thing though. I asked for some jalapenos and the waitress offered grilled jalapenos. Great! But when they arrived, they were pickled jalapenos that were grilled. I was expecting fresh. Oh well....
My wife had a 2 meat plate brisket/sausage with a salad and onion rings. The brisket? You are offered 3 types- lean, moist, or chopped. Went for the moist which comes from the fattier part. Once again, whoever is at the pit knows how to cook brisket. Nice and tender and smoked just right. Her sausage was odd. Looked like it was cooked in a home made bbq sauce. I expected regular smoked sausage. It was good, don't get me wrong. Just unexpected.
Only "complaint" I might have is they need to up the napkin game. Bbq is messy and the napkins fell short. :)
I will be back.
Ah-may-zing!! No sauce needed! Ribs, brisket, green beans, coleslaw and potato salad. Good lord, this is good!! This is Texas at its finest! Totally worth the trip! Fun view of the little airport. Cute bathroom. Fun atmosphere. It's where the locals go, so you know it's good!!
