Harold & Cathy's Dumfries Cafe - Dumfries - Photo album

This place is on the North end of Dumfries on Route 1. I have been going to this place for over 20 years. It is simple food that is very good! It is a small cafe where you order your food, set down and they bring it out to you. The place is clean and well run. Family owned and operated. If you wa
Came in to grab food with some brothers from CMC. The food was great the atmosphere was great. Food game out quick and tasted great. Another Parton picked up our tab. Will come here again if in Qauntico again.
The food is very simple, but done very well. Quickly made, friendly staff. The atmosphere is between non-existent and dorm room…but for some reason it kind of works for a “diner”. Minority review: It’s in Dumfries which is mostly black & brown, however the patrons did not reflect that. A hint of th
This place has character. This is a true mom and pop restaurant that serves up quality comfort food. This is a local cafe in every sense and we loved it. For Saint Patrick’s day they had a corned beef and cabbage special. I cleaned my plate and wished that I had more.
My wife and I had breakfast at Harold and Cathy's Dunfries Cafe on a Saturday morning. Dumfries Cafe is a wonderful little diner on Route 1, right where the northbound and southbound lanes diverge. It's actually right between. We started with coffee, which was served at the table. Food is ordered at
Lovely little place in Triangle. Has always been busy when I stop in, but efficient and friendly service abounds. Order at the counter and find a seat. Food delivered hot. Pay up front, so no waiting for the bill. Had the chicken salad and fries. Was not disappointed.
Great local diner style breakfast place. Coffee is self serve. You order at the counter and pay at the counter when done eating. Met a friend I hadn’t seen in a while and we took up seats for 2 hours. The place was packed but we never felt like they were looking for us to leave. I even brought my ow
Great food, very friendly staff, super quick service!! We were completely satisfied all the way around... he enjoyed his corned beef hash so much he wanted to order some to go! Definitely recommend 👌
Quite a unique experience. Order and pay (after meal) at the counter, self-serve first cup of coffee, find a seat, and let the server handle the rest. Prices appear fair for their quantity and quality. Mostly local clientele with "regulars"
Harold and Kathy's has been in Dumfries since I can remember, and is the last bastion of local - hometown decency. The service is great, the waitstaff super friendly, and the food is down right great. The place is small, and fills up in the morning, so don't dilly dally and get in. Overall, expec
This was one of the best diner experiences I've ever had (and I visit diners as much as humanly possible)! The service was quick and the women taking orders at the register and serving food were friendly and attentive. We felt welcomed as soon as we came in. From the outside, the restaurant is non-d
Food is delicious!!! I’m glad I took my parents out for their anniversary breakfast!! The food and service was good!!! And it took them 5 minutes to bring our orders and that was the quickest out of all restaurants to bring our food! This is a place I recommend for anybody! I’m definitely coming bac
It’s been years since I was here but delicious as always, Roast Beef Supreme sandwich with home fries, cup homemade Chili and Carrot Cake dessert yum. I’ll be back
If you’ve never been to Dumfries Cafe, you are missing out on a local treasure. It doesn’t matter what you order you can’t go wrong. As a family we frequent Dumfries Cafe for breakfast after church on Sundays, but my favorites are the wing dings, steak and cheese and the Ruben.
We have been going here for Years!!!! Love the food and are DEVISTATED that it will be closing on October 1st. Bless you all and good luck to whatever your future brings
When you finish watching your OCS candidate run the moto run on family day and he's starving, you find th local diner and order a big breakfast. You are thankful you beat the rush, and then your husband gets up and starts busing and cleaning tables. Yup, that happened. The food was yummy and we woul
