Best Asian Fusion in GR!
This is my family’s favorite Friday dinner place. We come almost every weekend and now they know us by name. The family that runs it is super nice and accommodating to vegetarian and vegans — they’ll even make the sushi vegetarian. This place is truly a local gem and worth a visit. Their random hot sauce is pretty good but watch out for the chili oil — super hot. Pro tip: get the side soup with your entree.

YUM! I seriously love this place! I have been 5 or 6 times and have gotten something different every time. Everything is so fresh and full of flavor. The portions are huge for the price of around $8-$10. The customer service has always been fantastic. I love that I can order online and pick up, or when I have ordered in for to-go, it was super quick as well. The bathrooms have always been clean and have a nice smell when I have used them. This is just a super good find and I will keep coming back.
Updated: I have gone another time, and wanted to add the pics of my meal today. Once again this food is delicious. Today I got the 'black gold' with chicken. I added peapods to my order. I love that you can have them add any veggies to your dish that do not already come in it, or take any out for that matter (although I have never done that). I also got a 'cold salad' which was also delicious.
I ordered my food online, and it was hot and ready for me when I went to get it around 15 minutes later. Love this place =) Also, when you order online on their website and create a profile, they give you discounts with every purchase. Fir instance today, I got $1.33 off from my previous order in October.
Great food and service, convenient stop for lunch/pressed for time. The restaurant is clean, the staff/owner? came out to ask how our food was which was nice as you order at the counter. The food came out hot and tested fresh. Could use a touch more seasoning but they have very good house made hot sauce. Would definitely go back.
Staff was patient and helpful in me, a first time visitor, decide on and order my food. The guy behind the counter was friendly, humorous and not pushy at all.
The food: absolutely awesome. I ordered a tofu pad Thai dish and was pleasantly surprised by the quantity AND quality of the food. For only $9 it was a great deal!
They bring the food to the table, they clean up the dishes, they refill your drinks, it’s like a sit down restaurant but with a walk up order station.
I will definitely be coming here again! Keep up the good work Wok & Mortar!

Our new favorite restaurant since quarantine! I’m so happy someone recommended this place so highly. I didn’t THINK I liked Asian fusion cuisine/ street food. However, I LOVE WOK & MORTAR!
I am Gluten free and Dairy free, and only occasionally eat chicken or eggs. Thankfully this place accommodates my diet perfectly, although they do have gluten and dairy and meat items available, of course, but it’s easy to find multiple things to enjoy if your diet is more limited.
So many pluses! Can’t find a single thing wrong with this place.
Super helpful staff if you’ve never eaten this type of food. Be adventurous! Ask questions! This was how I got hooked. You will be so pleased with the result!
TIP—> Get a Hippie Slush. You won’t regret it. Avocado and coconut milk and deliciousness. It’s the perfect compliment to the happy spice in your mouth. Not too sweet.
TIP—> You can order each entree by spice level! Kick it up! It’s soooooo good! Or if you can’t handle it, just get a 2-4 level. I love spice and 8 is perfect for me. If I’m sharing, I’ll get it 6-7 to be courteous to my family.
TIP—> Extra large portions means it’s great for sharing or having leftovers.
Family owned restaurant. The connection between customer & employee is genuine every time. Daily soup runs all week long like egg drop soup or a delicious turkey concoction from Uncle Va. They are always patient & kind. I think it’s great that you hire local high school employees so they can build their work ethic within your restaurant. Wok & Mortar has other locations in Michigan - serving for over 10 years. They have DEFINITELY mastered delicious fusion food. There are fantastic daily dine in specials like half off sushi & appetizers. You won’t be disappointed in any of the Wok & Mortar restaurants. Just check it out for yourself!!!
Taking the bowl experience out of the Americas for an Asian flavor. Service good. Food even better. Plenty of seating if you want to eat in. Food served hot enough that it’s quite warm when you get your takeout to your own dining room.
Good Asian street fare with hospitable hosts. We enjoyed two entrees, a set of sushi rolls, and some appetizers. For our toddler and us it was eaten up. The experience was quite nice and we will definitely be back. We really appreciated how quite it was and that we were given a good understanding of the operation before ordering.
I love the Nutty Masaman with rice noodles and vegetables or tofu, the Fried Rice with fried chicken or vegetables, and the crab wontons. The owner is always friendly and accommodating. Clean restaurant and fresh food.
I'm usually very skeptical of fast food environments for Asian food but this one did it very well. I would say it is a Qdoba meets Core Life Eatery. For about 9 bucks, you get a very tasty dish full or flavor. Mine was tofu in a basil penang sauce with a rice mix of brown, jasmine, and red rice. Tina had chicken in a peanut massaman sauce with rice noodles. Seating could be limited if it got busy but I feel like most people get carry out. I enjoyed dining in though because the dine in environment is clean and comfortable.

So I’ve been craving Chinese for a minute. Mind you I live in Hastings Mi so there’s not many options close so I’ll travel for my food. I’ve never been here and I read online it has a decent rating. This rating did not disappoint by any means. The lady at the front counter was super helpful in my ordering she was kind and relatable. Food was immaculate! I loved it! I was surprised with it being gluten free.
