The assortment of delicious treats is staggering and you can get most in a variety of sizes, all reasonably priced. The breads are nice and crispy on the outside & soft on the inside, baked perfectly.
Their lunch specials are a great deal, the half size sandwiches are big enough to share. I highly recommend calling in your order ahead of time to avoid the wait.
The staff is also friendly and doesn’t mind describing all the wonderful pastries.
Sorento’s is one of the best bakeries in this area. Their strawberry short cake is delicious and to die far. I love sipping on my tea in the mornings while eating a slice of the strawberry short cake.
Their lobster tail pastry is delicious too. I come here for all occasions.
They made me a beautiful cake for my wife's birthday. Everyone got a slice and it was delicious.
Sorrento’s Bakery is a gem in East Hanover for all their baked goods, cakes, pies, pastries, cookies and bread. The deli has sandwiches that are great, along with hot food and catering too!
Excellent bakery that deserves 5 stars but I would give 1 star for service. We went there yesterday and we honestly felt like we were bothering the very young girl that was working. There was no hello and after we ordered our 3 things there was not even a thank you. She didn't look like she was happy to be there.
Wonderful discovery! Best chocolate eclair I've ever tasted. Bread, cakes, pastries, italian imports, deli counter...what's not to love?

The food is awesome!
I gave it four stars because the past two visits I haven't been very happy with the service.
I've been going here for years and recently the service seems lacking, no smiles and almost like we are an inconvenience as the customer. The younger staff seem to want to take a drink of their fancy ice coffee or check their phones rather than help you. I'm not old so I'm not a cranky old person, it's just disappointing, they've always been really good with customer service except these past few weeks. I get it, the people are tired, it's very busy, I get it but customer service goes a long way.
Nice deli and bakery. Ordered my daughter’s first birthday cake from here and it was a unicorn theme, came out perfect and we were very happy with it. Also ordered sandwiches when we went to pick up the cake and they were good. It was our first visit here but we had a good experience and the cake was so cute.
Fresh bread, our favorite dry pasta, and much more.
We also like that the cakes have small signs describing the item. You don't have to ask each time you see something you think you might like.
And ... nice staff.
Consistently excellent bread and pastries over nearly 8 years since I moved nearby. My mother now requests items from this bakery when she visits from out of state, and friends in other towns in NJ frequently ask if we can bring fresh bread for dinner when invited over.
The bakery has currently the cutest and good tasty Easter cakes and cookies for kids!

#12 the prosciutto and cheese was delicious. A half sub is more than enough food. My friend likes #13 with capricola as well. They were pretty fast even as the noon lunch rush approached. They’re pastries looked good as well. There is some parking.
Ordered this custom cake from the bakery for my daughter's bday. It's a red velvet cake and we asked to infuse strawberry in the fillings.. it was very nicely done with good quality and taste was awesome. Price was very much affordable. Thanks to the bakery. I would definitely recommend this bakery.
This bakery is amazing! I haven't tried the deli part yet, but the delicacies, cakes, and loaves of bread are fresh and delicious. I wish I had gotten the girl's name - the girl helping me packed my box of treats so well that when I had to make a sudden stop, the food was perfectly fine even though they had flipped 100% upside down. The service is friendly and the food is to die for!
This is a wonderful bakery, has the absolute best birthday cakes and desserts! I love their bread and sandwiches on their lunch menu.
